Superb service from the hydra team…

I would like to thank the hydra team for their assistance in getting the Hydra Notus charger installed at my house. From my first contact with the hydra team, they have been incredibly helpful and informative up on to installation. I will absolutely recommend them.

Hydra Genesis Dual 22kW EV chargers are a joy to fit, connections are simple and straightforward and the chargers leave the factory pre-commissioned, which makes set up a simple operation. They also look great for a commercial charger with great support from the team at Hydra.

I have been charged 49£ for using the charger for less than 6min which was very slow in Bristol and I need my refund.

Fantastic EV Charger

I couldn’t be happier with my Hydra Zodiac car charger. Installation was simple, and it started working flawlessly right away. The charging speed is excellent I can easily top up my EV overnight or get a solid boost in just a couple of hours.

The build quality feels premium and durable, and the cable length is perfect for reaching my car without tangling. I like the intuitive the design I just plug in and it works every time.

Overall, this charger offers great value for the money. It’s reliable, efficient, and makes owning an electric vehicle even more convenient. Highly recommended for any EV owner!

We understand your concern and want to personally reach out to clarify the situation and ensure everything has been appropriately resolved.
It appears there was some confusion caused by the site signage, which lists our company as the CPO (Charge Point Operator). In fact, we are the Manufacturer, not the operator — meaning we do not control the on-site pricing or billing systems. The landowner, who manages the point of operation, sets those costs directly and takes payment directly from the customer. We have no involvement with the PDQ machines.

However, as your experience reflects on our brand, we acted immediately to resolve the issue for you. We have issued a full refund for the incorrect charges and have also contacted the site management to address the misleading signage and promote greater transparency moving forward.
We genuinely value our customers and appreciate your understanding in this matter. Your satisfaction remains our top priority, and we thank you for your patience as we work to resolve the issue.

I purchased a Hydra Cubus charge. What brilliant support

I purchased a Hydra Cubus charger recently. Having installed the charger, I was provided with excellent support in setting up the charger through the HCharger app. However, the following day, when connecting the charger to my car, a red light appeared and a fault was detected. After speaking with the support team, who went through everything to try and resolve the issue, they decided to send me a new charger. A day later, the new charger arrived, and another problem seemed to occur. To my embarrassment, it was an internet issue where I had input the password with one letter missing. Tom, from the support section, worked tirelessly to resolve the issue and eventually the new charger was up and running. I cannot recommend this company enough. If all those who are in this sphere, I would ask that you followed HuydraEV's excellent service. Well done and thank you.

Unbelievable customer service

I had a Cubus EV charger installed in 2023 which for some reason stopped working. The electrician who fitted it didn't want to know but Hydra customer service spent a long time trying to resolve the issue by phone and eventually replaced the charger and arranged installation. Everything now working perfectly. Thank you Hydra for caring and for sorting me out - so much appreciated.

Firmware issues after just 2 years of use…

I have been using my Hydra Zodiac charger since Feb 2023 when receiving my EV, used only at most once per week as also charged at work without problems. 2 years on and started to get intermittent issues with continual charge, fast forward to today where I can barely get a charge to work and having contacted the help desk, I have been advised of issues with the firmware. To date I am still in continuous contact but no resolution has been offered other than stating how it is now out of warranty. I do not expect after paying almost £1000 for home charging to be in this position just 2 years down the line.

WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY

I have really enjoyed my experience with Hydra and would certainly recommend them to anyone considering an electric vehicle charger. There customer service is second to none and they answered all my questions swiftly which gave me the confidence I was looking for in getting a charger installed. I have been using the product for a few months now (Hydra Cubus) and I love it.

Hydra Zodiac Charger fault after 10 uses

I purchased a Zodiac EV charger for my new home around two years ago. It's been used fewer than 10 times — I mostly charge at work due to lower rates — yet it's already faulted and no longer functions.

Support has been disappointing: I’ve been passed around by people offering help but never actually delivering any. On top of that, I'm told it's not covered under the 3-year warranty because of a purchase date technicality, leaving me £600 out of pocket.

After reading similar stories from other customers, I’m starting to wonder if my unit was one of the faulty ones. If this is a known issue, why hasn’t Hydra addressed it more openly?

This was meant to be a long-term investment. Instead, I’m now looking at other EV charger brands that have a stronger track record for product reliability and customer support.

Really good experience and service

Unbeatable customer service!

Our new build home came with a Hydra EV charger fitted. 18 months after moving in i decided to get my first electric car which led me to find the EV charger installed at my property was faulty.

After contacting Hydra they could not have done more to help. Malcom was friendly and attempted to resolve the issue. When he could not he did not hesitate to send a replacement.
Admittedly the Hydra charger is not the easiest in terms of setting up to use and the instructions are poor. Thankfully Malcom was again on hand to talk me through the whole process and the charge is now working without issue.

I can not think of a time i received better customer care from any company.

Great service. UK-based call centre.

We've had our charger Hydra Cubus charger for about 6 months and it developed a fault. The fault was fixed instantly over the phone by HydraEV's helpdesk. A very refreshing change from the usual 'helpdesks' who are anything but. Thank you!

Great EV Chargers from a Local Company

As an Installer I've worked with Hydra on many occasions. Their EV Charges are nice and easy to install, with commissioning even easier as their technical team are always on call to help.

Great feedback from customers using the EV Chargers and also their app.

After initial issues

After initial issues, I had to contact Hydra several times during the same day. I can only say that the service and feedback I received from Jay and Tom was second to none. Both young men were patient and explained how to resolve the problem. I am more than pleased with the help I was given and all credit to Jay and Tom who resolved the situation.

Shame I can't offer more than 5 stars

I purchased a Hydra charger that did not perform as expected. Jay Lawless provided exceptional support, guiding me through troubleshooting steps to identify any issues. Despite updating both the app and the charger, the problem persisted. Consequently, I was offered a replacement. Jay demonstrated utmost professionalism throughout the entire process. His support exceeded my expectations, especially given the current standards in the corporate world

Hydra are a great company to work with

Hydra are a great company to work with, we had not heard of them before we had the chargers installed but they were recommended to us by our electrician. Their customer service is great and Jay is always on hand to give help and advise whenever I need it.
