Place was very nice, clean, and convenient. They knew we were bringing our dogs and provided bowls, towels, and a blanket for them.

Extremely comfortable bed.
Nice location. Cabin was clean and comfortable. The bed we slept in was very comfortable. Gas fireplace was nice when the weather got colder.
It’s a two story with both bed rooms and the bathroom downstairs. The Wall mounted HVAC is kind of loud and constant downstairs.
That being said. We would still return and stay there.

We're happy to hear you enjoyed your stay and found the cabin clean and comfortable. The mini-splits can be adjusted for fan speed, etc. We were not aware of the downstairs unit operating loudly and will certainly look into it. We hope to have you as our guests again.
Thoughts on brookside cabin
Thoughts on brookside cabin. The design of cabin was not practical. A bath for handicapped was downstairs but no bed for them downstairs except an uncomfortable couch hide-a-bed. The stairs were dangerous for people coming down at night and no bath was upstairs.

We didn't hear from you during your stay and wish you would have contacted us. Several options were available to make your stay more comfortable. A 3-inch plush memory foam topper cushion is provided in the cabin for use on the sleeper sofa. If that didn't work for you, we would have been happy to move you to another cabin. The cabin description and pictures accurately describe the layout, and we would have been happy to answer any questions.
amazing time during our stay
We had an amazing time during our stay. Cabin was perfect size for my wife and I (and dog). Super peaceful. Great access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Asheville. Had dinner at the Twisted Laurel in Weaverville first night (amazing French Dip Special!) and lunch the next day at Carmel’s in Asheville (great burger and awesome brownie ala mode dessert). The hot tub was an added bonus! Definitely will be back.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the cabin. The land you're referring to is not owned by us and is on the other side of the creek. This land was previously obscured by trees and vegetation which was destroyed last year during the hurricane. We hope to have a solution soon. We do have four additional cabins onsite with wooded views. We hope to have you stay with us again in one of them.

We enjoyed our stay at Elk Lodge very much. It was just what we needed to have a relaxing vacay from the upstairs porch and the fireplace it is very “homey”. I also loved our we were “in the woods” but so close to Weaverville and Asheville. I would definitely recommend your property to others.

Very private, comfortable. More than we needed, as we just slept and showered. Would highly recommend. Shower soap dispenser does not work.

Cabin, perfect location and amenities.
Our cabin was perfect.
We had the seclusion we were looking for, while still close to stores and activities. The cabin was everything we needed….including the hot tub. It was clean and added to the experience. Having DirectTV and HBO was great so our teenage kids could be entertained while we could enjoy the hot tub or the front balcony. We even saw a black bear our front from our balcony. The kitchen had what we needed including KCup coffee maker and a French press.
I would definitely stay here again.

Nice cabin
Nicely appointed cabin. Clean upon arrival. Easy access from highway while still being isolated.
Could have supplied more paper products for kitchen & bathroom.
Consider some type of "caution" signage upstairs right before the staircase. Having to remember that the floor was on two levels before the staircase was an inconvenience, especially when having to use the restroom at night, which is downstairs.

There are several lights to guide the way down to the bathroom at night which we will check to be sure all are working as they should. Should you return to stay with us, we do have other cabins available.

Great little cabins!
Had a great time! Cabin was very clean and comfy and exactly as pictured online. The location is very quiet and relaxing. It is a short drive into Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Laurel Mountain Retreat is a two level cottage wonderful view with beautiful gardens and Mountain View’s. Kitchen/ dining room living room/ jacuzzi/ back porch/ front porch/ washer and dryer/ heater and air conditioner so just lovely. We sincerely enjoyed the July 4th fireworks/ lake junaluska/ and touring Tennessee Restaurants were delicious
