i would give 5 stars to basingstoke branch johno- he was absolutely fantastic and did a great job in delivering the scaffold required and even when picking up. friendly, hard worker and nothing was too much trouble. thankyou johno you were a star

i put 2 stars for craig from newbury as he had such an attitude was so rude and you could tell he just didnt want to do his job. had a massive smirk on his face aswell when he said im not picking it up its not in his job description and that he is putting it back on hire.... on more than one occassions he come to pick up the scaffolding that was taking up the whole of my back garden and refused both times to take it. in the end johno from basingstoke took it with no problem, lovely smile, very friendly and nothing too much to ask. thanks johno for sorting this !

2nd order with Jewson's Wigan and was again helped by Reece, great support, friendly and very helpful finding my details when I didn't have the chit available. Again, an ambassador to your business and will definitely get my future orders. Why can't all B2C transactions be this good, other companies need to look at your business model and copy it.

Absurd prices. I registered for an online account to see their prices as I have a large project coming up that I will need to spend a lot of money.

The prices online are utterly absurd, £10.91 for a length of 2x3 cls which is available almost anywhere else for around £3 to £4.

Sheet of 18mm mdf £60 which is available most other places for around £30.

I understand there can be some disparity in prices but those are absolute robbery. I've gone to selco instead who display fair prices from the get go and dont try to milk you for every penny

Shocking! Tried to hire some items from Sutton Road branch in Plymouth, never again!

Complete lack of knowledge and customer service skills! Dealt with the tool hire manager (how I’m not quite sure!) he had little knowledge and his pricing was ridiculous to say the least! Some suggestions were verging on dangerous. Shocking, will definitely be looking elsewhere from now on!

Avoid Sutton Road at all cost!
Called to enquire about hiring, spoke to jake? he was rude, very unhelpful. Didn't have everything i needed and when queried about options didn't seem interested in helping or advising. Customer lost, and i would not recommend going there to anyone if you want friendly helpful advise.

I rang the Rochdale store & spoke with David, I wanted to have a look at some tile colours for garden so he said pop in. From the moment I arrived, through making a decision, costing all the materials etc, David was amazing, gave great advise & product knowledge was spot on. He advised me to swap some products that the builder had listed to better materials to suit my needs & kept the price within my budget. Ended up spending way over an hour with me & it was no problem to him. Would recommend him to my family & friends.

Useless Letchworth store. Ordered a door for click & collect.
Contractors went to pick it up but it could not be found. Took 2 telephone calls and a return visit by contractors to actually find it costing me!
An apology for poor service would have gone a long way but all I got was blame on my contractors.
Appalling service.

Spent £700 in your shop last week they refused to deliver a work top free then Colleen Wood gas lit me on the refund of the work top. Took her 20 mins to refund me. She cut me of several times put me on hold several times then at end of call she.still attempted to get a rise from me I have the call reccorded. And am happy to share. Standard procedure from Woods on this island. Won't be using your island branch again.

Had to take some skirting board back which I’d bought incorrectly ( my fault entirely). Really helpful and friendly phonecall first, then great customer care/service from the staff in the shop and in the yard. Successfully exchanged, helped me load into the car, very pleasant and helpful throughout. Thankyou Blyth store. Shout out to Jonty in the store and the lads in the yard. 👍

Went to the Paignton branch today to kit my grandson out for a new job. The staff were so friendly and helpful particularly Dean. Thank you so much. I highly recommend this outlet.

Fantastic service from Jewson in Evehsam again. They saved the day when Travis Perkins let me down. Was able to telephone, order and pick up a cement mixer within 90 minutes and be home in time for people arriving to lay patio at 1pm Saturday. They also reduced the price, only charging me for one day instead of 2 days over the weekend. The customer service was fantastic, helping me put the items in my car and helpful all round. Thank you James! We will certainly be hiring from Jewson again :). Just hope Stratford can get their hiring department up and running soon as this is closer to us.

During peak morning traffic in a quiet residential estate, a delivery driver obstructed my egress from the driveway. Despite being politely asked to reposition the vehicle approximately 6 feet back to avoid causing an obstruction, the driver responded with an argumentative attitude when asked a second time to move immediately. Upon being challenged on his demeanor, he became aggressive.
I advised him to relocate his vehicle and adjust his attitude, warning that failure to comply would result in a report to the police for obstruction under the Transport (Scotland) Act 2019, as his actions impeded my ability to exit the property and involved parking on the pavement. He then escalated the situation, alleging that I had threatened him. I acknowledged my intention to report the incident, clarifying that my statement pertained solely to legal action, rather than any other implication he sought to capture on his dashcam.
This response was not well received, and I informed him that I also had footage from an eyewitness and the external property cameras. Despite walking away, the driver persisted in his hostile and abusive behavior. I have documented the incident with the vehicle registration number and a photograph of the operative should Jewsons wish to contact me directly for further discussion.

Took back some white cement that had lumps in it. The lady behind the desk said, as it was delivered 10 days ago, they wouldn’t replace it. They assumed it was stored badly. It hasn’t rained in two weeks! I will never use Jewson again. A very short sighted attitude that has shot themselves in the foot!

Waited in for a delivery to be delivered Tuesday, it didn’t arrive then was told Wednesday, it didn’t arrive only to be told it would be Thursday and it didn’t arrive then told it would be Friday only to be told they were having difficulties delivering it 🤔

Badly let down by Jewson. Ordered online early Wednesday morning for a delivery Friday and with work planned using the materials over the weekend. 4pm today (Friday) Jewson's call and say that the crane on their Hiab truck has broken down and they can't deliver today or tomorrow (saturday). No driver on saturday apparently. very poor service and no alternative or compensation offered! I have an account with Jewson but will be reviewing this now.

I went to Jewson for a length of 2"x 1". The only length they had was 4.5 mtrs, much too long to fit in my car. I asked the assistant if he would cut it in half for me, only to be told that they didn’t have a cutting service. I then asked if it was possible to borrow a saw, the assistant said that he didn’t have a saw but offered to sell me a new one. At that point I told him that I would go elsewhere and left. Jewson lost a sale all for the sake of cutting a thin piece of wood. It will be a cold day in hell before I use Jewsons again.

Rented some tool's on line which was cheaper than the branch collected and returned within 24 hour hire period still waiting for the rest of my refund as they charged me the higher rental charge!!!!! Going to have to phone them as totally ignored my email!!! Won’t be using them again. Shame as just about to start building my new house!! There loss

Visited Jewsons, Leighton Buzzard Branch today to purchase one sleeper which I needed to be cut in half. I purchased four of these a few weeks ago.
My experience today was similar to when I visited a few weeks ago. The sales assistant was very helpful and Andy who provided the sleeper in the warehouse, went out of his way to be helpful. His colleague, who is authorised to use the electric saw, was at lunch. To save me having to return, Andy sawed the sleeper in half manually and in hot sunshine. I was very impressed.

THE COMPANY OVERCHARGED -THE ITEM SHOULD HAVE BEEN £29.99 BUT THE CHARGE WAS £40.87 TYRING TO GET ANY SENSE FROM THEIR AI ASSISTANT OR MITCHELL ON CHAT LINE, WAS IMPOSSIBLE. HAVING READ MANY RECENT REVIEWS I WOULD ADVISE ANYONE TO LEAVE THIS COMPANY WELL ALONE.I HAVE YET TO USE THE ITEM BUT CAN HAVE NO HOPE THAT IT WILL BE OF ANY USE.

Ordered a product on line but the picture did not match what was delivered.

Delivery driver Thomas was very helpful and dealt with the returns process himself via telephone conversations with the Newport store.

Jonathan at the Newport store was also very helpful and organised a full refund and a fresh order for the product I had expected.
