Holidays Gems are sending me to a construction site in Egypt. Park Regency have extensive ongoing works and have shut down the main hub of the leisure area which consists of the lazy river. I have obtained pictures and they have dismissed and ignore them in countless e-mails back and forth. Offered (under protest) a cheaper hotel with no refund or compensation or, go and just takes some pictures. I did not expect to pay £3,000 for a construction site and then basically told 3 days before i go away, they are not going to do anything. In their own words "Unfortunately, we are not able to offer an open-ended hold or provide a partial refund in advance of travel, as the situation has not been deemed a significant change and no financial adjustment has been authorised by the supplier." 50% of the facilities are either, shut down completely, have unacceptable noise levels, dust and debris everywhere as reported by the hotel guests yet, Holiday Gems deem this 'not significant'. To top it off, they are not ABTA bonded therefore, can get away with anything they want. Buyers beware. Not only are they forcing me to go 'under protest' their sustomer service and reservations team couldn't give a damn. They'll happily take you money though...

Martin the agent that dealt with our booking was excellent and very helpful with our booking experience, he was a joy to book with and we felt confident booking with Holiday Gems.

Martin was really helpful sorting a last minute get-away, and looked for alternatives and the best option.

I've booked with Holiday Gems a few times now due to them being more competitive price wise but, although I've not had any issues once finalised. Every time I've secured a price online they have rang the following day stating some sort of an issue with the price attempting to increase it, I fell for it the first time but, stood my ground every other time and it has remained the same.

Sam was very helpful, kind and professional. Experience has been great 😌

1st time booking with Holiday gems, Martin was very helpful, explaining the whole process to me, then after I received my documents by email he phoned to make sure I had everything, and details were correct. Although price was more expensive than the online price, still cheaper than other rivals.

Stuart was great from start to finish made the process of booking our holiday so simple and easy! Thank you so much, we can’t wait to travel counting the days down!

I 'booked' the holiday and selected to pay the full amount. I was then called 2 days later by an agent who then went through each element of the holiday (flights, accommodation, transfers) and told me yes they were still available. He then said, 'so that'll just be another £31 per person to pay'. I told him I was very confused as I'd booked with them 2 years ago and didn't have this and he said it's his they operate and most people don't mind paying extra. I told him to cancel the holiday (out of principle more than anything) and he told me to wait while he would see what he could do. He came back on the phone and said because I was an existing customer, he could honour the original price.
When I originally booked, I saw nothing saying that the price might not end up being as advertised, but when I went back and looked through the FAQs it did say it could change. Next time, I'll phone straight away to make sure it's booked there and then, rather than 'order' the holiday to have it confirmed later on.

Martin was very helpful in organising our trip to Portugal. He helped us to find a suitable resort to meet our needs and talked us through the booking process each step of the way over the phone. Follow up documents arrived promptly

So far so good, holiday booked (no pain there) deposit paid (a little pain there) confirmation from SAM within the hour. The most pleasant of ladies, who confirmed our flights and times with our extra leg room, our hotel, accommodation and board. That time between booking and confirmation can be very stressful, but Sam was on the ball, very pleasant and understanding of my requirements including my hearing impairment.

Martin was friendly and helpful when confirming our holiday. Would 100% recommend Holiday Gems and dealing with Martin was really easy-a great Holiday Gems asset

There was good and bad. In regards to there service I had no issues, they gave me all the information I needed. It was all upfront.

However the flights were delayed. On the way there and the way back. Unhappy with that, especially as I was travelling with two kids!
