We were very impressed with the…

We were very impressed with the communication between this company and ourselves. We requested gluten free products if possible and they went out of their way to source these and provide them in our gift basket. My son and his partner really enjoyed the wine and other goodies! Would recommend to anyone and will definitely order from them again.

Sent The Wrong Gift Basket - Still Charged Full Price

I placed an order for a specific gift basket and received confirmation that payment was successful. However, the basket delivered to my recipient was entirely different from what I had ordered.

When I contacted customer support, I was told that in the fine print, the company reserves the right to substitute items at their discretion if something is out of stock—as long as it’s of equal or greater value.

Unfortunately, the replacement was clearly not of equal value, and I was never notified of any changes or offered the chance to cancel or adjust my order. The support rep repeatedly referenced the fine print and offered no resolution. Had I known this could happen, I would have gone with another company.

Buyer beware as this was a disappointing experience.

Disappointed with Mother’s Day Delivery

I ordered flowers from LA Baskets for Mother’s Day and clearly specified delivery between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM on May 11th. The flowers didn’t arrive until the next day, completely missing the occasion. We waited all day—until 9:00 PM—hoping they would show up, which disrupted our plans and ruined what was supposed to be a special day for our mother.

I tried calling customer service multiple times with no luck, and I also sent an email—but I’ve received no response at all. The lack of communication only added to the frustration.

I’ve requested a full refund, which I believe is more than fair given the circumstances. This was supposed to be a thoughtful gesture, and instead it turned into a huge disappointment. I expected far better service, especially on an important holiday like Mother’s Day.

Paid for upgrade received a downgrade - no refund

I ordered an upgraded tequila in a basket and when it was delivered it had been substituted with a less expensive brand. I reached out to customer service to request a refund of the difference. You can read their response below - it is their practice and I guess written in an agreement that they are not responsible for substituting and that upon purchase you agree to accept whatever is delivered. Buyer be warned. I just don’t want anyone else disappointed- I bought a $300 basket including the upgrade - this is a really poor business practice. Email response from LABaskets below.

However, as per our substitution policy stipulated in our terms and conditions, at times substitutions may be necessary to fulfill orders in a timely manner, especially in the event that an order is time-sensitive and intended for a special occasion.

Substitutions are actually quite common within the gifting and gift basket industry, as products are constantly changing on an ongoing basis after product details and photos have been published. Some items may be temporarily unavailable due to various reasons beyond our immediate control, under which circumstances we reserve the right to substitute such items with similar products of equal or greater value to ensure that orders are delivered in a timely manner without incurring further delays. Degrees of substitution may vary. In some rare instances, the entire contents of an order may be substituted.

Due to the high volume of orders being processed, we are not always able to contact customers ahead to advise them of substitutions. By placing an order you accepted our terms and conditions, and thus agreed that the order may consist of products that differ from the original product description. Furthermore, you agreed that you are not entitled to refunds or compensation under such circumstances, as per our refund policies: "NOT AS DESCRIBED & SUBSTITUTIONS - Where a package is 'not as described on our website' and/or we have substituted item(s) in a gift/gift basket that are in compliance with our 'substitution policy'.

The basket arrived with a broken jar of…

The basket arrived with a broken jar of olive spread that was all over the entire contents of the basket. It was obviously a gift and the recipient had to clean the whole thing. For a $170 basket, all they were willing to do was refund the cost of the $9 jar of olive spread.

Awful products and overpriced too

If I could leave fewer stars, I would. These baskets are awful. None of the products in the image I chose were sent. Reason they gave was 'substitution'....what for EVERY item? Cheap chocolate which was clearly out of date, but which they said was a 'bloom'! Cheese spread rather than actual cheese. No crackers. Hummus which was spilling out of the jar. Absolutely awful products and company. Overpriced too.

I should have read all these other…

I should have read all these other reviews before I bought a birthday gift basket. Everything everyone else said happened to me. No greeting card included. None of the original products were included. Instead of gourmet chocolate was replaced with a fricking 3 Musketeer’s bar. Do not ever use this place. They are a rip off and I wasted $150.

Stay away from LA Baskets

I wish I have read all the reviews before ordering a gift basket for my husband on Fathers Day. Every single item in that box was not what I ordered. I paid more to upgrade the basic basket and they sent whatever they wanted... I don't think they even take the time to read their customers orders or comments.
Don't waste your time and money. Customer service is awful. First they asked me to send pictures of the wrong items, and the whole box, which I did for NOTHING! Next email was explaining that I agreed that there could be changes and they are not going to give any refund.

The absolute worst

The absolute worst. Literally every single thing in my $300 basket was not accurate. THE NOTE WASN'T EVEN INCLUDED. The most basic and most important element of a gift basket. Their responses to my carefully crafted emails gentling requesting a refund, were rude and immediately shutting me down. Their policy allows them to send whatever they want. Total BS. They totally f their customers and do not care one bit about it.

CROOKS

CROOKS. They will take your money and NOT deliver what you order and expect. Either there will be no delivery or it will be so bad you will be embarrassed to have sent it as a gift.
Nice website, that in no way represents what they really do.

I ordered a gift basket for a patient

I ordered a gift basket for a patient. I never received a confirmation for the order yet my credit card was charged. The basket was never delivered. I contacted the company and they kept reassuring me it was. They gave me a tracking # and said to contact tracking company - not their issue anymore. 2 days later still no basket. The tracking company said it would take a couple of days to research. Reviewed hospital surveillance cameras for the period of time it was supposed to be delivered showed nothing had been delivered in the stated time frame. It would seem to me this company should go after the tracking company on my behalf.

Very bad product. they send you whatever they have in stock, completely different to what you ordered, and what it looks on the website. Customer Service extremely poor and rude. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

Birthday gift

according to their website I bought a birthday present to be deliver in their time table: cake, flowers, wine and fruit basket. i'f I place my order before 2 pm PST it will be deliver on time. I contact them earlier this morning and they confirm it will be deliver on today. I spend so much time in phone calls and emails and the response is the same I will not get refund as the currier is delay is not their fault. I demand my refund it's a scam company and won't buy again

The Entire Contents of my Order was Substituted

I ordered expensive champagne and red wine with specialist cheese from the UK for the LA area, costing a few hundred dollars. It was delivered within a few short hours. However instead of the original items, the basket contained sparkling, a bottle of ordinary, flavoured cheese and full of crackers. When I wrote to them, they replied, " as per our substitution policy stipulated in our terms and conditions, at times substitutions may be necessary to fulfill orders in a timely manner, especially in the event that an order is time-sensitive and intended for a special occasion.

SCAM

SCAM
What a SCAM, I ordered the Pasta Lover's Wine Gift Basket and received a broken wood board, wine I did not order that was probably bought at a gas station, the vinegar and olive oil were purchased at Walmart as well as the pasta and cheese.
Their customer service is trash also as they can only refund what was broken or missing.
Hope LA Baskets goes bankrupt soon.

SCAMMERS

Like everyone else on here, I was also scammed. They sent me gift baskets containing products that you can buy at a gas station. I had to go through my credit card company to dispute the charges because they responded that they would no longer be communicating with me. For example, the basket that I ordered was supposed to contain Brie cheese and instead the only cheese I received in the basket was Kraft grated parmesan cheese (what you put on spaghetti).

Late delivery of products I didn't order

The delivery was late and did not include several upgrades that we paid for - including a more expensive bottle of wine and cheeses. When I asked for a refund given cheaper products were delivered, the customer service insisted that by purchasing their basket I agreed that substitutions can be made without refunds. Will not be ordering from them again.

Giving them a 1star b/c no option for…

Giving them a 1star b/c no option for 0. Sent family in our LA a gourmet rustic Italian $200 worth basket and not only was basket received late, there was nothing gourmet or Italian about it. Bunch of rip off, scammers. I hope their business rots like their crappy baskets. How sad they benefit from lying.
