I wouldnever recommendthe Plymouth 'designer' - completely let's the product down due to his ineptitude.

The 2 stars are for the product - I only had doors and appliances. These were OK. It's the 'designer' in the Plymouth store that let the whole experience down. Most of the doors he ordered had the hinges on the wrong side. Jonas and James wouldn't back him over the error. To be fair he did say he would order the correct doors out of his own pocket. However, almost 2yrs later, and no end of phone calls to have to keep reminding him, a catalogue of excuses, I am still waiting for the last door and for one of the doors that he fitted to be corrected as it doesn't shut properly. He is not answering my phone calls, emails or texts. The store is a long way from me but I have gone in once to find it was his day off. I left a message for him to ring me on his reminder pad. He ignored it.
I truly doubt his ability as a designer and wouldn't recommend to anybody.

Jonas & James No After Sale Service

We recently purchased a kitchen from Jonas and James, looking forward to a smooth installation and quality products. Unfortunately, our experience quickly took a turn when the delivery driver mishandled the Minerva worktop, dragging it off the vehicle alone and across our driveway, which resulted in it breaking. Along with the worktop, two pieces of the upstand and the splashback were also damaged during transit.

The broken parts were replaced and installed by our fitter, so we hoped the issues were behind us. However, after some time, we noticed that the replacement pieces  are not a suitable match . We reached out to Jonas and James both in-store and through their online channels, but the responses were frustratingly slow and vague, leaving us feeling ignored for months.

After a long wait, involving the finance company to intervene, Jonas and James eventually replied, offering a mere £250 goodwill gesture—a figure we found insulting given the inconvenience and ongoing problems. The lack of meaningful after-sales service made the whole process disappointing and stressful.

Overall, while the initial product choice seemed promising, the poor handling by delivery staff and the company’s failure to properly address our concerns have left us deeply dissatisfied. If after-sales support is important to you, we would suggest looking elsewhere for your kitchen purchase, as our experience with Jonas and James was far from satisfactory.

Horrible experiance

Incorrect items were supplied (including a microwave that could not be fitted), several items were missing, and the kitchen appears to have been measured/designed incorrectly which caused appliances not to fit properly. This resulted in additional fitting work, delays, and extra costs on our side.
We raised the issues immediately and sent a formal complaint, but after more than two weeks we have received no response, no refund, and no resolution despite multiple attempts to contact them by phone and email.
At this point we are having to escalate the matter further to recover the costs.
I would strongly advise others to be cautious and ensure everything is checked thoroughly before committing. Communication and aftercare have been extremely disappointing.

Elderly parents scammed

So my elderly parents signed up for appointment with the Range for planner to come out . This planner sold a pretty story to them. Told them he knew people who could supply and fit for cheaper price. Befuddled they trusted him. Three months later much stress and illness along the way and left with an absolute mess . Extreme delivery times. A fitter that has no skills whatsoever. Said it would take a week. But three months down the line having to pay more money out after handing over thousands of pounds in cash , they paid out for replacement Splashback only to be destroyed by fitter again. . Left them with lethal flooring and blown electrics . Counter tops and Splashback pieced together with gaps and glue all over. Shelving held up with random screws huge gaps in brickwork needing plastering where the old cupboards and tiling ripped off the walls. Absolute chaos .

Avoid them in case you have problems

If I could I’d score them minus 10!

We’ve had a new kitchen supplied and are having the following issues;
We were told is was prebuilt and only the larder units are flat pack due to size - everything is flat pack
Doors supplied without being drilled for hinges
Doors supplied with hinge holes drilled on wrong side leaving the side with the join showing on front
Wrong colour unit supplied
Bridging unit for extractor fan is a standard size cupboard, not a bridging unit and doesn’t meet legal requirement for distance over gas flame.
The extractor unit supplied is too wide for the cupboard supplied
Not enough coving supplied as the plan didn’t allow for corners, just straight runs.

The kitchen designer and manager don’t want to know about it and say it’s past the 3 weeks they allow for issues (ignoring Consumer Protection legislation) and the store manager won’t even speak to us.

We are claiming a refund from The Range and the finance company under Consumer Rights Act

Avoid buying from them because if you have a problem they don’t want to know.

The most amazing kitchen

The plan was amazing and we talked through everything. Richard was very helpful in advising us on what would work well together. The fitter was very experienced and his attention to detail was second to none. Any problems, which there wasn't any major ones, were dealt with instantly. The cupboards are of an exceptional quality and solid. Would highly recommend

Save time and do not bother going…

Save time and do not bother going anywhere else!

I have been dealing with Richard from the Paignton branch in Devon, this man is a huge credit to the Company, his knowledge of kitchens is second to none, Richard was involved every step of the way from the initial planning stages, arranging finance, and was available all the way through until the kitchen was finished.
I had been to a few other kitchen places first, but the quality of the products and the knowledge from Richard was what sold it to me.
I have since recommended several people to the Range.
I am very pleased with my kitchen.

Great service 100% recommend

Bought a Kitchen from the Bury branch and spoke with a lady called Sharon who was very helpful before and after buying the Kitchen, she was reachable after I bought the kitchen helped to speak to the fitter when they where confused she made buying a Kitchen very easy and no stress for myself with the fitters 100% recommended.

Absolutely awful quality kitchen & CS

Absolutely awful quality kitchen and equally as bad customer service

We purchased our kitchen and initially had bits missing which were delivered in the end but faulty parts started happening not long after install which were replaced at a cost to us to have them fitted.

But the quality of the actual kitchen itself is awful, bubbling, cracking and peeling off after only 3 years of installation to be told that it’s our fault is disgraceful, we saved up for years for our kitchen which were not going to ruin, we spent £1000’s with this company to be palmed off like we have been

Avoid if you want your kitchen to last

Appalling customer service – Avoid The Range Kitchens

We’ve had an awful experience with The Range Kitchens from start to finish. The kitchen was delivered without warning, without blueprints, and with no contact beforehand—leaving us without cooking facilities or even access to water. This was just before our daughter’s first birthday, adding unnecessary stress.

We were told we’d be contacted two weeks before delivery to check everything was correct. That never happened. We later found out the representative we bought the kitchen from was sacked just days after our purchase, and no one took over our case. This is why no one called, no plans were sent, and no one took responsibility.

Repeated attempts to get help were ignored. Eventually, a representative named Jamie visited us and agreed in person to resolve the issues by replacing a corner unit and doors free of charge. We confirmed this agreement by phone with him. However, Claire from head office later claimed we refused this offer—something that never happened—and now refuses to honour it.

Despite asking Claire multiple times to speak over the phone to resolve this more easily, she refuses to call. She appears to be the only person handling customer service and has involved Jamie, left him out of the loop, then involved him again, with no consistency or professionalism.

In addition, emails have been slow to receive a response, with some of my replies simply ignored. After 5 days of waiting for a reply, Claire responded by wrongly blaming us for the poor service without providing any evidence—this was not only false but added insult to an already terrible experience.

It has now been 7 days since I’ve had any communication from anyone. I’ve called multiple Range stores trying to get transferred to the kitchen department, I’ve called the number on Claire’s email signature—which just leaves me on hold for hours—and I’ve emailed twice in the last week. Still, no one will get back to me.

We’ve been left to deal with the fallout and are now expected to pay extra to fix the company’s disorganisation and errors. The service has been chaotic, unprofessional, and frankly insulting. I would strongly urge anyone to avoid The Range Kitchens.

Richard at the Paignton branch …

Richard at the Paignton branch is an amazing Salesman, he came out to measure our kitchen & sent us through the plan and costs etc very quickly, he was very helpful & not at all pushy. He gave us the name of a fitter called Jake who did an amazing job, would definitely recommend using Jonas and James

I booked an appointment with Richard at paignton range. It's was quick professional service and great advice given.
All went very smooth and now I have a beautiful kitchen. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

If you’re getting a kitchen from The…

If you’re getting a kitchen from The Range Southampton, make sure to speak to Gaz! His service is outstanding from start to finish—always helpful, professional, and making sure everything goes smoothly. He keeps communication clear, helps with design, and follows up to ensure everything is right even after the kitchen is fitted.

I’m a kitchen fitter and have now installed several Jonas & James kitchens. They come as flat packs, which I prefer because I know I’m building them strong and sturdy. The 18mm back panels are a big plus—much better than most brands. Occasionally, a part might be missing, but Gaz always gets it sorted quickly with no hassle.

Highly recommend Gaz if you want great service and a smooth experience!

Kirsty at the Doncaster Store is Amazing.

Recently bought a kitchen from Kirsty in the Doncaster store.
To say she went above and beyond to help us pick our dream kitchen is an understatement.
From the minute we walked in to the store to the last she was amazing.
She even came to the house to help us with any fitting problems we came across.
We couldn’t be happier with our kitchen choice thanks to Kirsty.
She deserves all the praise coming to her.

I chose to use jonas & James kitchens within the Range as they had been recommended to me by friends . Kirsty is very friendly and excellent at her job . We received the kitchen on time . This lady even went out of her to bring a replacement door in her own car fabulous customer service . I would highly recommend using this company if you are looking for a new kitchen a heartfelt thankyou Kirsty you’ve looked really well ! 🙂

Quality products, great design

A kitchen is a big expense and inconvenience as it is the hub of the home. We liked the Jonas & James range and after speaking to Hannah in the Range Portsmouth she agreed to come and take measurements of our kitchen. She went away to design our kitchen. When we came to see her we went through a couple of scenarios, looking at options to fit our kitchen.
Hannah has been at the end of the phone and so helpful. Delivery of the kitchen and appliances was as stated.
We are thrilled with Hannahs original design but actually seeing it in our own property, it is stunning. Thank you Hannah.
