I cannot praise this company highly enough. While this is a longer review, I feel it truly reflects the outstanding experience we had with the team.
We had been considering flooring our loft for some time. After yet another Christmas of carefully balancing decorations and the tree on exposed beams, we decided it was time to get it sorted. I contacted The Loft Boarding Company after coming across them on Facebook, and within a day we had arranged for a surveyor, Kieran, to visit.
Kieran arrived exactly at the agreed time and kept us updated on his arrival beforehand, which we really appreciated. After taking measurements in the loft, he sat down with us to go through a fully itemised estimate. This level of detail was excellent, as it clearly outlined the cost breakdown for materials and work. We were so impressed by the professionalism and reasonable pricing that we decided to proceed immediately. Before leaving, Kieran ensured all documentation was emailed to us, including a short introductory video from the director, Michael, explaining the company’s services.
We were given a prompt installation date, although this unfortunately had to be rescheduled due to a minor measuring issue. The team handled this exceptionally well. The fitters were courteous and apologetic, and while issues can arise with any home project, it was the way this company managed the situation that stood out. Their commitment to customer service was clear. The matter was resolved quickly, including a follow-up visit from Kieran, a revised installation date, and even some additional work completed at no extra cost. This gesture of goodwill was genuinely impressive and not something we have experienced before.
The rearranged installation date was set for 1st April, which turned out to be quite eventful. That morning, we discovered a small flood coming from the loft—certainly not the kind of April Fool’s surprise we expected. I contacted Kieran in a panic while waiting for an emergency plumber. He was incredibly supportive and quickly coordinated with the fitters to rearrange their schedule, allowing us time to resolve the issue. Once again, their flexibility and understanding were greatly appreciated.
Shortly after the plumber finished, Craig, the electrician, arrived to install the loft light. He was friendly, courteous, and completed the work efficiently. He also kindly repositioned an existing light to improve visibility, which made a noticeable difference.
Not long after Craig left, the fitters, Grant and Corrie, arrived. From the moment we met them, we felt confident in their abilities. Grant took the time to explain the work involved, particularly as our older property presented some challenges. Despite this, their professionalism and attention to detail were evident throughout. It was clear they take great pride in their work, and the final result exceeded our expectations. We are absolutely delighted with the finished loft.
I would not hesitate to recommend this company. If you are considering having your loft floored, I hope this review provides reassurance that you will be in excellent hands. Getting a quote was easy, it was lower than other ones we had looked at too. Booking was easy, installation was easy and super fast, and the guys were really friendly. They took a lot of care around the house while they were bringing things in and out too which I really appreciated! The quality of our loft boarding is brilliant, there is SO much space; it has changed the way we use the rest of the house due to what we can store up there. There’s not really a bad word to say about the whole process.

We had Paul and Sean in to floor our attic and add a ladder. They turned up on time, did a superb job and could not have been nicer. I would highly recommend them.

They made everything so easy from initial quote which was very informative and they were able to show what the finished work would look like and can confirm was spot on. Tam and Callum completed the work very professionally and very happy with the boarding/shelving and new hatch and ladder. Now fully utilizing the space and have so much storage that we never knew we had!
