Survey was of a reasonable standard, completed faster than expected (less than two weeks) was cheaper than competitors, and availability was better than competitions. Other surveyors were quoting 4 weeks and more like 1000 pounds for a level 3 survey. Honeywell was more like 600 and completed in less than 2 weeks.

The quoted prices of repairs seemed a little inflated (my father who has some experience in this area said they were around twice the market rate) but this might be of value for negotiation. I don't fully understand the different negotiation games and the value of having over of underestimates for costs.

Some of the "you should get a qualified X to check the house before purchase" was a bit tiresome - but I guess part of the point of getting a surveyor is having someone to sue so they are just disowning responsibility. I do not think many people actually get their house checked for asbestos wall paper and the risk of notweed prior to sale.

I’m very happy with the service from Honeywell Survey & Design. The survey report was extremely detailed but written in a way that was easy for me to understand, even as someone without much technical knowledge. The whole process was efficient, and the surveyor was approachable and helpful. Thank you for the great work — I would definitely recommend your service to others.

I don’t usually leave reviews but can’t thank Honeywell enough for a brilliant service from initially booking with Kathryn to receipt of such a detailed level 3 RICS report produced by Luke. Great service from start to finish at an unbelievably competitive price. They were more than happy to talk through the report and provided us with additional support when specific issues arose with our mortgage lender. Wouldn’t hesitate in using them again or recommending them to anyone. Thank you again for all your support!

We asked Honeywell Survey and Design Ltd to do a survey of a Grade 2 listed building. They offered a full survey at a reasonable price and as part of that they sent an example survey which was impressive. And the resulting survey, of 120 pages, was indeed up to that very high standard. It was comprehensive and detailed - and explained their findings in learning and understandable language. They offered their advice on the most significant issues needing attention. But before that, we had chance to speak to the surveyor immediately after his inspection - which was very valuable.The only minor issue was the slight delay in delivering the final report. But that is to niggle. We were very satisfied.

The whole process was quick and easy from start to finish. Kathryn was friendly and helpful and she was extremely responsive to all my emails, which was excellent. The survey was thorough and concise. It was easy to choose Honeywell as right from enquiry stage, I felt they were very open and experienced. I would definitely recommend them.

Clear and concise communication. Fee was clearly given as part of the initial quote and payment process was simple and receipt quickly confirmed.

Initially a little wait for the appointment however was moved forward due to a cancellation.

Survey report well laid out and and helpful for things I should consider / fix.

We recently had a level 3 survey carried out by Patrick on a property in Barnsley which was extremely helpful. We decided to use Honeywell after receiving a competitive quote and more so by reading their amazing reviews and I can see why! Patrick took a lot of time at the property, a large old Victorian house he spent around 6 hours there, and went in to extreme detail on the report which also highlighted a lot of areas which needed attention. You can tell Patrick takes pride in his work and is very experienced as he could even offer the best cause of action for most cases. He gave me a call straight after the survey and gave me the brief summary/any major problems and talked me through anything he thought needed immediate attention. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Honeywell survey & design and we will definitely be using them again in the future! Thanks again Patrick.

Had a great experience from the beginning of the process. The communication was excellent, the report we received was very thorough - complete with photos and explanations of issues we should address prior to purchasing the property. I was also able to have a discussion regarding some additional questions with our surveyor afterwards. The turnaround time of the results was also fast. I would highly recommend!

I was really impressed with Honeywells. I chose them as a reasonably priced, local company and I'm very happy I did. The team were responsive and helpful and the level 3 survey was fantastic. It was thorough and detailed, gave really good context about older Sheffield building and explanations about why they were recommending specific things. They called immediately after to go through the main points and also offered to follow up when I got the survey through. Would highly recommend.

I enquired with honeywell survey and designs earlier in the year to do a survey for me prior to purchasing my first house. They were easy to communicate with and completed the survey and got back to me in a great time frame. I was so impressed with their service I returned to them recently for another survey after the original house fell through.

We recently had a survey on our bungalow with this company level 2 , & we were very pleased, the report was very thorough with lots of photos & was kept informed every step of the way , we would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting a survey.

We recently got a level 3 survey done for an old cottage we're buying, we got the survey back within a week. It was incredibly detailed with detailed and clear information on problems with the house, how to fix them and cost estimates. Photos and sketches were provided to help visualise the issues and overall great attention to detail was provided. We couldn't recommend choosing Honeywell more!

Company were friendly with great communication. The Lvl 2 survey appointment was made promptly and the surveyor was also friendly, helpful, asked pertinent questions and sent a very thorough and detailed report back within 7 days.

Having been seriously failed in the past by another Barnsley based Building Surveyor I made the decision to use Honeywell Survey & design Ltd from their excellent reviews. We had an L3 survey for a 3 bed semi from 1930s in Leeds. Good service and communication - detailed and thorough report, and open to discussing it over the phone for an easier digest.

I instructed this company based off of reviews on Trust Pilot and they did not disappoint. Great communication from start to finish and the survey was outstanding. I went for a L3 survey as the property to be surveyed was old and the detail in the report was exceptional.
