So I went through all the below and now 6 months later they are harassing me over the satellite and modem. Nasty fraudulent company. I really hope someone sues them and they go bust.

This experience was a NIGHTMARE. Konnect isn’t the future it’s very much a company of the past!
I'm sure many of us have been here, dealing with customer service through mobiles, wifi, tv companies but I really believe Konnect is bottom of the list based on my experience.
Konnect is a call center with little technical knowledge and your usual screen reading but deeply unreliable and dishonest (many phone calls promising a callback and never heard from again so had to start from the beginning every time, notes weren't recorded, etc.) Also when you call up they can't connect you to who you've been speaking too so you're constantly going round and round and round and round in circles. They also can’t put you through to management so again you have to start from scratch. They use Sat Works, a separate company to do all their technical side and Sat Works is equally unreliable.
I live in a rural setting so fell prey to this company. It took 64 days for me to get connected to wifi. That's over 2 months compared to a standard two-week wait with most standard wifi providers. I'm now with Vodafone which took a little over 24 hours from payment to connection though I know not everyone could get this option. Wish I’d known beforehand.
So, you pay £50 to subscribe and then they call up a separate company, Sat Works, to then organise an engineer to drive out and install a very big and dated satellite which is drilled into your wall. Also, the router is from the ’90s? Like those brick mobile phones. I’m sure many don’t care for the aesthetics of the router but wow this is not a pleasant one. Big chunky mains adapter with additional brick. I didn’t think much of it at first because of the whole ‘satellite’ thing but wow, not good. Konnect is just a call center. Everything else is outsourced and sadly they’ve not managed to match it all together very well.
When I was eventually connected, only 3 hours later the connection cut out. I then called SO MANY times to organise the engineer to come back and it took them a month to organise that. I tried through Konnect who kept telling me they had made a request but nothing was happening. They also don’t tell you the names of the companies they use so you can’t chase them. Turned out, Konnect hadn’t contacted them so I managed to find Sat Works and chased them myself. Basically did Konnect's job for them.
So, two months in, when I was finally connected, I gave it 3 days but in those 3 days I kept having to switch back to my phone data because It was just so slow but I kept trying because I couldn’t believe how much I’d just been through for this company and connection to be such poor quality. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t happening.
Twice, within my cooling off period, I contacted them and they tried to charge me for early cancellation and pay for a year's contract. I was so determined to not let that happen after this experience so I sent 50 emails. Cut and pasted. 10 a day until they bloody well listened! Eventually, after ME calling THEM, I was advised that they were going to waiver the fees.
I’m writing this review 12 weeks after subscribing and making a payment of £50. I’m told I should receive my refund within the next 20 days - do you think they’ll do that?

Last resort!
I live in Leitrim, Ireland and the house has little mobile coverage and no broadband connections, so Konnect was my only option. Am on the €99pm package with 200GB/75mbps. Sadly, the latency is huge so even if you have 75mbps, everything takes ages to load. In the evening, the speed is regularly down to 15mbps but even on full speed, video calls are pixilated and vocals delayed. Its also very unreliable. Once you go over your data allowance (and you will as 200 really just covers two computers and a couple of phones with occasional video calls pm, and no digital TV), then it will go down to 8mbps until you get to the end of your contract month. If the weather is bad, then speeds will be slower. The dish is huge too! Good customer service though but their website is a bit optimistic about what can be achieved with their equipment! Better than nothing but I have to go to a friends for video calls and large computer updates.

Deserves Zero Stars
Unfortunately the Internet provider we had previous to Konnect had to decommission their site & we had to sign up to Konnect. Living in rural Offaly, we have limited options. Firstly, the dish is a complete eye sore on the house. The Internet itself is truly the worst we've experienced. Service throttled within the first week of the month. Usage limits on portal very high only a few days into the month which is very hard to believe & makes me wonder if usage is being tampered with so that it excuses the low speeds & service drop outs. Not reliable if you need to use zoom, watch netflix or download anything. It can take hours to watch a movie on netflix with the continuous dropouts. Customer service useless & only further frustrates you. No follow up calls. Told if I want to use zoom for college lectures, nothing else in the house can be connected to the Internet!!! Absolute joke. Cannot wait to get rid of it.

Konnect: Satellite Broadband
This French company, based in Bicester, offered excellent advice and explanation of satellite broadband. We going to trial the equipment in our rural location as we have poor reception from other providers. Competitive rates although I think streaming (Netflix) will use data and be restrictive.

Great Help With a Long-running Slow Modem-Internet Issue
I am based in Portugal and have had a long-running issue with my Konnect modem taking over 45 seconds to link to the internet. My devices - one laptop and a tablet (so its not overloaded) link to the modem just fine but it can take 45 seconds plus to get an internet connection from the modem by which time some websites have given up and Windows / Browser reports a 404 error. I have raised this within the Portugal Tech support a number of times with a rapid response but without much success. In despair I contacted UK Customer Support and Jessie was an absolute star (five actually) and she got in touch with some Tech People who suggested a quick fix to try and things are now much improved. To be fair to the Portugal Tech folk that same night the Konnect network was being shut down for "maintenance" - that might have had some impact but, still, very good support from Jessie Many thanks!

Truly awful and very expensive
We’ve been on konnect for a few months now and after an ok start it’s now awful. We are going to cancel it. The latency is so bad that it will not support a voice call never mind a video call. If it rains it goes haywire. We are running BT as a back up (so paying for both services) so we can do voice calls over Wi-fi on BT (no mobile signal where we live as we are in a dip). Between the two companies I honestly wonder what they are thinking - I’m not even in a particularly remote place - just the fringes of a village with super fast but we cannot get a good connection from either. It makes me pretty mad to see the more central places climbing to 100mb plus and I can’t get 5mb from BT and 80mb from Konnect on a good day with ridiculous latency and the service dropping out every 5 minutes. I’ve got a truly ugly dish on my house and the konnect data limits are set so low we are paying £99 now for 200gb (which is not as much data as you think if you have sky etc) then our service gets throttled to inconsistent 3mb two weeks into the month. My husband signed this contract and didn’t realise the data limits are so bad.

So far so good!
I dealt with a lovely lady called Elisabete who was very helpful in guiding me through the pros and cons of Satellite Broadband.
I live in a very rural location with no chance of 'fibre' so needed to look to alternatives as my current broadband provider was not delivering a stable enough service via the wired approach for my needs.
I am hoping Konnect can resolve my issues by providing a stable and faster broadband into my home. Fingers crossed this is successful!
My impressions of the company to date have been very positive and professional................let's see if they can deliver!

There was a problem with our invoice…
There was a problem with our invoice and our payment had been processed but the payments department had not recognised it and so had cut us off. I phoned and spoke to Evie and she was extremely friendly and helpful. She was also extremely quick and efficient and reconnected us in a matter of minutes.
