All round great service
I was very impressed by my shopping experience with Hopkinson Cycles. This was my first purchase from the company.
I bought two Continental Ultra Sports tyres at a very good price. I ordered at lunchtime on Sunday and, as it was the weekend, expected a few days wait for delivery. I paid a bargain £2 delivery upgrade to speed the progress. I was informed at 6.30 next morning that my tyres were on their way. They arrived within 48 hours of placing the order. Exceptional service. Great communication too. I will certainly use Hopkinson Cycles again and have forwarded their web link to my cycling colleagues of which there are many. I am a trained bike mechanic with a lifetime's experience of cycling.
BTW: The tyres were just the job for my needs. Some reviewers have reported that fitting the tyres can be difficult - they're tight on wheel rims. I found that a thin line of hand gel (COVID leftovers even) will ease the tyre into place without the need for heavy duty leavers or brute force. Thanks again Nick & co.

Still waiting to receive an order placed 2 weeks ago, which was I told had been dispatched the following today. There is no tracking link provided, so it's impossible to know when my item will be received.

We've checked your order, which was placed on 19th May at 09.38am and dispatched promptly that afternoon. Royal Mail's tracking confirms it was delivered on 21st May at 10.36am , with GPS location data and a delivery photograph confirming it was delivered to the correct address.
We have not received any emails or messages from you regarding a non-delivery or any issues with this order, so we can only presume this review may have been left in error or relates to a different purchase.

Excellent customer service!
I ordered some chains from Hopkinson cycles, and received them quickly. However, they had made an error and sent a wrong one. I emailed them and Nick replied quickly to apologise and sent me a link for a paid return and dispatched the corrected chain using a 24 hour delivery service, which I received the next day!
Excellent customer service and great prices, I will definitely use again!

I am not happy with my purchase
I am not very happy with my purchase.
I bought a road bike tyre from them and the production time of the tyre was important for me, I called them and checked it with them, and they told me they can not see the date on the tyre but it should not be older that 2023.
I trusted and ordered the tyre, when I recieved I realised that it is 2020!!!
let's be more honest with the customers, it was very easy to tell me the correct date.

Thanks for the feedback — although we’re a little surprised by it, given how cautious and honest we were on the phone!
You rang and asked about the tyre’s production date. It was myself who spoke to you, and I clearly explained that I couldn’t guarantee an exact date as Firstly i couldn't see any on the tyre. Secondly, due to how fast we rotate stock, even if we gave a date from one tyre, the next one out the door could be from a different batch. In fact.. I even suggested NOT buying the tyre from us if the date was a dealbreaker, and instead advised you to check in person at your local shop!!!
You ordered anyway, ignored my advice, and then acted shocked when the tyre didn’t come with a certificate of freshness like a pack of M&S chicken.
That’s not dishonesty Dr

Used before. Just got Schwalbe Marathon plus mtb tyre. Great price, decent website, always seem to have stock, Express delivery was only£2 (free otherwise)- overall excellent all round.
