Our tour guide was knowledgeable and very friendly. He took us to the typical touristy spots and parts that were off the beaten path.

Me and my 16 y.o. son booked a local walking tour of Trieste and, as requested, shared our interests and expectations in advance with our tour guide: literature, history, art, politics...when we got to the tour start, we were the only ones, our tour guide, though very nice and talkative, was totally unprepared.
While we made him a lot of questions about places, people and historical landmarks, his answers were so vague and often supported by a google search, that in the end we surrendered to a walk in the city chatting about this and that.
We could have done the tour on our own without noticing the difference.
When I shared this feedback with Lokafy, asking for a partial refund, I was refused and found the company as unaware as their local guides of what is a real tour.
Very disappointing and totally not worth the money we paid.

I’ll begin by noting Bern is easily one of the must underrated cities in Europe (IMO). We were fortunate twice: 1) to catch a once a year cheese festival that was culinary rapture, and 2) to have Graham as our host! Not only does Graham have extraordinary knowledge of the city, he’s thoughtful and charming and will take amazing photos (at sublime locations) which you will cherish forever. Completely fulfilled the tour’s stated objective of providing a warm, personal experience as if exploring with a friend. Not to be missed!

En tant que guide touristique, Lokafy m'a proposé d'animer une visite guidée de 2h avec un couple de touristes. En tant que professionnel, j'ai bloqué ce créneau horaire afin d'offrir la meilleure expérience possible au couple de touristes. Malheureusement, moins de 24h avant le début de la visite le couple m'informe qu'il ne viendra pas à la visite le lendemain. Croyant bien faire, je préviens Lokafy (qui n'était pas au courant) et je demande une compensation financière car j'ai refusé d'autres réservations pour le même créneau. Réponse de Lokafy : pas de compensation financière si l'annulation a lieu avant la visite et si le Lokafyer n'a pas attendu au moins 30 minutes sur place.
Bref, merci Lokafy pour cette marque de respect. J'invite tous ceux et celles qui souhaitent visiter une ville à prendre directement contact avec un guide. Vous paierez un plus cher mais vous rémunérerez à sa juste valeur quelqu'un qui est un amoureux de sa ville.

Our tour guide, Juan met us at our hotel in Oslo, introduced us to the public transportation system (I'm never adventurous enough to try those on my own) and guided us through many of the interesting sites of Oslo. She was knowledgeable, friendly and basically wanted my wife and I to have an enjoyable day touring a beautiful city. We were very lucky to have her.

I can't say enough good things about the entire Lokafy experience. We'll definitely be using them in the future.

I signed up to become a local guide in Vienna and was really looking forward to it. After initial registration, I received an email that I was invited for the interview. On the interview day, the link to the online platform didn't work and kept showing me an error message. I emailed the company twice and waited an hour with no answer. Later someone reached out to me via WhatsApp saying that they saw my email and that there was some issue with the link / platform used for the interview. The person offered me another time for the interview the following week and said that they would send me the link for the call an hour before the interview. On the actual day (that is, today), I didn't get any link to the session and no information...Disappointing and a waste of time :(
Update: after some time the company representative sent Whatsapp message claiming it was due to technical errors and extensively appologised for the situation.

We booked a tour MONTHS in advanced and arranged all of our travel around this tour. They rescheduled once and so we had to shift our entire schedule around to accommodate. The morning of the tour we were waiting for our guide to pick us up and nobody showed. We received communication after that they had decided to cancel the tour. To say this was a frustrating experience would be an understatement. This was a key tour to our entire trip - the first one we booked as it was an absolute must and a priority - and we are now unable to see it and nobody else has openings last minute. If you have something important t see on your trip I would avoid this company. Sending negative feedback is not something I normally do but I don’t want anybody else to end up in the same position as us. It is so disappointing.

The WORSE service we ever had in all our travel experience!!!
We have booked 2 excursions, one is in Belfast and another one is in Dublin.
So, the tour in Belfast has been canceled day before , fortunately I was able to find another private guide just one day before we arrived, BUT for next tour (in Dublin) a guide never showed up!!!
We were waiting him at meeting point for about 2 hours. No contact, no information what is going on. Finally, they just canceled the tour.
It ruined our only one day in Dublin, we were not prepared for this, we came over there in a cruise ship.
As a result, they refund our money in a week or so, no apology, nothing being ruined our trip twice!

My experiences with Lokafy I can describe as very good and enriching. As a Lokafyer I had a chance to meet, and show the town I live in, to many interesting people from different cultures and backgrounds. I would recommend Lokafy to travellers and potential Lokafyers alike.

The company is doing great as they are providing opportunity to travel to meet locals and have firsthand experience of the culture and places that has not been explored. Some tourists become good friends and they still keep in touch through social media such as Facebook and Instagram. The company also give a chance to foreigners living in Korea to meet tourists from all over the world. They can also learn about their country and culture. My experience is great with them. Everything is so organized and they have quick response system. They have people from different regions who are professionals snd trying to facilitate both tourists and locals.

Very good experience and Ilona did good job and consider my parents age and did her best to explain Innsbruck nicely.

At the beginning it felt just like an interesting way of earning some money and making good use of my spare time.
After my first tours, I realized that money was not the issue anymore. I did my tours for pleasure and happiness, showing my city to visitors as a Lokafyer.

What makes all of experiences great, is above all, the human touch, a good rapport. Now, what is it, clients are paying for? Information about the place that is a novelty for them, brought in a way that gives a good overview in an entertaining manner. They feel, that I like what I`m doing, which has an inspiring affect on them, a great experience, and this is, what I`m here to provide. That is basically what I have to say about it, there is no recipe I follow, except being serious about the booking, being punctual, polite, and helpful, to give them back their money`s worth, as much as possible, and this is how I operate.

I did many tours with Lokafy. What I liked the most about those experiences was meeting travellers (and therefore cultures) from all over the world. The best thing is when, at the end of a tour, you feel like you went through an enriching human experience during those hours. And luckily this happened to me in most cases, so I am grateful about that.

I have had the opportunity to meet incredible people from many parts of the world. I can even say that I have built a friendship with them, and I'm still in touch with them. I am very happy to be part of this incredible Lokafy team, and I can't wait to meet more awesome people during this 2024.

Our guide in Vienna, David, was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Vienna which was what we were wanting. His communication with us before the tour was prompt and he made it easy to arrange our meeting point. At the end of the tour he also helped us with tips on navigating our way around Vienna and recommended sites for us to visit. Thanks David.

Annalisa was great! She brought us to the different quarters in Venice and covered many local areas. We enjoyed being locals for the time she toured us, showing different food places- street food in Venice, walked by the schools and residential areas. My 11 yr old son enjoyed and learned a lot from her specially about how the campos are set up in the olden days.
I am glad we chose Lokafy tours and not the regular museum tours specially for my son, this way we saw many neighborhoods that we never could have seen on our own.

Tommy was an incredible guide. In Two hours, we covered a lot of central Bergen. He was very knowledgeable about all of historical sites and informative about Norway. He recommended some great restaurants
