Blocking of the card at establishments where alcohol is sold
Dislike the blocking of the card at any establishment that is deemed to sell alcohol. My daughter's card has not worked so many times when she is out with friends and she is left with no money which is embarrassing and unnecessary when she is just trying to buy some lunch in the middle of the day.

Some merchants are categorised by the type of business they operate, and where a merchant is classified as selling alcohol, transactions on child cards may be declined to help support the spending controls available to parents. We appreciate that this can sometimes affect purchases where the intention is simply to buy food or drinks.

Great way of giving your kids control of their pocket money
I joined HyperJar so that my teenage daughter could have a card to take control of her pocket money and be able to develop independence making financial decisions on what to buy or whether to save for something specific, without the bother of setting up a bank account in her name.
I have a regular payment set up from myself to her and can add extra very quickly & easily if necessary. I also see what she’s spending her money on.
No monthly fee was a major factor in choosing HyperJar over their competitors.
Highly recommend.

I use Hyperjar as my main spending…
I use Hyperjar as my main spending account (salary & direct debits elsewhere) as the cashback offers & rewards are really useful. The app is easy to use & being able to add jars helps with budgeting. My kids also have Hyperjar so it's easy to transfer money to them & I get notifications of their spending. The missing star is because I can't use my card at petrol pumps & keep getting payments declined when trying to top up some accounts.

I think hyperjar is brilliant
I think hyperjar is brilliant. I cant separate my funds into jars which helps me keep track of what I'm spending and my savings goals. It has also helped with impulse spending because if the jar is labelled holiday for example, I find it a lot harder to just spend the money randomly. I've used the app for about 4 years and love it

Great service today
Parth was great, really helpful when my son’s card was broken. The chat did start with a BOT but fairly soon gave me a real person (Parth), which was reassuring. My kids are loving having independence with their HyperJar cards.
