I don’t usually leave negative reviews, especially when it’s a smaller business and ideally you want to support them during times like this, but here’s my experience. I ordered a SAGE coffee machine during March, I never read these reviews beforehand so I had no idea re any issues. I waited over 10 days, when you’re ordering a £540 machine you would expect delivery within 1-3 days (next day ideally). I contacted customer service for updates, I was promised dispatch by a certain day, it came to this day and was told it wasn’t going to be dispatched!

Java Hub clearly operate on an order in basis, whenever you order machines it appears that they then order the machine in, stock does not appear to be readily available for dispatch. Now, if you were told this beforehand you probably wouldn’t order, but you’re not - you’re told it is in stock. Java, this is misleading, I appreciate its not all about value, but ordering expensive machines you would expect prompt delivery and accurate stock levels.

I quickly realised I wasn’t going to get my machine for a while given the reviews, so I requested a refund which was also delayed, took over two weeks to receive. When you’re paying £540 for a machine - you would expect prompt refunds as well!

I’m sure Java do great coffee, as they’re reviews prove this but please take on board these reviews and fix these clear stock issues. The reason I’m giving two stars as although my overall experience was poor, Megan in customer service was very responsive and helpful - thank you for that.

I’m all for supporting small business, but I ended up ordering it again from Curry’ which came the following morning. Java, please take note!

Easy to order, speedy delivery.

Took my money happily in January and I waited and waited. Machine never showed up. When contacted, which I always had to initiate, there were constant repeated & vague excuses - brexit, clearing customs, delivery expected, be out to you ASAP. Eventually asked for a refund - 7 weeks later and still waiting for it. Now I will have to pursue legal action to get my money back. I will be contacting both my credit card company and trading standards.

I ordered the same machine (approx£200) from a company in Scotland - when I realised that Javahub weren’t going to honour the delivery ... arrived the next day and they had stated that they’d had no problems importing the machines from Europe.

Excellent all round, great products and service. Will be buying from this company again, and always pleased to support a small, growing business.

Excellent coffee quality, quick delivery with packaging that fits through the letterbox. After trying a few different coffee varieties, I subscribed to their espresso monthly box and I am extremely satisfied with the delivery service, price and quality. I would strongly recommend the subscription to all coffee enthusiasts.

Avoid Java hub like the plague. They’re scammers. I’ve ordered a coffee machine with birthday money and waited excitedly. I’ve heard absolutely nothing. I wish I read these reviews before I ordered as it looks like lots of other people have had the same problem. They’re happy to take your money but they’re not actually able to deliver. They don’t respond to emails and seem to have taken my money and ran.

I accidentally made two orders, and emailed JavaHub requesting to cancel one. I got a prompt response and it was all sorted. My ordered arrived very quickly and I’m fully satisfied. Thank you JavaHub.

This is my experience of ordering a coffee machine from Javahub

Ordered an espresso machine on the 26th March and have been trying to get an exact date for when it will be dispatched for near enough 2 weeks. When you call the main number a pre recorded message asks you to email the main support email, which I've already done and have no longer been getting replies from. Safe to say I have requested to cancel my order and will be never be shopping with Javahub again.

This is what their website says about shipping.

"After we receive your order, it will be processed and we will aim to dispatch your items to you within 3-5 working days, unless stated otherwise on the product description.

Working days are Mon - Friday (exc bank holidays), if you order after 8 am on any Friday then it will be processed the following Monday or available working day."

So in theory my order should have been processed on the 29th March.....

It's such a shame as it would have been nice to support an independent business but their communication is not up to scratch.

Absolutely disgusted by the service from Javahub coffee.
I ordered a sage barista coffee machine for £540 and was told a few days later it was delayed, as it was a birthday present I didn’t have time to wait so asked to cancel it, which was done straight away and told a refund would follow in 3-14 days. That time passed and nothing, so I contacted them again to be told it had been processed correctly and it would be re done and to wait a further 4 days, and still nothing!! It’s over 6 weeks now since I cancelled and despite regular messages on their chat, emails to all possible addresses and Facebook messages they ignore you!! Total crooks! I have filed a claim with my bank as luckily I ordered it via credit card so hopefully they will resolve but still potentially another 2 months to wait for it to be completely settled. AVOID JAVAHUB COFFEE AT ALL COSTS!!!

I tried this service with a few small batches which came super quick and went through the letter box which is important as I'm never home to receive packages, if they could even make some larger sized pouches which are letter box friendly that would be amazing.
The coffee was great, which is important as I've been burnt by lackluster coffee sellers before. Definitely would use again, I'd also like it if they did a rotating subscription with say 1 or 2 small bags per month from different places around the world that aren't main stays on the site.
