The two Stockton branch staff Wendy and Steph were excellent in helping us arrive at a decision that met our requirements in terms of their knowledge and helpfulness with regards the chair fitting and colour coordination for our room decor. No pressure sales, just honest information delivered in a supportive and friendly manner.

John and Ali from Stockton were both very friendly, efficient and explained everything very clearly so we knew exactly what we were buying. Nothing was too much trouble and my husband was able to sit in a chair and try it out.

Everything from start to delivery was fantastic, staff in the shop were very attentive, nothing was too much trouble for them. Checking to make sure the chair met my mams needs and getting them a cuppa tea, it's the small gestures that make all the difference. Delivery lads Alex & Asad were lovely, making sure it worked and trying different areas of the room to see where was best. Thanks to all and she is very pleased with the chair :-)

Been to Stockton-on-Tees show room Ali Steph and Wendy were very helpful in our decision on which furniture was best for us Steph was very knowledgeable and fabrics design and funtion we were offered tea or coffee Ali was helpful with the after care and Wendy helped with colours we came out very pleased with what we purchased and looking forward to delivery

The appointment was arranged through a telephone conversation with staff at the York showroom who were extremely helpful. Wendy and John arrived on time and both were very knowledgeable about the products and the history of HSL. I was nervous when using the chair to recline and stand but they guided me in a friendly, professional manner. The Ripley chair was extremely comfortable and I’m now waiting impatiently for my own to arrive!

Craig and Jed delivered my chair today 21st April. They rang to say the time they would be with me. They were polite, friendly and very professional in their job. They were nice guys.
Along with the girls in the shop my experience with HSL was extremely good. Thank you all concerned.

We initially visited the Stockton-on-Tees branch to view the furniture on display. We were assisted by Luke, who was very helpful and left us alone to try out a number of suites that we liked and discuss our findings with each other, but being there whenever we sought further information. We left with brochures etc to peruse at home.
We revisited the store on 7 April 2026 where we were met by Allison, who again helped us with further queries and guided us into making our final choice, result: 1 x 3-piece suite purchased.
Both members of staff were very knowledgeable about the various styles, sizes and options of furniture and their coverings and were courteous throughout.

Jacqui and John from the Stockton store came to demonstrate the chairs. They were both extremel pleasant and helpful , Jacqui going above and beyond helping with the samples of fabric. After much consideration I placed my order for a three piece suite .I have now taken delivery after slight problems removing my old suite which the delivery men took in their stride! I am 100% pleased with my furniture and the service received from all the staff, including very helpful customer services, including Chantelle who very kindly sent me a birthday card following me mentioning in passing that the furniture was going to be a birthday present to myself!!

Exceptional service from staff at HLS Stockton, in particular Allison. The range of sofas, chairs and fabrics, is extensive, and competitively priced. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful experience with Steph and John, who made everything so easy for my grandma and grandad who were unable to get over to the shop. So for someone to come out and help with the colour, the style the type of cushion to go into the sofa was really amazing.
We couldn’t thank Steph and John enough saved a lot of trouble with getting granddad out the house. Amazing team Thankyou again for all your help and my grandad is really looking forward to his new chair arriving!!!

Good honest polite person who sold my chair .

We purchased a two seater recliner and a single seat recliner from HSL in the Stockton portrack lane store and were greeted by Luke & Wendy who were absolutely fantastic professionals in every aspect of sales personnel they even made us probably the best coffee I’ve ever tasted and made us feel really welcome not because of a sales pitch but has human beings like family and we really appreciated that, we were given a time scale of 6 to 10 weeks for delivery but arrived today just under 6 weeks which is great, the quality is superb and you get what you pay for obviously it is admittedly very expensive but in return you get the best quality product and you can actually feel it’s worth, also the delivery was as smooth with Jed and Craig making us feel at ease with there professional handling our purchase with care and precision entering our property many thanks for a smooth process from the sales team right the way through to the delivery team a big thank you to you all

Wendy was extremely, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
She made us feel comfortable and relaxed.
Overall, a lovely experience.
