I am leaving this review based on my own experience as a professional engaged to provide financial valuation work for one of this business's clients.

I completed the agreed financial valuation work approximately a year ago. The business had charged its client £2,000 for the engagement, and my agreed fee for the work I completed was £500. Despite completing the work, I have still not been paid the £500 owed to me.

Over the past year, I have followed up repeatedly regarding the outstanding payment and have been given various explanations for why it has not been paid. On one occasion, I was asked to remove my review before the outstanding £500 would be paid.

As of the date of this review, approximately one year after completing the work, the £500 remains unpaid.

I have documentation supporting the work undertaken, the agreed fee, communications regarding payment, and the subsequent discussions. I am posting this review to accurately record my experience of dealing with the business as a professional service provider.

This review reflects my personal experience and the payment issue remains unresolved.

Outstanding legal support for iGaming brand protection, structuring, and Anjouan licensing
We had an excellent experience working with LAWA LEGAL. Their team demonstrated a truly impressive level of expertise in iGaming, especially in brand protection, corporate structuring, and licensing support for Anjouan.
From the very beginning, LAWA LEGAL acted with professionalism, speed, and a deep understanding of the online gaming industry. They helped us clearly structure the project, identify the correct legal and regulatory steps, prepare the necessary documentation, and approach the licensing process in a practical and commercially efficient way.

Unfortunately, LAWA LEGAL LTD and its director did not fulfill their obligations over the course of an entire year.

A total of $5,505 USD was paid for company registration services, and all requested documents were provided, but the company was never registered.

Additionally, the director asked for temporary assistance with a currency exchange transaction. I sent him $5,200 USD, which he confirmed receiving, but the funds were never returned as promised.

In total, the unresolved amount is $10,705 USD.

I am currently consulting with a lawyer regarding possible legal action and recovery procedures related to this situation. Based on the overall circumstances, repeated delays, unfulfilled obligations, and unresolved payments, this situation now has clear signs of fraud from my perspective.

In my experience, he used his strong Upwork reputation to build trust, while moving communication and payments outside the platform, where there was no client protection.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend working with him.

Update, September 2026: I requested a full refund, and on 9 July 2026 the company confirmed in writing that it would refund the amount. As of today, nothing has been paid.
