I messed up and set my child up on…
I messed up and set my child up on wrong level had all wrong materials, reached out to customer service via text and within a half hour or so I had a live person texting back! Very kind and took care of my issues at no cost to us. I highly recommend Hooked on Phonics for numerous reasons, customer service being up at a close second. Thank you all for caring🙏🏼

Not horrible but could be better
It’s ok. We’re going to try another program. Hooked on Phonics moves too fast. There were a handful of words for reading that don’t follow the typical rules so my child was unable to pronounce them.
Some of the math area is tricky because there’d be a 2 step process. He would have the number right but get it wrong because he didn’t tap another line of items to count out and that tapping required more taps than what was being added/subtracted because you needed to tap last on the number that was the answer(5-5 for example if you tapped 10-6 and put in 5 you were wrong because you needed to last tap on 5 the answer and type in 5, but the counting you already tapped 5 out from 10-6).

There isn't enough time spent on sigh words
There isn't enough time spent on sight words. They're just thrown at us and then move on to the next word family. There should be sight words games and practices just like there is with the other word families.
Very disappointed with the lack of sight words support.

Great paper and app combo
My daughter really enjoys using the app and the printed workbooks. She moves quicker on the app. We also have a subscription to math and spelling.

The games are fun and engaging
The games are fun and engaging and actually teaching the corresponding sounds, the workbooks every month are helping my little guy get the shapes of letters and work on his writing skills, and he loves each and every book he receives.

I've loved your program
I've loved your program. It really helps the girl I was tutoring, and she even chooses to do it (every so often) on her own time. I am unable to help this girl continue weekly because she is busy and has a mental disorder that causes violent outbursts when stressed. My one complaint is that I wish the system were able to match how far along the progress is and base the shipment on that, rather than relying on consistency
