I was very pleased with the course I took from Knowadays. It was extremely thorough and full of highly useful information. I've taken courses in the past (from other companies) that left me feeling unprepared and low on confidence. The Becoming a Proofreader course left me feeling confident and equipped. Good start for proofreading beginners
The BAP series was really helpful to refresh my grammar education and teach me how to edit to Proofed.com's way of working. With experience, and possibly with the addition of the Becoming and Editor series, one can gain all they need to be a well-rounded editor. This program will get you what you need to be a Proofreader...but there's no match for experience.

Thorough learning content, very supportive tutors
The course was very thorough, with plenty of end-of-module quizzes and practice tests, and the tutors were very friendly and supportive. I much enjoyed completing Becoming A Proofreader and have gained lots of in-depth knowledge and skills. I would definitely recommend Knowadays for those looking to start a career in proofreading or editing.

The course was very thorough and well-organized. The additional resources available are extensive. There was always a tutor available to answer questions. The testing was tough, but fair. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get in on the ground level of a proofreading career.

Comprehensive Course
The course taught me everything I needed to know to become a professional proofreader. It dramatically improved my knowledge of Microsoft Word, and refreshed my grammar skills. Everything about the course seemed designed to help learners to succeed; I particularly enjoyed Simon’s videos and my friendly conversations with two of the tutors. Recommended.

Thorough and very useful course
The course was really thorough and taught me a lot. I would have given it five stars, but the minus one is for the promise of work if you score over 80% on the test. It’s not a lie - you do get signed up with their sister company and you do get work, but the lack of available work is a problem. It gets frustrating checking the system over and over to see if tasks have come in. There just isn’t enough work available for the ‘guaranteed job’ promise to be a valid reason for signing up for this course.

Great course, but it has “holes.” Having the availability of the…
Having the availability of the proofreading tutors at my fingertips helped me the most. I feel that some areas of grammar could have received more attention with instruction and explanation. I wished there was more opportunity for targeted practice on various skills. I could have benefited from that. I had several questions about proofreading when I started and it helped to answer those but when the course was over it left me with new ones.
