Very friendly no rush and explained every detail

The young man was very patient and explained everything to me

I thought the staff were very helpful however when I went the first time I was told the price if the chair I was interested in and was given the price (written down). I went I. 3 days later to purchase and had been given the wrong price so have had to pay £300 more. Very disappointing.

Since submitting this review I have had a telephone call from HSL Head Office and after explaining what had happened have now been offered compensation which I have gratefully accepted. I am very impressed by customer care on all levels. Thank you very much.

The assistant was very knowledgable and answered my many questions clearly and fully . She showed great patience and understanding whilst offering me various options.

Visited HSL in Truro a few weeks ago with my mother and had a great experience. Maria and Helen were so welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. My mother is nearly 86 and suffers from sciatica and has minor mobility issues with leg stiffness. Maria worked with my mother to find the perfect orthopaedic chair for her. We were extremely happy with the whole process of purchasing from Truro HSL.

Helen at the Truro branch was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. She also coped really well single handed with multiple customers. The choice of chairs and other furniture and the fabrics available was also very good. Looking forward to receiving the chair I ordered next month.

We were greeted by Maria who provided us with information on the chairs, suggested we try out the chairs and options available. We made the decision and the necessary payment was made. It was such a pleasure to receive true customer service.

Helen in Truro was a great help in making a difficult financial decision

When I tried the chair in the shop it was soft and comfortable, I understand it may have been sat in many times. Not once did anyone say when yours is delivered it will feel like a different chair, it is rock hard and very uncomfortable I would not have bought had it felt like this. Very disappointed. Giving me backache. I'm very happy to add that someone has contacted me from HSL and explained why my chair feels so hard and not as comfortable as in the store. I'm feeling alot more positive about my purchase now. Looking forward to using the chair and seeing how it feels in a few week.

The efficiency and quick delivery. Help in store and delivery

We visited HSL Truro store to view Adjustable Beds on the 12th April. We had booked an appointment and upon arrival we were met by Helen who was superb, she looked after us so well.
She asked what we were looking for and what our needs were.
Helen showed us to the bed area and demonstrated the adjustable beds. Helen was so knowledgeable and she explained things so well the pros and cons of different beds available the costs and everything else that we could have.
Helen then left us to discuss everything and shortly returned with tea and biscuits.
We were already sold by then and we completed a purchase, we are so looking forward to our new bed.
I would also say there was no pressure selling the whole experience was very refreshing.

Maria at HSL Truro was absolutely brilliant in helping my 90-year-old mother choose a chair. She was very knowledgeable about all products on offer and quickly grasped the nature of my mother’s disabilities and was keen to suggest appropriate solutions. Maria and her colleague made the whole process very simple and enjoyable and my mother was delighted with their helpfulness and understanding.

Shop sale lady very knowledgeable about there products and very helpful nothing to much trouble and she explained how to chose the right product to get the maximum comfort as the chair must support you in the right places as you are sitting there for a long time.

I had great help choosing a chair, by Fred, at the Truro shop. He explained my options and made the process easier to satisfy my requirements.
Chair was duly ordered on 25.01.26. It arrived on 02.03.26. The delivery was excellent, with polite and helpful explanation of chair controls. Great service quality from all at HSL.
