STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY!!
I’m very surprised to see 5 star reviews, these must be new customers who are all happy with their brand new vehicle and haven’t had to deal with the real lease plan yet. All of the one star reviews are the truth. This company has let so many people down and left so many people out of pocket. I had told lease plan about a change in my financial situation, and would not be able to keep up with payments anymore, therefore I informed them I would be selling the vehicle on their behalf, as this is what you have to do as the log book is still in their name until you have paid off the lease. They happily agreed to this and sent me a financial settle agreement a copy of the v5. I had a very reputable company EVANS HALSHAW purchasing this van from me. All of the documents were signed and the van was handed over to EVANS HALSHAW, along with a payment I had to make to them to make up the difference on the settlement figure. I took a loan out to cover the cost of this settlement figure, to pay some debt off and buy myself a cheaper car. Just consolidating all of my debt and trying to get myself into a better financial position so I can provide better for me and my child. All evans halshaw needed from lease plan was a pro forma invoice. For some reason lease plan just became completely unresponsive. I spent hours on the phone and on hold and when I did eventually get through to someone, they didn’t have a clue what was going on so I was just going round in circles for months. Eventually after back and forth disputes with evans halshaw I had to take the van back after some legal advice, I was advised that this is lease plans fault. With definitely no way to afford it now and after a few arguments with neighbours as I live on small street with hardly any parking for a couple of months. Lease plan decide to get back in contact with me and have re possessed the van which is absolutely fine by me, but now saying that I owe them the arrears nearly £5000 and sending debt collection agency’s to me. I have gave my statement to the citizens advice bureau who have now passed this information onto trading standards.

Slow communication at the end of a van lease. Confusing invoices. But all sorted out in the end.
Update; Contacted by LeasePlan to arrange refund of overpayment and end of lease information. All sorted now. Perhaps I was being a little impatient!

Worst lease company I have used they can’t sort out simple issues so I still have the car 2 weeks after it should have been returned , don’t know how much longer it will take but I know they will try and charge me and I can’t even drive it

Hidden charges beware and some incompetences
I have been charged for road tax that is nowhere in the contracts that I have. This is so annoying to keep sneaking up costs on people as this takes me above the budget I had for leasing my car. Also why are you taking money from account when i haven't set a direct debit for this road tax?
Additionally I had issues with the car and some warning lights were coming on. I contacted you and you said I didn't pay maintenance so wasnt covered. I needed to contact the manufacturer or VAT registered garage to help me at my expense. What I annoyed the most is they failed to explain that the vehicle was still under manufacturer's warranty so would be free to have it checked. Imagine if I had gone to a garage and actually wasted money.

Leaseplanned to perfection..!
Just had a new vehicle delivered by Leaseplan. Everything went perfectly. Delivered on time and delivery driver kept me up to date with arrival time anyway. Great service and as usual I know if I need any help Leaseplan are merely a phone call away.

Affy was incredibly helpful when i called LeasePlan UK this morning. I was calling for an update to my order i placed in June 2024. Affy was able to answer all my questions and went above and beyond by providing me with additional information on how to chase my order with the supplier. Great job.

TRULY ABYSMAL
I leased a car through AA Smart Lease however they only act as an agent . You sign a lease with Leasplan and have to deal with them throughout.I am surprised the AA "endorse" this company.
I have now settled an early termination invoice to rid myself from this shambolic organisation. Problems with servicing the car,problems with transferring number plates,problems with arranging an MOT,problems with contacting customer service, problems with various departments not knowing what each other are doing etc,etc The only thing Leaseplan did nearly right was to collect the car however even then the condition inspection was unreasonable to the extent that I could not sign and agree to it.If you want a stressful experience that wastes much of your time with e mails and phone calls sorting out problems created by bad management and bad customer service then Leaseplan is for you. If not I suggest you go elswhere.

Pointless Insurance
I had a crash in my LeasePlan car where I damaged the car and a wall. I pay an all in one monthly fee for the lease car and insurance. When I tried to claim I was advised I need to speak with NIG about the wall as they only deal with vehicle damage. After waiting a week and chasing NIG I was advised there is no valid insurance with them for my car. LeasePlan then advised the insurance was with AXA and to speak with them. AXA sent me back to LeasePlan who then advised they only insure the vehicle and to claim off home insurance and in turn sue LeasePlan. Total incompetence. Hopefully no one hits a person in one of their cars as apparently they only cover the vehicle!
Don't believe their responses either as no one has contacted me!

Please be careful of this company, yet another case of big firms being allowed to just operate with no Morals.
Firstly and maybe obvious if you have had lease cars before but note that even though your contract has an end date, you need to actually ask for them to collect the car. then also make sure that when your vehicle is collected you have asked for the collection with plenty of time, as they will tell you they cant collect it for your end of contract day, then charge you for the period following. when you politely explain that it was their delay you are given the generic answer of sorry we cant help.

Still Waiting .......
After posting a review on 28/05/24 , I received an email from the complaints team, offering their deepest apologies and explained I would be due payments from May 23 to current. On the 14th June I received payments from Oct 23 to present. I received an email stating a manual payment would be done for the payments before this date. It's been nearly 6 weeks and still no further payments. I have been in contact with the total loss team who have said its in the final stages , so why haven't I received the payment? I can work out on my calculator what I'm owed in 2 mins so how is it taking nearly 6 weeks????
This has been going on since April.
