During a sad and difficult time it was a huge relief to know that we had found the right people at Lodge Brothers to guide and support our family.

After we met Hayley at Datchet late last year we were in regular contact until our dear father passed away in January.

Hayley and all the staff we spoke to were sensitive and understanding and helped us to make important decisions about the funeral with patience and great empathy.

The day itself was very special indeed and we will always be grateful for their invaluable contribution.

We placed our trust in Lodge Brothers and they looked after us, and our dear father, helping us say goodbye in our own personal way.

Hayley at Lodge brothers - Datchet provided a truly professional service with great advice in a caring way on which package to go forward to suit the needs of the family.
Hayley explained each step of the process and kept things on track throughout the whole timeline.
The day of the funeral, directed by James from Lodge who was very helpful with last minute advice, was dignified, calm and went off to perfection.

I was extremely happy with the service I received from everyone at Lodge Brothers. They made a very difficult and emotional situation easier to cope with. Everyone from the very first interaction right through to the funeral and afterwards was very understanding and supportive.

The service was brilliant from the start. I’d never had to organise a funeral before and received excellent support from the team. It all went perfectly on the day although I was quite nervous as I’d never had to take a lead role before.

We recently buried our Father and Lodge Brothers did an excellent job and made the whole process a lot less painful than it might have been. I would especially like to thank Kim but all the guys were really kind and helpful on the day.

The only suggestion I would make to improve the service would be to persuade the local churches to provide details as to how they prefer to conduct their funeral services, which could be passed on to clients as we struggled a bit with the order of service at the beginning.

Overall I would highly recommend Lodge Brothers for the professional and sensitive way they conducted my Fathers funeral.

Absolutely brilliant, professional, respectful, caring and patient. My brother Richard had the most dignified send off I could ever imagine, big thanks to Kim in the office, she was truly helpful, and a lovely person to take to, it was a bit complicated but sey handled it extremely well, thanks Kim.

Lodge Brothers had been recommended to me by a friend who is a vicar. I was very anxious about my appointment after the sudden and unexpected death of my husband. Kim immediately put me at ease and took me through the process in a kind and considerate way. She checked in with me a few times prior to the funeral and followed up on all of my queries. Kim also called me afterwards to make sure everything went according to plan.

One point I would like to make…my husband had to have post mortem. I was not aware of the affect this can have on the body. I was very shocked when I visited the Chapel of Rest and thought it was the wrong body. I wish I had been advised and therefore prepared for what I saw. Kim was very apologetic and did give other visitors a heads up.

Everybody we met Beth, Kim, Paul the Conducter and the recommended Celebrant Martin were perfect. Everything went as I would have wished and couldn't have asked for better. My only negative is that the donation page was not obvious or easy to navigate and a number of people failed to make it work.

This funeral was arranged under difficult circumstances but everyone at Lodge Brothers smoothed the way and made everything work in a courteous and respectful way. Everyone was thoughtful and efficient, highly recommended.

They were totally professional and supportive throughout the planning and the Funeral on the day. The sensitivity to my mobility was very much appreciated. The Man in charge on the day had rung prior to the event and explained the process as well as confirming arrangements and details. They were timely and discrete, very efficient with excellent customer service and respect for the occasion. The representative in the office was professional, supportive and offered advice without being intrusive. Kept in contact throughout and sensitive to needs. Everyone was warm and comforting without overstepping the professional boundaries.

Our Dad’s funeral and the preparations were carried out with great sensitivity. Staff were very helpful in guiding us through the practical arrangements, offering us plenty of options; liaised with Care Home, vicar, crematorium, florist. We were contacted the evening before the funeral to confirm arrangements when I realised that o had forgotten to order the coffin spray - that was sorted over night.
The Conductor was excellent - the little touch of preparing some flowers from the coffin spray was lovely.
In summary, a difficult day was made much less stressful by excellent service from the Lodge team.

Lodge Brothers Datchet organized my Mothers funeral in Covid condititons and they were so helpful, professional and made the whole process easy. A special mentin to Kim who made the whole process amazingly peaceful and dealt with everything on our behalf. I would just like to add a thank you to all the drivers and Jason who was the lead nothing but praise from all our family and friends who were allowed to go under Covid Rules. I was contacted by Kim Furnell at Datchet branch after my mother died.
Kim was very professional and respectful but also very kind and sympathetic in all her dealings with with me. She ensured that I sorted everything out and paid attention to all the details in a very calm manner.
On the day of the funeral the gentleman were also very courteous and attentive and ensured the service ran smoothly.
I would thoroughly recommend Lodge Brothers and in particular the Datchet branch.
