Utterly appalling "service". My elderly mum paid in full for a recliner and an armchair. No recliner delivered. Recliner needed as mum is very elderly and lacks mobility. 7 weeks on, no contact unless initiated by me, empty promises by Olivia, alleged manager. Promised update calls, promised delivery of missing chair. Nothing. Do not use HSL. If o could give 0 stars I would. This company has no regard or respect for its customers. I will now be seeking a full refund and collection of the one chair that was delivered.

i asked for a home demonstration as i am disabled Jonny and Kara arrived promptly as 11.10am from milton Keynes 40 miles away. i tried both models and orderd a rise recliner . excellent service from both employees. polite, knowledgeable and explained everything.it was a pleasure to have old fashioned service again. thank you.

From going to the showroom to delivery was all first class. The showroom experience was good. The sales person was patient. The delivery was also good. Great care was taken and very polite.

Julie in MK was so helpful, my dad and I went to look at your range of chairs, after browsing and a chat with Julie, we enjoyed a lovely cuppa with biscuits while my dad decided on his choice of chair and Julie went through choices of material and accessories, armchair covers etc.
My dad decided on the all singing all dancing standard size chair, he is looking forward to delivery.

HSL sent me a brochure and I visited the Milton Keynes showroom, where I was shown exactly what I wanted. The young sales girl was very helpful.
We only had to wait three days for the chair to be delivered, which was done this morning, the deliveryman arriving exactly when they said they would. They were quick and efficient. Buying this chair has been a good experience.

Smooth purchase from showroom to delivery. Helpful and knowledgeable in the showroom, delivery prompt (practically to the minute!!) and over and above service from Leon and Martin who did the delivery. Very pleased with the products

All round a great experience. Store staff were not pressingat all, they were very happy for me to come back and sit with a book for 40 minutes whilst I checked I was comfortable in the recliner I was interested in, during which they made me a cup of tea and gave me biscuits 😊
After a few days of reflection, and double checking I'd got space at home, I went back in and placed the order. On the day of delivery I had a phone call as planned before Jason and Ashley arrived on time. They were very courteous and efficient making sure the chair was where I wanted it and set up ready to go before they left. It goes without saying (but I'll say it anyway) they also took any packaging away. Thanks everybody.

Excellent service very quick.
Bought a 2 seater recliner replacing our rather old and dilapidated sofa.
Only received it today but the difference already comfy with good support.
We were told it would be 6-8 wks but HSL surpassed itself by it arriving just over 4 weeks. Delivery was excellent and service both at store & home was exceptional. Thank you

Visiting Milton Keynes store and was looked after by a dedicated shop assistant.She did superb job guiding us through options with great knowledge and patience. Actually went through a process going through different ranges, and at the end, changed the required colour. Now eagerly awaiting delivery so I can sit in comfort

Showroom experience was fine. Sofa is fine. Delivery terrible especially since they target the elderly generation. The delivery people left the settee in mums garage because they said they could not get it through the back door. I then had to travel up and get the settee into the house. It took me about 4 minutes to do it with a mate. Neither of us are furniture removal people. It was simple to get the settee into the house.
Avoid if you have to engage your brain for about 30 seconds manoeuvre to get the sofa in.

Assessment of our needs fully evaluated. Chairs met all our expectations, prompt delivery by polite drivers. Carefully set up in requested positions.

The 3 people who visited me arrived on time, with a similar chair to the one I’d chosen. They were all so helpful, giving me honest answers to my questions. They were skilled and knew exactly what they were doing. I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone needing such a chair.

I bought a Buckingham Chair with The Strawberry Thief patterned cover. I had to contact Customer service to hold off on delivery until I returned from holiday which they did. Delivery was excellent and the chair was brought into the house. The cover on the chair was highly patterned and it had been matched up meticulously

Choosing experience was excellent. Tanya (MK) was knowledgable and very helpful. Confirming the order by telephone was not so good as the person couldn’t find the paper quotation copy or apparently on the system initially. So had to be called back. Paying by telephone was simple.
Initially I was very disappointed that I couldn’t choose a delivery date to suit me as my house was being renovated after a flood and I am living elsewhere. I asked if it could be delivered asap after 30/7 but was told they couldn’t give me a date until delivery was planned and it could be the following week. In fact the delivery by Ian and Paul on 31/7 was excellent and perfect timing for my move back.

This is the 3rd time that they have visited
On this occasion it was to have another persons view on what I was intending
Tania and Johnny both gave me there unbiased opinion
Needless to say I placed an order for anew bed and 2 fireside chairs

The sales person who dealt with us was very knowledgeable about the products available. She gave us good advice without being pushy or condescending. This allowed us to come to a positive decision on which product to buy.

Spent most of an afternoon trying out various recliner chairs. Staff were very helpful and informative and allowed us to take our time and reach a decision without any pressure. They explained all the various prices and options and were very patient when we kept changing our minds. We eventually decided on two Stressless recliners which have just been delivered and we are delighted with them.
