Called up to get my house connected to a service. Was told my address can’t be connected as I still have an outstanding balance.

Never had an account with iPrimus before so me owing them money is impossible. But it isn’t me that owes them. The former tenants of the place I live at owed them money and they want me to prove I wasn’t living there beforehand. Which is no problem. Sent the. The evidence. Next think I know I’m being g slapped with a huge bill from them.. so I’m not giving them my money and am currently talking to legal about how to not only rectify their major screw up but compensate me for what that have done to my credit score

Not really Happy with how they handle…

Not really Happy with how they handle information.
First they had my account under wrong name, Even after giving the original name details the account seems to hold the same old name. They even have a no direct debit fee. I think the customer can pay the way He/she wish to pay. this is like force someone to get the direct debit or else we charge you for Not
having it.

Bad dishonest company , Shocking service ,paid my bill of…

Shocking service ,paid my bill of 106.45 on the 10th of Nov this year then paid another bill for 121.00 on the 26th of Nov and no internet!!! so I rang them up for answers as to why I was billed twice and why my internet was cut off, was asked for my receipt number um have never been sent a receipt !!!! but was spoken over when I said I didn't receive a receipt, apparently it's not their problem it must be my end that has the problem so they're sending a tech out tomorrow hmmmm I'll be looking for another internet company. Oh one more thing before I called them I tried their online chat and was asked for debit card details so they could charge me $2.00 for the privilege of talking to tech......really???? I don't think so. This is one dodgy dishonest company I would not recommend this company to Satan himself.

Don’t bother

This company sent their technicians out who ripped up my nature-stripe to find no telecommunications, only to rip up someone else’s. They did a half bottom job at cleaning up, as the street looks like people have been doing burn outs all on the grass. IPrimus say they can’t do anything about ut and really it’s not their issues it’s NBN Australia, but we can only contact the NBN through IPrimus. Very disappointed

I have just spent an hour and s half on the phone because my IPrimus sim does not work.
Absolutely red hot angry.
The person said he would send me a new sim.
I rang back again and was told there was no sim ordered.
Totally wasting my life on the phone to people who are useless

Pathetic thieving inane company

Pathetic thieving inane company They kept taking money out of my 90yo fathers visa account for 6 years after rejoining telstra, No apologies, No refund. He just received a notice from Milton Graham(debt collectors) for a outstanding bill. Words can not describe the disgusting actions of these people.NEVER use this company, SHAME on you iprimus

Disgusting service

Disgusting service overall, impossible for them to bother communicating by picking up their phone when you try to call them. Tried to speak via "live chat" to get a bot that sent me a form costing $2 to speak to a real person! Down right thieving as are the double fees they charge for paying by bpay rather than trust them to take the right payment automatically. The ombudsman should shut them down!

2nd year 2 routers dead
3rd year another 2 routers
the routers just stop working right unable to connect wifi device says unable to connect to device so forced to do factory update their so called auto configure dosnt work so have to manually put email and password in but the home phone wont work they wont give out the sis settings to add the voip account so they need to manually do on their end this happens atleast 2 times a month and they take upto 3 days to manually setup the voip acc so 5 to 6 days a month no phone working

Service is appalling, would not recommend subscribing to this provider - EVER!!

Ordered on line the 250/25 service on the 16th April, scheduling in the service cutover for the 27th April. Received an onboard email which stated they had received the order and a brief outline of the service...this outline did not state the subscribed speed (more on that later). 27th comes and goes...no service, not equipment. Equipment turns up on the 28th. Instructions state that its preconfigured and ready to go. I plug in and its using Cellular network, speed of approx. 7-9Mbps. I contact them and they state it can take 24-48 hrs to provision. 29th, I contact them, the speed has increased to 25Mbps but not the 250Mbps i signed up for. They argue with me that I only signed up for 25Mbps, after this going back and forth they admit that the system can default to the basic package. They assure me that this will be fixed within the next 24-48hrs and that I will be up and running over the weekend. I explicitly ask that if not, is there a team working on the weekend to rectifiy, assurances are given. Not the case. Monday still no 250Mbps. The problem now is that my phone number has not ported and they cannot change anything on the account, do anything at all until this is done. They state this will take anywhere up to 5 business days. They give me the option to cancel the porting of the number but this will take up to another 5 business days. Its now the 6th May. Ive report this to the communications ombudsman, and still no action for them to expedite or prioritize. I would not recommend this provider for anything!!

Absolute nightmare! Thieves. Use anyone else

The first bill was over triple the agreed amount (fees and such that were never dislcosed) $75 unlimited became $450 snailpace when you could connect. The speed wasn't even close. I offered to pay the agreed amount and cancel due the deceit and was told by a clearly unhinged employee "I hope you don't need loan in the future I'm going to enjoy destroying your credit rating you will pay one way or another" now fighting to keep my credit rating. Absolute theives stay away!

2017 not able to service, 2021 sudden debt collector???

I applied for an internet service around April 2017. After some time waiting and being told varying stories, I was advised they couldn't actually service my property. They kept sending bills and advised not to worry that it'd be fixed when the failed connection and association application were finalised. About 2-3 months later the bills stopped. Fast forward to Oct 2021, I suddenly have a debt collector asking for money, for 'home line rental charges', despite service not being 'available'. I also applied for an internet bundle with mandatory home line. I obviously didn't want just a home line (do we even use these now?). Fast forward that Feb 2022 and now they're asking me to 'return hardware' that I never received because they couldn't fulfil the connection request. They didn't pay any attention to the complaint and haven't addressed any other issues raised. I've also learnt that mail was sent to an address I left in 2012. It was never a current address with either company. I can't understand how they could possibly mess things up so bad. I would NEVER recommend iPrimus. You have every chance of being messed around new, current and even old customers. I concur with all other recommendations on this page. STAY AWAY is my recommendation.

Worst internet company around screwed us with connection date so we cancelled before the date they had chosen then signed with another company then iprimus connected and cancelled the new companies connection absolute morons dont listen dont care

but do you know no matter how you decide to pay your bill they will put a fee on it
you cant actually pay your bill for free
my service is slow
i asked for an extra fetch box they wont let me have one
you can purchase your own fetch box but they wont connected it your only allowed one box even though you'd be paying for it
looking to change my supplier and will contact the ombudsman regarding the fees you apply to pay your bill totally disgusting

I've been with Iprimus well over 10+ years (staying longer then I should because customer service is usually very friendly) However I am well past breaking point.. You can forgive any provider for the occasional internet drop out because 'it happens', yet these past 3 + months it has been endless, we're constantly left in the dark in terms of being without internet & homephone. I also game online alot, & its pretty embarrassing or frustrating to have friends wondering if i will come back.. or not, once internet kicks me out. I have had to make repeated trips to the nearest public phones to stand there, onhold for hours(two of these times, they hung up as soon as the wait was over, & i'd stood there so long , kind strangers checked on me. ) Another time when public phones (both closest ones) were broken, I had to use someones mobile phone, the call cost them $16 / In the beginning when i called Iprimus to tell them im having issues they would repeatedly at the end of each call, try to sign me up to a mobile deal to squeeze even more money out of me 'by starting with "As a valued customer you are entitled to" :))) which is a joke considering how often our internet and home phone dies (I can imagine how useless a mobile would become as well, if signed to them) Until i made it very clear i dont want to be offered that deal anymore.
When we moved & switched over, I informed them the guy living here before us under a different provider, had 'constant' internet drop outs too, yet after sending a technician 'FINALLY' (after days - weeks of 'observing things on their end' , the guy did outside work after disregarding my attempt to tell him "I think its the wall outlet" because its a tad loose & usually messing with that end will make the internet kick in again?) , the technician didnt solve the issue ofc.... So this time Iprimus has informed me "Perhaps its the modem.. you need a new one" :) (proving I am such a valued customer-->) "However you are no longer under warranty anymore.. so you will be charged for a new modem :)))" - Reminder that the previous guy.. under a 'different' provider had same issues? so OF COURSE i KNEW it wasnt the modem... however as they wouldnt listen, we now have a NEW modem that is useless since internet is STILL dropping out.. but wait... theres more? ... they sent TWO modems.. the first one we received was the wrong one.. so after finally setting that up, we then had to switch it over and reset up the reset of the new modem.. the other one? we have to send back , but everytime they say "we will send you a code" to print out and attach to the package to be sent back, We dont get the code.. Which is interesting since we ALWAYS without fail... get our bill. Speaking of which, end of every month, it costs around $83 - $90 without fail.. DESPITE constant internet issues and me being a 'VALUED CUSTOMER' , the bill does not change.. we are still paying the full price for a service that often is not working. Iprimus is not a provider you should seek... Please do yourselves a favour and look elsewhere, as we have been doing.. because its brought us nothing but stress at an already stressful time. I have always been polite to them because i dont like being rude, but all this messing around has driven me nuts.

Iprimus - The Worst Customer Service

I was with Activ8me and left there service after 8 years due to very low speed. I called Iprimus on 26/7/21, spoke to Sherlyn (sales rep.) she explained the different plans they were offering. I asked for the best speed and she recommended $90 plan on offer i.e 250 mbps for first 6 months and then they will charge me $115 pm. I asked for what modem they will be providing me as I had done some research. Sherlyn advised that she will be sending me TP Link VX220-G2V modem which is best in performance. She also mentioned other modem Huawei modem but as TP link was the latest technology, she promised to send the TP link modem. I agreed to sign off with the plan. I also requested her not to active my service until i receive the new Modem, and she said yes, however she active it same day. My wife and I was left with no internet for 2 days and suffered backlash from our managers for not completing our jobs on time. Sherlyn sent us incorrect modem i.e Huawei which we ever agreed on. I complained about it and she advised to send the correct modem and charged me $70 on top. Again she sent me the same HUAWEI modem, i was shocked. When i call them, they said they don’t have it.

Trying to get a connection for my…

Trying to get a connection for my elderly father for over a week easy for iprimus to send nbn box and modem. But still no home phone connection bern a customer for over 18 years looks like time to find another provider. Technical department hopeless and unreliable.

Beyond abysmal. Ongoing ..
I was not a voluntary user, they bought out previous email provider, eftel.
Horrible, horrible experience.
Dreadful delays, awful VOIP quality, poor conversational/technical English.
Beyond belief this shambles is said to be major player O/S..
The first communication I received was a satisfaction survey..
No notification of ID or password links to site..
Guess how that went.

Some might say I'm a glutton for punishment but I stayed with this shower because many contacts have the email in question.

Recently problems arose again.
Some issues with how iPrimus handles what is called DMARC verification.

This is a server side setting and iPrimus server does NOT implement it [properly?] and many other email servers reject any email sent from it.
This is an ongoing real struggle to fix up.

I have sent in copies of error messages and been assured of follow up..
None appeared.
Called again today.
Will be called tomorrow ..
Here's hoping..
