Dishonest Hosting Site
Company bought Hostmysite.com. Never communicated with me about that change and charged my credit card double the amount I was paying previously. Fraudulent and illegal to do that. Then they took my website down. They were very nasty about it when I spoke to them. Stay away.
Robbers
This co. bought a previous web hosting co.
There was never any correspondence, invoices, receipts or communication of any type. Only charges on the credit card statement.
They continue to charge our credit card for web hosting when we've told them on the phone and via email to discontinue the service and charges. They don't respond and there is no answer when you call them. Once when I was able to speak with someone they told me they cannot reverse the charges. I don't know how to get them to stop. They never send any correspondence, invoice, receipt etc.. You only find out when you check your credit card statement. I have reported it as fraud to my C.C. co and will have a new card issued with a new account # They have done this for two years now. if you look for reviews there are hundreds of them, all bad including on the BBB website.
SALES DEPT DOESN'T CARE!!!
I have been trying to speak to their sales people for several DAYS!!!! I call the sales number and I connect to Tech Support everytime. I call during business hours and the Techs tell me they can help me until I describe the issue, and then they say, "You need to speak to Sales, I will have them call you!!!" Then the Sales Dept DOES NOT CALL. I get 5-6 more calls from my client yelling at me because this is NOT DONE!! I call back and the same thing happens again.

I have been using Hostway about 25 years
I started using Hostway about 25 years ago when they were known as MyHosting out of Canada. I have always been able to resolve any issues quickly if and when I had them. Hostway has been a solid and reliable support team for my webhosting needs.

We used Hostway for over 30 YEARS and never had an issue with them, only good experiences. Our company recently closed and I called them on October 15, 2025 and informed them about the closure and they said that they would take the automatic credit card billing off of our account. They confirmed this in 2 emails, yet they just billed us $239.40 and now they are refusing to reimburse. They claimed I called 3 times on October 30, 2025 to cancel, then renew, then cancel. This is a lie. I called once about the charge which they said they would pro-rate. They said if I wanted to save my old emails I could. I told them I had to discuss this with my manager and would call them back. My manager called back and the man then began to argue the charge and lied about our conversation, they are still refusing to reimburse. The man was extremely rude in both my and my managers conversations. Although we had been an loyal customer for over 30 years and never had a problem, the way they run their company is criminal. The reason I'm giving Hostway 2 stars is because when we used them it was great but this experience ruined it. Think before using them.
Unethical refund policy
Price for hosting service has increased almost 50% over the last 2 years ($149-$179-$215) and is significantly more than many, many other hosting services. Paid annual amount up front. Upon moving my hosting to another provider and cancelling, I was told that since it was more than 1 month after the billing, no pro-rated refunds are being issued per their policy. This is highly unethical and should at least have provided for a pro-rated refund. Stay far away from this business!

Tranferred in June after decades of no problems with Hostmysite. My site has been unavailable for most of the past 2 days and support has been very unhelpful. I really cannot recommend Hostway!
Fixed!
Needed to call on a few occassions this year. Issue always solved, questions on setup and accounts.
Highly reccomended.

Long time customer
I have been with Hostway since 2006. I hardly knew what I was doing back then. Hostway has been with me all these years. They are easy to contact and respond quickly. I have never had a problem that took more than one phone call to resolve. Excellent customer service. I use auto-pay and that makes it easy to keep up with the service. I don't know any company who does it better.
