I think it's the worst light in 3 years…

I think it's the worst light in 3 years since I've been riding a bike, you pay so much for it to break so quickly, I have a 3 year old light, I paid 5 pounds and it still works without any problems.
I bought one a year ago and it broke, I bought another one after 2 weeks and it broke, I changed it because it has a warranty, after 2 weeks it broke.
Looks like they need to change their name to broken magicshineuk.

MagicShine warranty + customer service

Having had my Magicshine Allty 1000 v2.0 for 3 months (bought Oct 2025) it started to fail to charge or work. I sent the unit for warranty in the hope that it would be either repaired or replaced. I was disappointed to find that the warranty was invalid as water had found it's way into the charging port. Each time I charged the unit I closed the port using the rubber seal, however somehow the water had got into it. Due to the poor weather we have had in the UK recently I have had no choice but to cycle in heavy rain. When this was explained to their warranty department they would still not accept any repair or replacement. Being also a first time customer they were not prepared as a good will gesture to replace the unit as a no-fault issue. This I find to be very poor customer service. I have elected to buy to different manufactures product in the hope it is of better quality and the customer service is better. Moral of the story is not to buy MagicShine if you intend to cycle in the UK.

Customer service was next level !

We purchased 3 magic shine MONTEER 8000S

The service we received from Nick when we were looking at lights for the bikes was next level he helped us find the best light to suit our needs and the conditions we ride in and the locations, We run helmet mounts for all 3 lights and they get used in all weather and hold up very well.

We had an issue with one of the lights in the beginning so I contacted Nick and told him about the issues and within 24 hours we had a new light.

The customer service that we received has been next level and we would recommend Nick and his team to anyone !

Once again for all your Motocross/ MTB light needs Nick and his team will help you all the way !

These lights are that bright your friends get jealous and end up buying one themselves 😉

I Bought a Seemee 300 rear tail light…

I Bought a Seemee 300 rear tail light from Magic shine. The light is great and delivery was quick and easy. After a few months the light unfortunately overheated but the customer service was 5 star and a replacement was sent immediately meaning I could carry on commuting with a great back light. The staff (Hannah) were very helpful and friendly throughout the process.

Terrible battery quality, POOR customer service

Product Review: Magicshine MJ6116C Batteries

Purchased through Moorland Distributions Ltd

I am writing this review as a highly disappointed, long-time user of Magicshine products, including their excellent head torches. My issue is strictly with the reliability and longevity of the MJ6116C battery and the disappointing resolution offered by the supplier.

I have now experienced the same catastrophic failure with three separate battery units. The failures occurred despite taking meticulous care of the units.

The supplier's diagnosis was that the cells had "undervolted" due to being left uncharged. Following the first failure, I became religious about charging the subsequent two batteries immediately after every use. Nevertheless, both of the newer batteries have failed in the exact same manner.

This is unacceptable for professional-grade equipment. The most recent failure occurred while I was out on site, preventing me from completing my job properly. Three identical failures strongly suggest a fundamental flaw in the battery product itself, not simple user neglect.

Customer Service Experience - Lack of Goodwill:

When I contacted the supplier regarding the first failure, I was quickly shut down due to the warranty having expired, and the fault was attributed to my charging habits. Despite requesting out-of-warranty support or goodwill assistance for a loyal customer, the only resolution offered was a 20% discount code towards purchasing yet another battery.

Given that two subsequent, diligently charged batteries failed again, the lack of willingness to genuinely investigate or resolve a recurring, costly, and workflow-critical failure is extremely poor.

unfortunately I have lost all faith in the reliability of the Moorland Distribution & Magicshine MJ6116C batteries. They are, in my experience, not fit for purpose. Potential buyers should be aware that if these batteries fail, even outside the warranty period, the supplier is unlikely to offer anything more than a small discount for you to purchase the same unreliable product again. I strongly recommend caution.

Bought a seemee 300 and has been faulty since purchased. It works then won't switch on, this happened twice last year and again today. I've emailed magicshine twice and had no response.

Responsive & helpful

I have always found MagicShine to be very responsive to queries and questions.

Yes, I did have a warranty issue with my 18 month old Seemee 200 V2, but I contacted their support, posted them the old one and had a brand new one land on my doorstep in just over a week later.

Allty 400 plus a Seeme 20v2 combo

I bought an Allty 400 plus a Seeme 20v2 rear light as part of a combo set in September last year, and it’s already failed. The rear light just won’t switch off, making it completely useless. For something less than a year old, this is ridiculous.

What’s worse is that I’ve tried contacting Magicshine a few times by email and have had no reply at all. Zero customer support. I believe they don't have a phone number listed either. Really disappointing for a brand that claims to be reliable.

Honestly, I feel let down and would not recommend this product to anyone. Spend your money elsewhere.

Allty 600 and Seemee 200

I ordered the Allty 600 and Seemee 200. They mistakenly sent me a used rear-light but they corrected it so quickly and with no fuss (thanks Nick).

The lights themselves are even better than expected. Light, robust, well-featured and bright.

Would be totally happy to recommend them to any of my friends.

Great customer service

Bought a combo package with front and rear lights earlier this year and unfortunately had an issue with the mount where the screw threaded. This meant the front mount wouldn't stay on the bike and I couldn't use the light.

I contacted customer service and Nick was really responsive. Once I'd sent photos of the issue he promptly sent a replacement to me so I can go back to normal use. Brilliant customer service and the lights themselves are perfect for what I need.

MagicShine Specialized under seat mount

I purchased this to mount a Seemee DV to my Sl8 Tarmac. The original rubber band style mount would not work with the aero post. This looked like a perfect solution.

However after the 3rd ride approximately 150 miles the bracket has snapped on one side. It appears it is not strong enough to hold the Seemee DV which is quite heavy.

Magicshine bracket broke on first ride and didn't realise until cafe stop, resulting in losing seemee dv
as it don't come equipped to take a lanyard. Not covered by warranty as they said it was excessive force that may have broke it.
