Great reliable service, Crates are well packed with quality logs , I’ve normally buy the economy crate, for my log burner .I recently bought a half crate of oak for my pizza oven .

Disappointing
Easy to purchase and to arrange a delivery day.
Delivery man friendly and efficient.
However, the following day I removed the plastic wrapping to find that it appeared to be less than in the past deliveries. The logs were not neatly or tightly packed as before and there were many empty spaces as a result. there was an amount of space empty at the top, again , in the past the stack went right to the top level of the pallet. This time the logs stopped short and were loose at the very top and had moved around. The actual logs were individually scrappy and some much smaller than my previous delivery of Beech... over all, I was less pleased with the product and presentation... Lets hope my next delivery gets back on form.

Logs burn well. They arriving on the date agreed having had to change dates due to personal circumstances.
Was as always easy to order by phone confirming same order as previous.
Company has come a long way from the days when I would pick my logs up in our camper van with Peter loading with his broken down forklift truck

Customers should just pay and keep quiet
We have order from this company many times and been very satisfied but our recent order was full of very small pieces of wood. This is expensive wood and it did not represent what is shown in their online photos. When we complained they were unhelpful and basically just told us tough. We questioned them more and they said they had complaints from customers all the time about this. I ask if that was the case why did they not do anything about it, but they did not respond. It appears that customers or customer service is not something they care about.

However, for accuracy, we do need to clarify the situation.
All logs supplied were fully within our clearly stated 2″–6″ specification. Firewood is a natural product, and variation in size is not a defect but an inherent and unavoidable characteristic of how it is produced across the entire industry.
Your order was reviewed at director level, including delivery images from both this and previous deliveries, and we confirmed the logs were consistent with our standard production.
During your correspondence, we:
* Clearly explained the specification and how firewood is processed
* Confirmed the logs supplied were within specification
* Offered a return option
* Offered to hand-pick a crate on future orders to better match your preference
This was not a case of incorrect or misrepresented goods, but rather a difference in preference.
In practice, log size preferences vary significantly depending on stove type and usage. Customers with smaller stoves often require thinner logs, while others prefer larger pieces. For this reason, production is intentionally designed to deliver a balanced, usable range within specification, suitable for the vast majority of customers.
At our scale — delivering tens of thousands of orders annually — size-related feedback is extremely uncommon (approximately 0.3% of orders). Where it does arise, it is typically linked to individual preference rather than any issue with the product itself.
For clarity:
* Logs are sold by total volume, not by individual piece size
* A mix of sizes is standard and intentional
* Smaller logs do not reduce overall heat output or value when used correctly
* Many customers actively prefer a range of sizes for ease of lighting and control
We also want to address the suggestion that we are “unhelpful.” We believe the correspondence shows that our team responded clearly, professionally, and offered practical solutions within what is operationally possible.
We remain happy to accommodate specific preferences on future orders — customers can simply add a note at checkout and we will select a crate accordingly.

Excellent service
As always, ordering logs is very simple on line. Picking a delivery date is very helpful. I have been ordering logs from this company now since 2020. ( Having the log burner installed during the pandemic was one of the best things we ever did.) Each occasion the logs have been well packed and ready to burn. Updates regarding log availability and prices very useful.
