Subscribed online and finding it almost impossible to unsubscribe. It’s not made easy. I’ve already sent three emails and still waiting.

Badly informed articles that show such bias of the author. Seems a platform for their journalists to vent when apparently reporting " news".

Very poor customer support - no response to calls or emails
Took out a digital subscription with paper copy at the weekend. Realised I was 3 vouchers short for the weekend paper so phoned them....but say lines always busy so left messages, as requested, which are never responded too. Have also tried emails but same problem. Wish I'd seen these reviews before taking out the yearly sub

REALLY disappointing a feels a little bit like a con. I signed up and cancelled after a few months but they've been taking my subscrption fee every month ever seince. Ive left voicemails, Ive emailed the support email address a number of times, Ive tried to email the Editor - NO responses and the money keeps coming out of my account. DO NOT SIGN UP!!!
Ripping off an 88 year old!
We have just discovered that our mum has had two subscriptions to this newspaper since 2018. Both in her name (one with an additional initial), same email address, same house address and both started the same week - clearly a mistake from an elderly lady BUT not picked up by the i-news subscription service. So she has paid an additional £1400 to i-news for her daily newspaper! The error was picked up by my brother last week and prompted a call to customer service. Not only did they say "Well it was her fault" but also when my brother angrily said we'll cancel the subscription all together, she responded with "No problem, i'll do that now" and hung up! Unbelievable. Do NOT subscribe to this newspaper.
Dreadful service
Dreadful service, subscribed for many years yet every year there is an issue in renewing, have just paid twice for new subscriptions , after leaving voice messages and e-mails have not received any reply. From my view, do not subscribe, shocking service, impossible to contact

Shocking customer service
I tried to renew my subscription but was unable to do this so emailed asking for help. As I got no response my husband opened a new account instead. About a week later I got an email saying they had renewed my account and had my bank details.
I can’t get through to them to sort this out. They don’t respond to emails and the phone line doesn’t let you through to anyone.
Despite opening 2 accounts I still haven’t received the coupons and have no digital access.

I signed up to have a daily I paper delivered and was supposed to get digital access as well.No papers have arrived and no link to access the digital material. I have phoned and emailed several times to cancel my subscription, but nobody answers or responds.The debit has been taken for a service I have not received.
Refused Digital App
I have had an i subscription since the early days of the i. I have been able to use the app as well as collect a paper copy from my local newsagent.
No longer, I am now told I am no longer able to view the digital version at the same time as being asked if I want to logout. All attempts at resetting digital access are blocked. The captcher is difficult to view and the sound version impossible to hear.
I have contacted i to try and solve the problems but had no response.
Considering my subscription clearly states it covers paper and digital source I feel cheated and ignored.

No compassion for humanity
It might be a bit far fetched to expect a newspaper to show kindness and compassion towards humanity, but I have just read an article slamming the possibility of Charlie Mackesy's book, The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse, becoming reading material in schools!!
The idea of this book becoming a part of school curriculum is the best news I have heard in years. Don't let journalists exploit their power by ranting about their own biased opinions. Terrible use of journalism.

I have subscribed for a digital service, and recieved now access to articles and been charged. Email customer services and they just ignore you.
Out of touch scum
Literally just read an article about a middle class woman, complaining that she feels ‘less than’ because she can’t afford “to go to ascot, hire a gardener or take a weekend to Ibiza”.. as a working class person who’s reality is that I can almost afford food, this is so out of touch and really didn’t deserve being published. This one article has let me know exactly what kind of a publication it is. Scum. As for the writer of that article, do not ever whinge about your position in life you have it a lot better than, I’d say, 85% of the population. So for you to whine about how you can’t afford to go to ascot or hire a gardener smacks of entitlement. Boo hoo you can’t keep up with the rich joneses. Pure scum
Thinking of reporting to the ICO
Thinking of reporting to the ICO. Had to sign up to read an article I was interested in, but then I get bombarded by emails pressurising me to sign up to their newsletters. I am unable to unsubscribe from these as they are allegedly "important information in relation to your account". Absolute cobblers and clearly in breach of any GDPR stuff. Have emailed requesting account closure, but their support email isn't accepting mail according to my email provider.

With writers like Emily Watkins writing about something she clearly knows nothing about, why would I pay to read this? Fortunately I managed to read her article about sewing bee before parting with my cash. So out of touch with the shows audience. Do we really need another "negative nanny" spreading her own bitter doom and gloom about an uplifting heartwarming show that so many of us have come to love. It's not the fashion show dear, it's the sewing bee. Get with the programme!
