Great product with even better service
Had HyperJar as my son’s first bank card and not looked anywhere else. Easy to use with a helpful app and on there is a live chat for further great support, such as Pranjal who kindly and quickly sorted a replacement card when my son lost his! Thank you.

AVOID AVOID AVOID.
These thieves have held over £3000 of MY money for almost a week now. The reason? The same as every other disgruntled person here bogus “anti money laundering checks and regulations”.
When you comply and provide every piece of requested evidence there is no substance behind these baseless claims.
The compliance team, virtually non existent. How can they make you wait over 48 hours for a response? It’s absolutely abhorrent. I highly implore everyone to close their accounts and move their money to different accounts. At their will these scoundrels will suspend your account and take money when they see fit.
You give them everything they’ve asked first and it’s just the same copy and paste response.
It’s beyond a joke.
A formal complaint has been made with their complaints department and if I don’t get my money soon the next step will be the financial ombudsman and the local media.
Maybe then these crooks will listen.
I know I’m going to get the same copy and paste response to this review as every other disgruntled individual. I’m not doing it for myself, simply so I can alert the masses that this IS NOT a safe place to be storing your hard earned money, plain and simple

Had a live chat with Parth as I realised mine and the kids cards were due to expire soon. All sorted really quickly and easily. I hadn’t realised that I needed to confirm my address before they would be sent out. All sorted now. Thanks to Parth.

Hyperjar is so easy to use
Hyperjar is so easy to use. I can track my childrens card spending easily and step in to control spending if needed and its really simple. I had a query tonight so i engaged with the live chat and was able to chat with someone within a minute or two. They were really polite, knowledgable and helpful. Query sorted within a couple of minutes.
I am really glad i chose hyperjar. We have been using it as a family for a couple of years now. Even spending abroad is easy and convenient.

HyperJar - Refund Delays
HyperJar has worked well for my family as a basic payment mechanism but we recently have discovered a problem when it comes to refunds. An online transaction was made and then cancelled immediately. We were told that the payment had not been taken given the immediacy of the cancellation and the payment authorisation had been cancelled by the merchant. Unfortunately it will take HyperJar 14 days to credit my son’s jar with monies that effectively never left his account. In this era of faster payments there is no good reason for this delay other than the fact that HyperJar earn interest on the funds deprived. A complaint has yielded a speedy response but nothing helpful - just confirmation that their payment system is operating as intended so there is no need for a manual intervention to return the money. Well, that’s two customers lost.

I've been using Hyperjar to help my Children manage their pocket money for about five years now and have found it has everything I need and works really well. The linked accounts, wallets and cards work really well and the progression of charges (from free to small amounts for transactions (after a certain number of free transactions)) works really well. Highly recommend for those that don't wish to pay yet another monthly subscription fee.

Hyper jar use to be great.
I had hyper jar for 3 of my children and it was great to start with my 2 down sides and the reasons I came away from hyper jar was
1. It started getting expensive to send money to another bank when the children wanted cash.
2. Couldn't withdraw from a cash machine so had to send it to my main bank which then cost the children money that they had saved up.
But it was a fantastic way of getting the children to save for different things at the same time.
