From the very beginning, my experience with LVC was outstanding. The team was consistently professional, courteous, and genuinely welcoming. Around seven weeks before my first in-clinic appointment, I received a call from a lovely advisor named Meghan. She took the time to ask detailed questions about my eyesight, my job, and how my vision affected my day-to-day life. It was clear from the outset that they were focused on understanding my needs on a personal level. At the end of the call, Meghan walked me through the initial paperwork and explained everything clearly. The forms they sent were straightforward and user-friendly, and I was kept informed at every stage. When I later phoned with questions about my prescription, the team didn’t rush— they took the time to explain the surgery in more detail and how my eyes would adapt afterward. At my first appointment, I arrived early and was immediately welcomed by the friendly reception staff. They reviewed my paperwork and guided me through a series of diagnostic tests. One of the doctors then led me through several scans, carefully explaining what each machine did and what they were checking for. Her calm and informative manner really helped put me at ease. The second appointment included additional scans and a vision test, much like a standard eye exam. The optician went above and beyond, using diagrams to explain how vision works and what factors influence it. She tailored her advice specifically to me, talking through the healing process and the differences between laser surgery options. Her expertise and care reassured me, especially as I’d been nervous about the procedure. The third appointment was a consultation with the surgeon who would be performing the operation. He completed a final vision check and then explained the procedure in detail. He was calm, polite, and extremely thorough, ensuring I knew exactly what to expect on the day. On surgery day, I arrived 10 minutes early and was once again greeted warmly. A nurse walked me to a private waiting area where she talked me through the post-surgery treatment plan. She was very clear and insistent that I wear my sunglasses immediately after the procedure and explained why they were essential for protecting my healing eyes. Their focus on aftercare was impressive and reassuring. The surgery itself was smooth and surprisingly quick. The surgeon talked me through each step, and within minutes—after a couple of bright lights—it was complete. I was escorted to a dimly lit recovery room, where they gave me a small soft toy, which added a lovely, personal touch. Though my vision was still very blurry at this point, the surgeon did a post-op check and confirmed everything had gone perfectly. After 15 minutes of rest with my eyes closed, I was presented with my sunglasses and guided to the reception. The staff were absolutely fantastic. They didn’t just send me on my way—they made sure I had a safe and reliable way to get home. They helped me gather my belongings, stayed with me until my taxi arrived, and ensured I felt comfortable and prepared for the journey. This level of care meant a great deal, especially as my vision was still adjusting and it was uncomfortable to focus. I truly can’t recommend LVC highly enough. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine concern for their patients made what could have been a daunting experience feel completely manageable—even enjoyable. Just a few days after the procedure, my vision had already improved, and within a week I could see as clearly as I had previously with glasses. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and I’m incredibly grateful to the entire LVC team for their care and support throughout the process.

I had laser eye surgery at London Vision Clinic using blended vision, and the results have been incredible. I now have 20/20 vision! The team and surgeon were outstanding—professional, reassuring, and clearly experts in their field. The follow-up care has also been exceptional. I couldn’t be happier and highly recommend them.

Very supportive every step of the way, despite a few difficulties after the treatment. I felt attention to detail and level of care was excellent and worth the cost/travel for such a significant procedure. I was also impressed by the ongoing aftercare. Time will tell if I need an adjustment but it’s reassuring that this will be included in the package. It’s good to feel the focus really is on getting it right for the customer and not on profit alone, as it could be elsewhere. I’d definitely trust LVC with my eyes again and reassure others thinking of having this done themselves.

Extremely professional quality service resolving very long sight (+7/+9), astigmatism and cataracts with EDOF lenses in both eyes for near perfect vision

After a lifetime of navigating the world with sight in only one eye, having lost my right eye at the age of 17 due to a workplace accident without eye protection, the prospect of cataract surgery on my remaining eye at the age of 67 filled me with trepidation.

As my sight in my left eye diminished significantly over the past four years due to a developing cataract, simple tasks like driving at night became increasingly uncomfortable.

I researched very carefully to choose a surgeon and clinic with a resumé that instilled complete confidence. The London Vision Clinic was my ultimate choice, renowned for their expertise in complex cataract surgeries and their pioneering advancements in eye surgery. I decided to have a multifocal lens implanted, understanding that the risk involved was comparable to a standard lens replacement, and I'm thrilled with the outcome.

It has now been six weeks since my surgery, and following an eye test last week, my vision in my left eye is a remarkable 20/20 – an outcome that has far exceeded my highest expectations. This newfound clarity has already made a significant positive impact on my daily life.

I was very anxious about getting my cataracts removed, but the professionalism and the care I received by all staff at LVC was amazing throughout my preop, op and postop care.

Mr Darshak Patel is both a talented surgeon and a kind one. He talked me through what my ambitions were, managed some of my expectations and in the end he delivered exactly what I needed. I’m absolutely delighted with the outcome. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone considering having cataract surgery.

Surgery is a partnership. Mr Patel, the Optometrist Nabila Akbarali, the nurses and reception staff did their part so I did mine. I followed all the clear instructions I was given regarding the administration of drops and the care I needed to take week by week to ensure a speedy and uncomplicated recovery.

For those of you who are as petrified as I was about the surgery, rest assured it’s fine and the team take really good care of you.

I cannot speak highly enough about the staff, the facilities, and the service. From start to finish everything was excellent.

My SMILE surgery was performed by Glenn, who every step of the way was amazing; he was highly informative in my pre surgery appointment, thoroughly explaining every step of the procedure, post care, and any questions that I had. I also thought it was a lovely touch that he sent me a follow up message to see how I was doing post surgery.

The surgery itself was performed flawlessly, both Glenn and the rest of the team during the surgery were excellent. I didn't experience any pain during or after my surgery, and followed the post eye drop schedule to the letter. I also didn't experience any dry eye issues.

I also saw doctors Zahir, Darshak, and Emma for my pre or post surgery review appointments. All three of them were fantastic.

And last but by no means least, Kate was extremely helpful with arranging my appointments and Timothy and Lucy were both highly efficient in sending e-mails to me.

If and when my eyes do deteriorate, due to aging, I will definitely be coming back here. Have also recommended the London Vision Clinic to all my friends and family.
