Sold car through Motorway to Kent Car Centre
Dan turned up to check the car. Explained there would be 10 minutes of static tests and 5 min test drive and invited us to watch and accompany him on the test drive. Knocked the price down slightly but it was genuine fault which he explained and which we agreed. The payment was in the bank quickly and the car was collected three days later.

Again as others have stated, car was sold on auction on motorway for a reserve of £5600 and accepted the low offer of £5329 then told £4000 on day of collection. After making me wait 2 weeks..

As expected Alex came to look at the car, all a bit rushed, he was plugging in his tester into my OBD port, checking the engine, jumped into the car and drove off before i could get in the car with him, i did advise him about the ULEZ cameras and where to drive prior to him taking off so if i get a fine i expect to be reimbursed.
As per the reviews on Trustpilot he went sat in his car came out and then told me i had a couple fault codes on the car, unfortunately for him one of the fault codes he stated was repaired 2 months ago and tested yesterday and no codes were on the vehicle. i have the video to prove it. Plus the work was done at a garage. the one he mentioned was a DPF fault. The DPF filter was replaced and the car had been re genned as stated 2 months ago so definitely there isn't any issues on that. he was fabricating the issues to get me to take £4000! exactly as stated on Trustpilot. he then asked me what i would take and i said nothing less than what the bid was, he then left.
an absolute waste of time. made me wait 2 weeks and he had NO intentions of offering me the bid price. He couldn't find anything wrong with my vehicle.
i have wasted 14 days for this joker to come and disrespect me with this lowball offer.

Absolutely nothing wrong with the car so he makes up 2 code faults which he didnt show me on his code reader.
Beware people.. dont accept their low officers, they are doing this my the dozen from Motoway and god knows what other sites they use.
Just say no and keep your car for sale elsewhere, if you sell it before they turn up dont worry about it.
Dirty sales tactics, misrepresentation!
Absolute con artists and dirty liers! Tried to buy a car from them for the ticket price and they told me they couldnt sell me the car without also paying a further £550 on top for a warranty and indemnity that I didn't want! They told me it was the law! I have since been advised by a legal expert that they are breaking the law and it is misrepresentation. Needless to say I put my money back in my pocket and walked away. Buyer beware!!!

Sold my car through motorways
Sold my car through motorways. Kent cars won the auction and offered £5500. Alex arrived a week later to look over the car. Did basic checks ie electric seat, sun roof all in fully working order. Took it out for test drive and all running well. Parked back up and then put the car on the diagnostic computer and put in test mode, which shuts down certain circuits of the car and all of a sudden the electrical seat not working and sunroof not working, says there seems to be a electric fault somewhere. Takes the diagnostic off turns the car off re starts the car and all of a sudden everything starts to work. Tells me he needs to talk to the office and goes off to his car. After a few minutes comes back and says that due to the so called faults need to reduce the offer to £3000. Thanks but no thanks. I have since checked the reviews and can see there seems to be others that have had the same issue.
Manipulation and aggressive low-balling tactics
Alex arrived and immediately hid behind jargon to overcomplicate what should have been a straightforward transaction. After quoting a Motorway price, he attempted to knock £1,200 off on the spot because the grill was "discoloured".
What followed was a drawn-out bartering exercise — £500 more, then another £200, then a final £100 — purely to see how far I could be pushed. The fact the price kept moving proves the initial reduction was not justified, just an attempt to undercut and pressure.
This felt less like dealing with a professional car buyer and more like a bait-and-switch negotiation. It seriously undermines trust and confidence of Motorway & their buyers. I would not use this company again and would strongly advise others to be wary.

Sold my car via Motorway and Kent Car Centre was the collecting dealer.
At collection, the price was reduced by £1,400 due to an alleged “turbo fault” that was never evidenced to me. No diagnostic report was provided—only a brief view on a phone screen.
The inspector did not introduce himself, asked me to leave during inspection, and the decision was repeatedly passed to “the office”. Despite being told collection would take hours, the recovery truck arrived immediately after I reluctantly agreed, which felt pre-planned.
I later discovered multiple similar reviews describing the same experience. I am currently in dispute and awaiting evidence of the alleged fault.
Very stressful experience. I would advise sellers to proceed with caution.
Very unscrupulous people to deal with
The highest bid by £1 they tried d to reduce the price by over £1000 when I refused and went inside Alex came back claiming they were desperate for cars to sell. Expect to have the price f your vehicle reduced significantly. Should have gone to we buy any car they’re way more honest

My experience with Kent Car Centre was one of the worst instances of customer service and outright dishonesty I have ever encountered. I strongly advise against traveling any distance to purchase a vehicle from this company.
We drove a five -hour round trip (two hours and a half each way) after explicitly calling ahead and confirming that the vehicle, a Hyundai Tucson, 1.7 CRDI had no mechanical or visual issues and was ready for immediate collection. We stressed our intention to buy and drive away that same day.
Undisclosed Fault and Zero Apology
1. Upon arrival, we immediately discovered a major, undisclosed issue: the panoramic sunroof was completely non-operational. This makes the car unfit for immediate sale. We could not leave with the sunroof completely open to the exposed weather.
2. The only person on site was a sales lady who told us she was not an engineer and couldn't fix it or provide a timeline for repair.
3. Despite causing us a four-hour wasted journey and travel expenses, there was absolutely NO attempt at an apology. We informed her this was unacceptable and asked her to notify the owner/manager of the situation, reiterating that we were still highly interested and needed an update on when the repair would be done.
Due to the distance, we were forced to pay for a hotel to return the next day. We arrived and were served by the same un-apologetic lady.
We confirmed our continued interest and demanded to be informed when the sunroof repair was complete.
Instead of receiving an update as promised, the next day my partner called to get an update and was told the car has been sold to someone else!
This dealership exhibited:
• Gross Dishonesty, Lying about the condition of the car to ensure we drove down.
• Utter Contempt for Customer Time: Wasting FIVE HOURS of travel time and causing us to incur hotel expenses.
• Zero Accountability, No apology was offered at any point for their deception.
• Unacceptable Conduct, Selling the vehicle out from under us without notice, after we made arrangements based on their errors.
This was a complete waste of time, money, and is an unacceptable way to treat a serious customer. Stay away.
Simiple, easy to use. Good price over all it was OK
The sale of my car was very straightforward,won with a good price. Arranged the inspection, which was delayed a week. Some urgent issue, which was fine. Rearranged a PM spot, showed up around 5.30. Did the checks, test r drive and then the it's got a couple of codes showing, price reduced by £1000. I said no thanks, the car had a fully dealer service history and neither code had appeared prior. The they offered another £250. This was close to the ball park and I let I go.
The next part of the process was very simple, very professional.
I had assumed that the price would drop but they need to be careful on how they do this.
Overall, it was a good transaction. By coincidence, my daughter was selling her car and because of the delay, we went within carwow. The system and process was very professional, the price more competitive. And perhaps the reason for no haggling??

Frustrating, negative, misleading, waste of time
The same extremely frustrating and negative experience as many others have had with them. They won the auction for my car via Motorway offering £5,300, but in the end offered just £4,000 with no wiggle room. The main reason cited was an issue that I'm sure doesn't exist — I've just had my car checked with the specialist. Terrible waste of time.

As arranged, Alex from Kent Car Centre arrived within the time slot and after a test run and check, did offer less than the auction price, but the offer was still more than Motorway’s valuation. I accepted and am happy with the offer and Kent Car Centre also have a very nice Fiat 500!
