I am retired and have done a lot of proofreading and editing in recent years. I have been shocked at the different info needed and especially the current number system that is a bit confusing with things being so different than I remember. So yes I need the course and have been working on it slowly.

It took me a little longer to complete the course than I had expected because of time constraints, but I'm very glad to finally complete the coarse. I learned many things from the training and feel more confidant to do proofreading work. The coarse is thorough with opportunities to do proofreading work on worksheets inside the coarse. Student support was also great and I recommend this coarse to anyone who likes to do editing work.

I appreciated the ability to pace myself in the course and the support available in our Facebook group for students. All the moderators were friendly, professional and patient.

Thank you for offering this course, which gives people the opportunity to learn how to build a business doing what they have always had a knack for and love to do. When I enrolled in the general proofreading course, I was overwhelmed with promotional emails. Several daily emails that offered the next step courses for fees ranging from $97 to $348.95. I am just now finding time to pick through over 330 emails for pertinent information that ACTUALLY applies to the course that I paid way too much for. I did have to ask them to stop with the promotional emails until I had a chance to pick through them. The "instructive" emails that I have finally come across are rather trite. Lots of links to blog posts. Lists of suggested books for reading. I haven't even found information to know if this course in particular comes with an accredited certificate. I am feeling super buyer's remorse.

The course is very easy to follow, so working through it alone was very easy!

I enjoyed taking the General Proofreading: Theory and Practice course. I loved that I could learn at my own pace. The course is thorough, and I was reminded of grammar rules I had long forgotten. I've always loved to write and have often been asked to take on writing tasks in my various jobs. This course was a nice addition to my toolkit. The staff was very supportive and always available. I am looking to supplement my income with an old love (and a new career!) in writing.

The online modules were very informative and easy to follow. The information provided was beneficial in so many ways.

Make no mistake: General Proofreading is one rigorous course. I thought I knew all the grammatical ins and outs, but I was introduced to new and useful information here. Taking this course was time well spent!

There is a lot of computer language that am not very familiar with, given that I am not that proficient in computing. There are also lots of twists and turns that make the course interesting. What I have learnt is to expect surprises in the next quizzes and tests.

I find the course to be comprehensive and very instructive. While I haven't completely finished yet, I look forward to using my new skills to supplement my Social Security income. I highly recommend this course to anyone willing to put in the time and effort.

While the information is beneficial the number of emails sent daily is outrageous! Getting 2-3 emails per day is way too much and really was discouraging me from continuing on. I almost stopped because I don't want to receive anymore emails.
Also, with the general proofreading course test it was frustrating. I reviewed and followed the feedback only to learn it's not accurate information but only 'general' feedback. Quite disappointing to say the least, however I'm still working on finding my niche!

They’re supportive through the process. It took me a few years to get through the program due to my own roadblocks, but when I came back to it, I picked up right where I left off.
