Terrible customer service for damaged/not as described items

I ordered 4 light fittings and prepared my wall ready to fit them after redecoration. I discovered 1 of the fittings was damaged and one was completely different. I have called customer services multiple times over 5 months to try first to get replacements and then a refund. Each time, they lied to me, saying they would action the replacement/refund later that day. They never did. In the end, I had to try to get a refund though my credit card, I’m left with a wall that needs redecorating again (at cost) and many wasted hours on hold.

Absolutely abysmal

Shame I couldn’t have scored this company no stars! Awful, poor quality, product which arrived with scratches and a chip in the paper thin wood surround. Called the company within 5 minutes of opening the box to arrange a return and the customer service was then absolutely appalling with the employee stating their company policy superceded UK distance selling regulations. We are being refunded by PayPal thank goodness as I wouldn’t want to speak to this company again - woeful!!

I placed an order for four light fittings and decided to return two. I sent both back via Parcelforce and have proof of delivery for both lights.

They have only refunded one. They accept they received the other in their warehouse but it has been lost by their warehouse and because of that, they won’t give me a refund. The value of this light fitting is over £250.

My many emails have been ignored and the manager refuses to call me back. In all my years of online shopping (and I do a lot!), I have never experienced a retailer who admits they have the parcel but won’t process the refund because they don’t know what they did with it. Poor service and very questionable business practices. I wish I read the other reviews here before I ordered from them, especially the one about their appearance on Rip Off Britain.

I will have to take this further as they have essentially kept £250 from me. Save your sanity and order from elsewhere.

Edit - Lancashire Lighting tried to have this removed claiming it is harmful or illegal. As my review is factual and truthful, it has been kept up.

Second edit - the response by Lancashire Lighting is false. The Goods Return Note had the correct description and code - I still have a copy of it. In one of my many emails that were ignored, I provided a copy of the Goods Return Note so they knew exactly what I had returned. It is no doubt more than a coincidence that 12 hours after I posted this review, which they tried to have removed, they processed my refund. I would strongly suggest that everyone avoids this company.

Lovely quality

Lovely quality. Even better than I expected. Arrived very quickly and very well packaged. Haven’t put them
Up yet as room isn’t ready but I can’t wait to see how they look. We have purchased them as bedside reading lights. Very happy with our choice and would highly recommend purchasing from Lancashire lights.

Quick, easy, would recommend

We ordered an external lantern to match our existing ones. The website was simple to use, it came promptly and was well packaged and undamaged. Just need to put it up now!

Placed order on a Sunday

Placed order on a Sunday, said will be delivered in 2-3 working days! It’s now Thursday and I’ve not had a link to track the order, let alone receive the order! Tried to ring, cannot get through! A shambles! Will take to court if I don’t get the money back!
