I ordered a bed sheet from Macy's online. That's supposed to be a Christmas present. That was definitely not the color what was in the picture. It's been forced in a smaller plastic bag , The zipper was tore apart , That shit set was hanging out 2 inch and dirty.

Deceptive Business Practices

I ordered this as a gift on 12/13 and was told by Macys that the latest arrival date would be Dec 19th. It sat on a shelf for 3 days and then UPS picked it up. UPS is trucking it across the USA apparently on the very slow truck of Macys as it will not arrive until after Christmas 12/27 and their CS could careless. So I went out and located item again in their Arrive by Christmas and loaded into cat and began check out to see they still say 3-6 days! So unless you want Christmas in July, I would recommend purchasing--

Another Horrible Macy’s Online Experience

With 10 days until Christmas, Macys shipped our online Christmas gifts (guaranteed to arrive before Christmas!) via USPS 10+ day shipping (in same state!). They simply sent us a causal email update notifying us that purchases will now arrive on 12/26. No explanation as to why they didn’t send via faster shipping. We’re done. Macy’s sucks.

They do @ toilet paper, math on refunds for lost packages.

I managed to get my Christmas shopping done on Black Friday, courtesy of Macy's. The first package arrived without a hitch, and I even got a nice surprise - $10 in Star Rewards from last year's purchases. But things took a turn for the worse with the second package, which apparently got lost in the holiday magic. After several phone calls, they finally issued a refund, minus the $10 in Star points, because who needs goodwill when you can make an extra $10? So, I'm out $10 and a bunch of presents, and Macy's gets to keep the change. Guess I won't be shopping there again anytime soon.

Done with Macy's

Haven't bought for a while as there doesn't seem to be anything worth buying. They've discontinued Karen Scott and Alfred Dunner items which are the only items that were decent and/or of interest to me, replacing with their own brands of overpriced, ill-fitting, poor quality items. So.....I'm so done with Macy's! The date of my experience was not a purchase but a disappointing search for something I was needing.

If I could give zero stars I would. Ordered online for a Xmas gift. When I put my gift card info in that I had it somehow reverted to my old address from before 2019. I called with in minutes of my confirmation email. Talked to 4 different people 2 of which I spoke with within 20 minutes of my issue of needing to change my shipping address. I was told that they can’t do anything unless it’s before 30 minutes. Yes it’s been like 12 but of course nothing they can do. Told me to change address on ups. But wait! UPS says due to sender restrictions I can’t change delivery addess. Screw you macys.com. Won’t use you every again

Called to have my e mail updated on my star rewards. Was transferred to 3 different people. Last person kept me on the phone for 27 minutes. Asked me for my address 8 different times. Not sure if ever was completed. I'll go into the store and hopefully get it updated. Not a Happy Macys customer. John Karl

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE!

Class action lawsuits inevitable! DO NOT ORDER ONLINE!! YOU WILL HAVE TO GO THROUGH HOOPS AND RED TAPE AND STILL WILL NOT GET ANYTHING ACCOMPLISHED. THEY WILL NOT ALLOW YOU MAKE CHANGES OR EVEN CANCEL YOUR ORDER. SHOP ELSEWHERE!!!! No store should hold a persons choice to cancel or change orders hostage! A 15 minute time window is NOT sufficient or reasonable. At least allow a 12 to 24 hour window for cancellations and changes. It's RIDICULOUS AND A TERRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICE! The company isn't processing orders within 15 minutes nor 24 hours so why keep customers in a chokehold?

Cust. Service solved my problem 0 out of 6 issues.

I just need to stop purchasing from Macy's online. They give no support at all. Placed an order and 45 minutes later, needed to cancel one of the items. Too late. They couldn't remove the product. A couple of weeks ago I returned a few baby outfits that ran very small. Received a gift card instead of refund on c.c. Before that, placed an order that gave me a delivery date, which was an acceptable date. I needed it as a gift. It was five days after the given date. I could give three other examples, but long story short, when something happens, their cust. serv is useless. They haven't been able to solve even one problem for me. There are too many other wonderful online sites to deal with Macy's anymore.

Online shopping is circling the bowl

There is SOMETHING going on with Macy's online delivery service. They have switched to USPS Ground Advantage, which is a renamed Parcel Post. It takes F-O-R-E-V-E-R to get your order. An order I placed on Dec 2nd is STILL not delivered, but an order I placed on Dec 4th was delivered on the 9th. The order placed on Dec 2nd shows expected delivery for Dec 10th, today is the 11th and it is still not delivered. When I called customer service the first guy could BARELY speak English and ended up disconnecting me after I had waited on hold for 15 minutes to talk to him. On callback I got a woman who was HEAVILY accented but at least could help me with my questions about my orders. I have noticed a distinct decrease in quality of service with Macy's (online shopping exclusively). They CLEARLY have outsourced their Customer Service to some obscure foreign country. IF these orders do arrive, I think I will stick to in-store shopping with Macy's. Whenever a company starts outsourcing, the problems with quality of service begin. It's not worth the headache. Nope.

Ordered sheets and comforter on Black Friday deal. Received sheets and no comforter. Called them after 10 days customer service said give it awhile longer them we can discuss options. I said only option is to resend. Then an 1 hour later they cancelled order and refunded my money. I never said to do that they should but people who understand English as customer service because obviously I didn't want my order cancelled. Never ever again no wonder they closed down so many of their stores.

Macy's Corporation, Bangladesh, India

Unless you find a product on sale, lower priced than ANY other retailer, don't order from Macy's. You have 30 minutes to make any changes and you'll spend 15 minutes getting through their antiquated online chat to actually speak to someone. Once you do get through, their agents are located in 3rd world countries, who work off of scenario scripts and if the answer is not on their script, they simply tell you that there is nothing else they can do for you. Tried to cancel/change my order within an hour, just to change the color. There's no way that the item was processed and shipped, probably won't be for days, but the customer disservice agent could not comprehend changing the color. I'm pretty sure he didn't even try since it was not on the script. American companies should beware - you may save a few bucks shipping jobs overseas, but in the end, you are costing yourselves money by losing customers. Incredibly short-sighted.

Worst customer service ever

Worst customer service ever. I spent hours on the phone trying to get my order straightened out. They finally put it through and gave me an order number. Then 3 minutes after i get off the phone, I get an email saying it is cancelled. Literally no one could help and they just kept putting me on hold and then would tell me the issue was with my credit card. Well, I tried several different cards and none worked so it was clearly an issue on their end, but they refused to acknowledge that. I think they just gave me an order number to get me off the phone. I'm done shopping at Macy's. I will go elsewhere that actually listens to the customer when they bring up an issue.

Worst Retailer Ever- Skip the Headache

On November 30, 2024, I placed multiple Macy’s orders as Holiday gifts. Somehow Macys used an old phone number to do a confirmation that I purchased these items (which they have never done even with large expensive items), because it went to an old number, and not the one they have on my profile. Then they cancelled half of my orders after I spent hours placing them.
They also sent a gift to the wrong address. I called customer service and got an overseas call center (yes, they told me it was a call center after they got the day wrong in the conversation). They claimed the order going to the wrong address was cancelled, but instead they cancelled an entirely different order. I used the chat to address it, once again I suspect the same overseas call center, and they advised me to return the item to the store. It was a gift, not going to my home address, and I found out a week later its nonrefundable.
This morning, almost a week later, I got notified that even though I was charged for 4 items, they are on backorder, and I have to wait for these holiday items to get to their destinations eventually, some time after Christmas which is useless, or I can cancel them. All these items are gifts going to multiple family and friends in other states.
Even though I have contacted customer service by phone, chat, and tried to problem solve using the online platform, Macys has ruined Christmas. I am not sure if they changed ownership or management because the past few years this store has taken a nosedive and, ever since they outsourced customer service, they are useless. Save your money and time and go elsewhere. I am now down hundreds of dollars, at least a full work week worth of time and more stress and aggravation than it’s worth. I just love paying a company for “ok” products and spending over a week not getting what I paid for. Go to JCP, Belk or even Amazon for some items, you can get the same product, better customer service, and usually minimal hassle returns if you need them.

Never again will shop elsewhere!

I recently purchased two shirts and a small crock pot from Macys!
Well neither top fits so went on line to return!
Shocked that I can’t return to Macys but to a direct vendor! Have been a customer for 40 years! Never once did it say could not return to Macys when purchased! What a scam! Is this Amazon???????

Macy's up and down prices are so…

Macy's up and down prices are so ridiculous it's pathetic. One day an item is on sale, days later the same is higher and the next the same item is even higher. Why do they think anyone would continue to trust their prices. You really have the nerve. A purse that was on sale for 33.00 then 50.00 then 74.00. The prices change while in your bag. What's the actual price ? There's no particular date it's all the time when shopping online.

Worst company reward! They do not speak english on the phone.They do not put orders numbers on their statements.You have to quess what you bought and what you returned! I spoke to 7 people on the phone because no one person can handle more then one anything!!
