My experience with itonline academy’s self-taught classes was excellent. The video materials were well-structured, clear, and easy to understand, making the learning process smooth and effective. The content was delivered in a way that allowed me to grasp key concepts without confusion, even when studying independently. One area for improvement would be to provide a hard copy of the handbook to candidates before the training begins, as this could further enhance the learning experience and allow for better preparation. I downloaded the reading materials and printed as I needed to use those books while watching the videos.

Do a lot of research and carefully consider if signing up to a course with this company is worth it for you. I did the Data Analysis programme, and in hindsight I wish I had never paid for it! I believe there are cheaper/free alternatives out there, that will be easier to follow and more helpful.

One of the courses was on Business Analysis, which you are required to sit an exam for and I don't believe it's good enough to get you to pass. The narration is read by an AI voice, and there are so many spelling mistakes and grammatical errors, that it's hard to follow.

Each course in the programme is delivered by a person, but most of them are just reading from their slides, so please consider if you find that an easy way to learn. Some of the courses are better than others, and you can tell the person delivering them knows what they are talking about. But the SQL course honestly feels like it's the blind leading the blind. The man delivering it just seems to be reading from the slides (and seems surprised by every slide - as if unprepared) and is quite hard to understand.

In one of the first lessons in the GitHub course, you are told "if you have done our command line course this will all look familiar to you" but that course isn't part of the programme.

When I went to complete my level 2 exam the website had crashed 10 questions in (for multiple hours) and there was no mention of that on the community forum, and when I posted a cry for help it wasn't replied to for over 16 hours - well into the next day. I was then just told to "try again". Which as you can imagine is quite frustrating when you've psyched yourself up to take an exam.

Overall, I believe there is some possibility to take away minor skills from this course, but I think it needs a lot more work to get to a point that it's worth the money you pay for it. I also think they need to have more confident, well spoken people delivering the courses. I want to believe the person teaching me knows what they are talking about. So I would say, do a lot of research into this company and potentially look elsewhere.

I’ve recently signed up for the APM PMQ course with IT Online Learning, and although it’s still early days, my experience so far has been very positive.

From the outset, Andy (Business Development Manager) was extremely helpful and informative during the sign-up process, making everything clear and straightforward. I’ve also just had my onboarding call with Lisa (Student Advisor), who was incredibly supportive and took the time to walk me through what to expect and how to get started.

The course was well put together, covered many topics which were explained well. The assessments at the end of each module were a good indicator to how well I had understood the module content and explanations. She filled me with confidence that I was well prepared for the exam, which I passed yesterday. - I had applied for the money-back guarantee if you haven’t managed to secure a job. I was told that you have to complete all the assignments, including feedback, within 2 months (which doesn't seem likely since I was told it can take up to 2 weeks to get feedback). I was also told this was originally 3 months before it was changed. This makes me think a lot of students didn't manage to find work, so they requested their money back, which is why they reduced the time from 3 months to 2.
- Also which you see all of the assignments at the beginning instead of after you have completed each assignment, so you know what is to come.
