I was looking for some further education to do after retiring from the military after 30yrs, and being able to work at my own pace, rather than attending a college.

APM PMQ Qualification
I certainly underestimated the shear volume of this qualification, Whereby the training provided is largely video recording over presentation slides, with knowledge assessments at the end of each module. I am a more interactive hands on learner, so personally it took me longer for the information to stick, however I can’t fault the detailed content provided.
Overall, Would like to say I had a really positive experience with ITonline learning.
The whole online access was simple to navigate and very clear on every step up to and including taking the exam remotely.
With special thanks to one of the tutors Ryan who was very knowledgeable and supportive in preparation for the exam, which I passed first time.

Why you should STAY AWAY from ITONLINELEARNING
I enrolled with IT Online Learning after a sales call where the course was described as highly interactive, with live sessions, collaboration with other students, and practical projects such as building games. It sounded like a hands-on learning experience designed to help develop real coding skills.
Unfortunately, the reality was completely different.
The first unit (HTML/CSS) was straightforward for me as I already have experience in those areas. However, once I moved on to the JavaScript section, the course turned out to be almost entirely pre-recorded videos with little to no interactivity. This was not how the course was presented during the sales process.
I repeatedly tried to contact tutors for help but received no response. After three months of attempting to get support, I raised a formal complaint. A month later, someone finally contacted me and admitted that my tutor had actually left the department months earlier and I had never been reassigned to a new one.
By that point, I had already wasted a significant amount of time with very little learning progress.
I asked for a refund due to the lack of support and the course being misrepresented. This was refused. I even offered a compromise — asking only for my deposit (around £2000) to be returned while I continued paying the remaining finance — but this was also rejected.
Instead, they offered a six-month extension and promised weekly one-to-one interactive support sessions. However, when the new tutor contacted me, he explained he finishes work at 5pm and could not provide support outside of those hours, despite the fact that I work full time. So the “extra support” ultimately amounted to “If you have questions, send me in an email.”
After numerous emails explaining why the course structure is not working for me, no meaningful solution has been provided.
In my opinion, this course was significantly mis-sold. The material appears to consist largely of video content similar to what can be found on platforms like Udemy for a fraction of the cost.
Please think very carefully before committing to this provider. If you are serious about learning to code, I would strongly recommend researching more reputable training providers.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are genuinely sorry to hear that you remain dissatisfied with your experience, and we do want to acknowledge that you raised these concerns with us previously and that they were reviewed in detail.
We appreciate that your expectation was for a highly interactive learning experience, and we are sorry that the programme did not feel that way for you in practice. For clarity, the Coding Diploma Programme is delivered as an online, self-paced course, supported by tutor guidance, and structured to take students from foundational knowledge through to more practical application as they progress. Practical elements, portfolio work and project-based learning do form part of the wider programme, but we understand from your feedback that the format did not align with your personal learning preferences.
We also acknowledge your frustration regarding tutor communication. As we explained during the complaint process, there were delays in support which should have been identified and escalated sooner, and we apologised to you for that. We understand why this caused frustration and why you feel that valuable time was lost.
Your concerns were not ignored. They were formally reviewed, and although we were not able to agree to a refund, we did put forward a number of measures as a goodwill gesture and in an effort to support you further at no additional cost. This included a six-month extension to your training access, access to an additional practical learning portal to provide a more hands-on learning experience, and direct tutor support with the option of guided one-to-one help to assist you in rebuilding confidence and momentum with the course.
In relation to tutor availability, we would also like to clarify for transparency that our tutors operate during standard working hours and do not provide 24/7 support. This is consistent across our academic support model. We appreciate that balancing study around full-time work can be challenging, but the support offered was intended to provide structured academic guidance within those working hours, alongside email support and scheduled assistance where needed. The tutor remains available and willing to help, even if support cannot be provided outside our operational hours.
We also note your comments regarding the course structure and your view of its value. While we do not agree with the suggestion that the programme was mis-sold, we do recognise that you were disappointed by the learning format and by the support delays you experienced. That is precisely why your complaint was taken seriously and why additional support measures were offered in response.
Our position has remained focused on trying to resolve this constructively and on helping you receive the benefit of the training and support available to you. Those support measures were offered in good faith, and we remain willing to support you further should you wish to re-engage with the programme.
We are sorry that this has been your impression of your experience with us, but we are still here, and we would still welcome the opportunity to help you move forward with the additional support already made available.

Not for dyslexic people
Not great for who is dyslexic!
I’ve enrolled for PRINCE2 Foundation & Practioner Course and I found it very hard to follow through.
The course consists mostly video lectures, very formal and boring. As someone who’s dyslexic, I found the content very based on definitions without context or examples.
Project management is itself a very complex subject so the delivery is super important.
I’ve paid the full year, then I paid for an extension which I’m still paying for but I still haven’t got the motivation to start it because is very demotivating.
They don’t have any support for neurodivergents so I think I’ve just lost £2k in the air.

As an accredited learning provider, the structure and delivery of our training must meet the standards set by the awarding bodies. The course materials and learning approach go through rigorous accreditation to ensure they are appropriate and accessible for a wide range of learners, including those with different learning styles and neurodivergent needs. We also understand that individuals learn in different ways, which is why tutor support is available throughout the programme to help explain concepts in different ways and bridge any gaps where learners may be struggling.
On enrolment, the Terms of Learning advise students to inform us if they have any specific learning needs or difficulties so that additional support can be tailored accordingly. In your case, dyslexia was only disclosed much later in the training, when your course access was approaching expiry. Unfortunately, without this information earlier in the programme it can be difficult for us to adapt support in the most effective way from the outset.
You originally enrolled on the Project Management programme in April 2024, which is designed to be completed in approximately three months. You later renewed your course access in March 2025, extending your access for a further 6 months so in total you had access to the training for 18 months. However, our records show very limited engagement with the training following the renewal, which may have contributed to the experience you describe.
We understand from previous conversations that tutor support was helpful, and our tutor team has continued reaching out to offer assistance and understand which areas you may be finding difficult so they can provide tailored guidance. Unfortunately, without ongoing engagement it can be difficult for the team to provide the level of support they would like to offer.
We also worked with you to arrange a reduced payment plan when requested, which is why the extension payments have continued beyond the course expiry date.

The course material is very helpful. There are very useful tools like AI tutors which you can use any time for any questions regarding the course materials as well as using it to create tests for you to practice your knowledge. I had Ryan and Janzelle as my personal tutors, who were very helpful in giving me tips on how to structure my learning as well as helping me throughout the course.
