Dealing with Marston has been one of the most stressful experiences I've ever had. They failed to respond to my complaints and concerns, and instead kept pushing for payment without properly addressing the situation. Their communication is poor, their approach is aggressive, and they showed no care for the financial or emotional impact on my family. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone.

I received multiple phone calls a day. When I answer them they often disconnect.
I missed payments on a payment plan I had in place because it was entirely unaffordable. I expressed this concern when I originally entered the payment plan but was told I had no other option. I was strong armed further into debt.
I spoke to a less than helpful guy yesterday who I explained to I could not afford the debt in full. I got a phone call again today from an obnoxious Irish woman who was more shouting than brains. She demanded I paid in full and when I explained I could not, she just kept re explaining the process in a condescending manner, as if I'd finally understand and magic 2 grand out my backside.
If I'd been offered the option of a manageable payment plan in the beginning this entire situation would have been avoided.
It unethical and isn't a good code of practice to force your prey into a position where they are pushed further into debt rather than have the option to recover from debt.

I received a text message stating I owed money and that enforcement agents are coming to my property. I called the agent detailed on the text which I thought was a scam. Agent was unhelpful, rude, argumentative and arrogant. They wouldn’t give details on anything. I eventually found out through the website that I was being chased for a debt owed to a Clean air zone via a council. Most of the chargers were made up fee’s by Marstons.
I was able to prove that I had paid the original fee for CAZ and provided this to them. Marstons couldn’t provide me with any evidence... even though it was requested multiple times. They also take weeks to get back but yet if you don’t abide by their deadlines they threaten you with added made up fees. The debt was no further action. Currently taking legal advice against them for unsolicited threats. Not sure if it’s children running/working for the company or just really uneducated chancers.

These people are the worst scumbags I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Utter scum, that like to attened old lady's addresses, barge there way in frighten 80 year old women. There aggressive and shouldn't be allowed to operate. Scum of the earth

I worked for Rossendales debt collectors via Marston Holdings. Adrees Ahmed our boss made sexual advances towards me and because I did not respond he fired me even though I was doing the job well. The company said that he was a touchy feely kind of guy when it was raised with them that he was touching me without my consent and saying inappropriate things. I still have the paperwork if you would like it

Yet another dodgy debt collection company as evidenced by not having telephone or email contacts that allow normal communication with them. Received someone else's debt demand, but impossible to inform this company that this person is unknown to me and has no association with my address - or rather the online form they sent, required me to attach my own personal documents - which no one in their right mind would do.

Absolutely useless.
Can't eventually set up a direct debit (so the main thing this company does, they can't do correctly). There one purpose and the fail at it miserably.
Don't care about people at all.
Just a horrible company through and though, full of evil money hungry incompetent idiots.

Got a text saying I owe £1200 tried to call saying this isn’t my debt either I’ve been scammed or they’ve got it wrong, they asked for my address to pass security and have it to them and they said incorrect ? But it is my address? So I can’t pass security as I have no other address to give them as I’ve been scammed? She told me to call back when I can pass security. Will be hiring a lawyer. Sham of a company

Apparently Marston Recovery.
They called me about a debt I had. Knew my details and who was owed even though I had sorted a payment plan with my debt company. Threatening to visit in the next 2 days to take goods. I felt so sick with worry. I contacted my debt company gave all their details over to find out they have NOT instructed anyone or company to take over the debt and take further action. I even asked them to send over any correspondence they’ve had from my debt company instructing them to take over and apparently they are now looking for documents.
Please be careful with these. They are good at scaring you. Also if they do contact you about debts be sure to contact your creditors and ask them if they have instructed anyone to take over the debt and receive a home visit to collect goods and ask for copies of all correspondence for proof.

This is a bunch of losers. You send in correspondence and they ignore it. They threaten you with all sorts of things under the sun. Indeed UK is out to losers. Marston can do better than this. Talked to a call centre and she is so unprofessional and very insensitive i wonder how they get such contracts. I can imagine if one is not strong will see them committing suicide coz of the manner. As an ordinary person one has to be strong. These are making people feel so so bad
PREPOSTEROUS AND SHAMEFUL

Just called Marston, explaining to them that I get paid next week and will make a payment, but they threatened me by saying that they can't do anything about bailiffs coming to your property. Before the council hands over the account, they should do a background check on them because it's stressing me out, and I suffer from depression. Can Someone advise what I can do? Come Wednesday, I will make a payment.

I know somebody who works for this company, she calls vulnerable people and harasses them into making payments despite pleas for more time or being unable to pay. The employees have clearly had ZERO training in how to deal with vulnerable people. This employee has even called a person who had no debts with Marston's at all, to try and get extra money. She left a voicemail stating her company and changed her name so it couldn't be traced back to her. She has drugs in her home, and has allowed gang members into her home too. While working from home and on a "break" for 10 minutes, she assaulted a vulnerable person along with her gangster boyfriend, posted threatening notes through their door on more than once, tried to injure their dogs with pushing random pills through the letterbox and even going as far as to leave nails lying around directly outside the vulnerable persons door, and harassed the vulnerable person and his carer for a year straight. She's been caught drinking driving and all has been reported to her employer. Employer has taken NO action against the employees behaviour, attitude or anything. it's becoming increasingly clear that this company and all it's employees (bar a few who actually care) don't care at all unless they get their money, even if it's not under their system!

Company allows their employees to actively assault and harass vulnerable people, even those who have no debts that Marstons have brought etc. A particular employee has been reported for a multitude of abhorrent behaviour, even whilst working from home, and has taken part in illegal activities involving drugs. Marston's have been made aware of this employees behaviour, actions and been provided with evidence of this, and yet despite claiming they respect and care for everybody including vulnerable people, they have failed to follow their own policies and shown a major lack of empathy towards doing the right thing. The employee still works there and it's clear that this company doesn't not follow a single word they say on their site. Avoid like the plague and report every employee because by law they cannot do a damn thing with our debts!! Wastes of space

Con artists think they are police. Tried to turn up at old neighbours adress saying they are there to "arrest" the previous tenant. They are absolute clowns . Special place in hell for any idiot dumb enough to be involved in this scummy malevolent practice just to try to take from civilians of Great Britain. Absolute SCUM.

i have them an email from telling me to pick my Goods in address and the goods no here westing my time and can't locate the where they but the staff it is unprofessional special department of Goods Removed Department.

I am absolutely appalled by the treatment I received from Marstons. As a young, pregnant woman, I’ve never experienced anything so distressing. I received a £2.50 fine from Dartcharge, which was a mistake on their part and shouldn’t have been issued in the first place as I had already paid to go through. I provided receipts as proof, yet the bailiffs showed up demanding payment. They completely ignored the evidence and threatened to forcibly enter my home where I was alone at the time, take our cars, and seize our possessions within 30 minutes unless I paid a fine that had somehow ballooned to £500. The stress this caused me, especially being young and pregnant, was absolutely disgusting. I shouldn’t have had to deal with this, especially when I had already paid a fine that was never my fault. This company’s behaviour is beyond unacceptable and disgusting.

Dart charge paid with receipts and letter from Dart charge themselves to say account was fine. Marston arrived and bullied my daughter who was 7 months pregnant and did not care into paying a fine despite all the evidence. Threatened forced entry and to remove cars. Absolute disgrace. Mark the bailiff how do you sleep at night did not care about my daughters wellbeing. Am seeking legal advice and will not stop until this company are closed down.

SCAMMERS!
Long story short....unknown to me I received two £5.00 Dart Charges for a hire vehicle. I was then abroad and had never received any communication from the hire company. The first letter I received was from Marston saying I had an unpaid debt with crazy charges added. I explained all this to Marston and obtained advise. I received an email from Marston confirming my account was on hold and I appealed via Dart Charge (TEC). Zero communication later from either Dart Charge TEC department or Marston and a bailiff turns up at my old address!!!!
I am still abroad and there is not any outcome to my appeal at this stage and this company send even send any follow up email at all and then behave like this! I don't know the outcome yet of my appeal and my account should still be on hold.
The stress they have caused me by their totally unethical approach is a disgrace. I will be finding out the status and then taking legal action about their conduct.

One star is too high. They claim to offer many ways to communicate but do neither. All my calls cancelled unless I pretend to be calling to pay.
Why if 97% agree they are so bad, do they exist ?
Has anyone taken them to court ?

I paid a overdue parking fine that I forgot about a few months ago and all of a sudden this morning I had a bailiff at my door trying to seize my assets or I had to pay him the money that I had already paid with interest. Someone messed up down the line and I have the bank statements to prove it’s been paid yet they didn’t want to accept that as a response.

I’ve now paid double the fine because someone didn’t document it properly and I’m having to dispute it.
