Alle zorg bij je wegnemen en binnen 48 uur van bed naar bed regelen. Ze luisteren naar je dragen zaken goed over aan het einde van een dienst en komen hun afspraken na. Dat geeft zoveel rust in een toch al hectische periode.
Hartelijk dank EMS voor het terug laten brengen middels ambulance van mijn vrouw vanuit Kroatie (Pula) naar Nederland (Zwolle).

I am writing this review so that no other family goes through what mine did. My father was hospitalized in critical condition in Beijing China in April 2026 and we contacted EMS to arrange emergency air ambulance transport from China to India.
EMS were warm and responsive before payment. Upon their request I provided full medical records and photos clearly showing his external pacemaker and ventilator. They confirmed in writing on April 13th 2026 that my father was fit to fly. Their Booking Confirmation claimed crew and fleet were allocated but contained no aircraft details, no crew names, no flight path and no permits. We were naive and desperate, so we trusted them.
On April 14th and 15th 2026 I wired USD 120K from California to their US bank account. It took an unusually long 48 hours to confirm receipt, which was a red flag when I think about it now, but the entire time they reassured us they were ready to fly.
Within a few minutes of confirming full payment on April 17th, EMS reversed their assessment citing my father's external pacemaker, the very same condition in the records they reviewed before declaring him fit to fly. Nothing had changed. They called it an "evolving situation" with no medical justification. I gave them a legal warning to honor their initial assessment.
But despite their reversal, my mother proceeded with permanent pacemaker surgery at EMS's instruction on April 18th thinking that now EMS would honor their promise. But EMS did nothing but make excuses. That night EMS called me at midnight saying "management may not like" my legal warning. I begged for flight details in writing. They said "management would not like that answer". I broke down and told them to send to me in writing, that "they would rather let my father die in China than proceed unless I withdrew my statements". They hung up. My husband witnessed every word.
EMS never called the doctor post implantation and took no action in the 48 hours that followed. We had no choice but to book another air ambulance at enormous expense before visas expired on April 23rd.
On April 21st, a supervisor from EMS called and implied there may be additional charges beyond the all-inclusive contract due to "low pressure cabin" or something. I asked for everything in writing and also the reason for why reversal happened. No email came. Instead EMS's Operations Manager blamed my family for a "reckless decision" of transporting my father with the external pacemaker, when they themselves declared him fit to fly with that external pacemaker before we paid anything.
On June 8th, EMS refused to refund USD 120K claiming I cancelled. But I never cancelled. I requested a refund after they failed to perform. When I sought legal help, multiple attorneys advised that pursuing civil recovery would be extremely difficult given the company's asset structure and the Dubai arbitration clause in the contract. Before payment they were warm and responsive. After payment they failed to perform and refused to refund. I tried to do wire recall but banks found only USD 2,476 remaining in their US account as of May 5 2026, making recovery virtually impossible. I took a loan of USD 100K to pay EMS. My family took another loan for the alternative air ambulance.

Formal complaints have already been filed with 16 agencies across five countries. The more victims who come forward the stronger the case becomes.
Based on my experience I would caution anyone searching for air ambulance services, medical repatriation or emergency patient transport to research EMS Air Ambulance thoroughly before making any payment.
My father is safely home in India now and getting treated. But the financial and emotional damage that EMS caused my family makes me believe that humanity has just died.

I broke my leg at a French campsite, and after five days, EMS repatriated me to the Netherlands. The driver and nurse brought me safely home by ambulance. They were both super nice. I can wholeheartedly recommend EMS.

We zijn zeer tevreden over EMS. Mijn moeder is opgehaald in Zuid-Spanje en na een goed verzorgde rit van 25 uur waarbij er continu een verpleegster naast mijn moeder zat is ze in Nederland naar het ziekenhuis gebracht.

My initial review was based upon end-to-end service which was wonderful. I was in severe pain from an accident in Greece and they got me home to the U.S. for surgery.

However.... I subsequently found out they did not do the transfer. Apparently they subcontracted to someone else and didn't inform me. Most importantly my wife was supposed to accompany me on the flight but they said "no" at the last minute. I had to scramble to get my wife a commercial flight at the last minute while I'm still in the hospital in Greece. The stress and uncertainly was almost unbearable.

Very good communication from start to finish. The team were very friendly, professional and caring and the cost was very reasonable considering other quotes we had received. Would have no hesitation in recommending them.

FRAUD - this is the worst kind of fraud, taking advantage of people in desperate situations without the time to properly check legitimacy.

We had a critically injured 10 year old in remote Indonesia, we needed medical evacuation ASAP. They promised a plane, we waited on this plane having sent a huge sum of money to them... The plane never came, even after they confirmed receipt of funds. We ended up having to arrange a helicopter medivac with another company a day later as our daughters life wasn't worth waiting any longer. I would never want someone else to experience this lack of consideration for the urgency of the situation.

Its now been 40+ days and still no refund. There is noone in the company you can discuss your problem with, who has any ability to action a refund. They just say its with 'compliance'. Police need to get involved, and those who run this company should be held accountable for scamming and playing with peoples lives.

The google reviews on their website are all fake, there is nowhere to actually submit a google review.

Please be warned and dont let this happen to you.

Horrific experience. EMS doesn’t actually have any planes or helicopters. They’re an external broker. Unfortunately for me, I was never advised this when booking. They promised me a plane the next day to recover my daughter in a life threatening emergency. They requested funds to be transferred immediately. I paid $98,500 for a next day evacuation. Called the next morning to check on plane status… only to be told the finance team is in London and won’t be online until 5pm my time. Meaning my daughter was never able to be collected by the promised timeline to start with.
Whilst my 10 year old daughter suffered for 48hours I had to find an actual medivac service with their own helicopter and they rescued my daughter. I then requested a refund from EMS. It’s been nearly 40 days since the request and they keep bumping me around what seems like fake departments. So gutted to have ever engaged these guys.

All the arrangements are carried out by EMS including speaking to the appropriate hospitals. The first date for therepatriation was not kept so it had to be arranged the following day which meant the hospital discharged her a day before she needed to be. Luckily she was OK & stayed in the hotel where her husband had been staying. Apart from that everything went according to plan. She was checked at the receiving hospital then discharged home.

Their communication their precision to detail and their constant attention during the difficult times they waited and when it was time to show up they did it seamlessly.

I had a very concerning experience with EMS Air Ambulance & Medical Repatriation Ltd.

We were arranging urgent air ambulance transport from Houston, Texas to Chennai, India. EMS initially issued an invoice for USD 196,000, and we initiated payment based on their communications and the understanding that the transport could proceed once payment/proof of payment was handled. After the payment process was underway, the position changed, and we were told funds had to be fully received before any next step could proceed.

After EMS later confirmed receipt of funds, they did not proceed on the originally quoted basis. Instead, they issued a revised quotation for USD 378,000, which was almost double the original amount. We did not accept that revised quotation.

We formally disputed the matter and requested a refund or a written explanation with supporting records showing the contractual and factual basis for retaining any amount. We also requested copies of any booking confirmation, acceptance record, cancellation-fee basis, and itemized costs. EMS has since gone silent and has not provided a substantive response or resolution.

Given the lack of response, we are now pursuing legal options to recover the funds.

Our family got in touch with EMS because we needed to transport a sick family member back to Germany. EMS pretended to find a suitable hospital place and was not able to do that which is fine because in Germany this is a difficult task - especially in the field of psychiatry. So the project was called of and the service was not delivered. That was not a problem for us. But then the trouble began. We paid €7.500,- for the service and €3.000,- for flight tickets for the transportation (which didn't take place). Since 5 weeks we try to get in touch with EMS to resolve the situation. We wrote many Emails - but EMS just doesn't answer. They totally disappered and hide. They keep all the money - even the money for the flights that have not been used. We have the feeling that EMS is a scam and fraud and only there to rip off desperate people that need to solve a medical emergency situation. It is extremly disappointing and heart breaking to see something like that happen. Please be aware!! Because they are located in the UK it is very difficult to get a hold of them and unfortunately EMS is not willing to cooperate at all. It's an undignified shame that a company is able to behave this way.

We transferred a large amount of money to EMS Air Ambulance & Medical Repatriation Ltd. for medical transport services. After receiving the funds, the company made further unexpected demands for additional payment, including claiming that a second medical staff member was required, even though the original arrangement was for only one medical staff member.

They also referred to airline tickets, yet no proper documentary proof of any ticket purchase was provided, despite requests for booking confirmation, ticket numbers, payment proof, and fare conditions.

When asked to justify the additional charges and clarify the use of the funds, the company did not properly address the key issues. Instead of giving clear evidence and a straightforward refund process, they responded with legal threats and accusations of defamation.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. I strongly advise others to deal only with providers whose arrangements, medical requirements, and travel bookings can be independently verified, and, where possible, to work directly with established companies through clear and documented channels rather than relying solely on remote assurances.

If the refund is made and this matter is resolved properly, I will review and reconsider this review.

De bereikbaarheid, communiciatie, kunidgheid en behulpzaamheid van de medewerkers, zowel aan de telefoon als de begeleiders ter plaatse was perfect.

My mother had to be repatriated from hospital in south of Spain to the Netherlands. EMS has been in constant contact with me about her medical situation and at which moment the transfer would be possible. EMS has been so very dedicated in this repatriation. It was a relief for us that we could rely on their experience and fantastic medical and logistics team.

In our case, a medical repatriation from Spain to Austria was necessary, and I can only say that I am incredibly grateful for the excellent and fast support from EMS. After requesting a quote, we received an offer very quickly, and they also contacted us by phone right away to clarify the details.

The overall process was very efficient. The only delay was due to the airline, as their approval took a few days (in our case, it was a medical repatriation via a commercial flight with a medical escort). During this delay, I would have appreciated more frequent updates, but that is the only point I could criticize.

Communication was always very good, both in German and English, and all my questions were answered quickly and reliably.

The doctor who accompanied my sister on the return flight to Austria was incredibly kind, and we were kept informed throughout the entire day of the transfer about what was happening and how they were doing. Once in Vienna, the doctor also had a discussion with the responsible physician on site and then updated us on everything that had been discussed.

I never thought I would find myself in a situation where we would need to arrange a private medical repatriation, but EMS truly supported our whole family through this very difficult time. I can wholeheartedly recommend this company!

Working with EMS was difficult from a financial perspective. They required full payment up front, but they didn't accept credit cards. We had to wire them the money. Not everyone can do this. Even then, they told us the wired funds hadn't cleared and we would have to wait an additional day hoping they would clear. This was extremely inconvenient. We contacted a competitor of theirs who would actually put a hold on credit cards and give us five days after the transport to arrange final payment method with them. If EMS had handled money this way, I would have given them a 5.
