Staff are very helpful,polite and caring, gym it self is good has everything you need .but for the past 5+ weeks the showers in the men's haven't been working properly,water is cold,luke warm at times if your lucky.
Have been told on several occasions its getting fixed ...seems that the plumber must be making his way on foot from timbuktu.
Come on management get a grip and get it fixed, its not that difficult.

They have 6 showers and every single one is freezing cold. Its been like that for few months now. Staff just ignore you when you report it.. this is shambles.

Great equipment, great staff, great atmosphere! Makes you want to train, makes you want to go back for more! Well done JD, you've nailed it!

The lighting and the sound in the studio are not very good which makes it hard to know what to do in classes other than follow instructor once they start exercise.

The bike handle bars are too far away from the seat and are not adjustable. I feel I have to free fall forward and hope for the best when reaching for the handle bars.

Went at 7am. Not busy at all. All equipment available. Changing rooms always clean and tidy. Lockers always available.

Constantly having to wait to use machines while Ben and Dan talk crap to each other! Also the main thing is once I’m in the building my internet doesn’t work and I have to use the gyms internet, the only problem is that the gyms internet is absolutely diabolical and doesn’t work unless there’s only a handful of people in the gym using it! 1star is generous to be honest because I mean who the hell wants to lift weights without music? Not me ! Going to cancel my membership if it happens 1 more time !

There are no D rings for the cable machines. There only seem to be one set which isn’t enough for a full gym. There used to be one set for each machine

I was made very welcome and people acknowledged it was my first time and helped me through it and made me feel at ease

I particularly love the classes, the instructors always help & advise the best way to do the exercises without risking injury

All the staff are amazingly helpful. I’ve enjoyed my first week, David H doing sh’bam is brilliant!!

Last week I joined my local JD Gym. A have quite a few workouts for now. However, after my last workout, I had a problem and I have to call an ambulance. This is due to the lack of oxygen which was in the gym and also the lack of ventilation. There wasn't any fresh air at all. I completely understand that your gyms are used by a lot of people, however, I can't understand why there isn't any fresh air. The gyms are supposed to make you a more healthy person, not the complete opposite. If this is the case, why would I continue to use the gym? Why would I harm my body. Someone needs to check this things out, as they are not something to neglect. I don't know about the rest of the gyms, but personally I didn't enjoy my experience in Widnes JD Gyms. This has to be the number one priority of a gym. Someone has to check and look after these things, as it seems like people don't pay attention. This must be monitored especially when the gym is at its peak, when the most of the people come.

Far too hot! I am constantly suprised that the air con is not on/ doesn't work, especially being a fairly small building which heats up quickly and can feel cramped with the added heat from training.
A great shame considering that the equipment is quite good and the staff are helpful whilst not being invasive.

Big shout to Matthew who dealt with us on arrival he was polite professional and very likeable.

There is a lot of equipment in the Gym and looks like it can handle plenty of people.

There is also a separate room available for more personalised use.

It is very clean and appears to be very well maintained, with staff always around to help.

Works for me does what I need it to. Machines are easy to use. Just a shame it’s one time entry per day

The equipment is plentiful and fit for purpose. I can’t remember a situation where I’ve been waiting. The rating would have been higher if not for the toilet facilities. The toilets were filthy, the showers weren’t the cleanest and the taps and showers use a sensor to activate and they are very temperamental.

Nice gym and friendly staff but very busy and I’ve not been able to get in or out because the app code has blocked me out and nobody can fix it.
