We had a fantastic experience with Highland Roamers and wouldn't hesitate to rent a campervan from them again!

From start to finish, our communication with Ross was brilliant, and he answered all our questions and provided a thorough demonstration of everything for us. The van had everything we could possibly need; you really just can turn up with your clothes, food, and off you go! From towels, to kitchen-ware, dish-washing cloth and liquid, and first aid kits, the van is so well-equipped! The weather was quite cool but we didn't have to worry about being cold, there are plenty of blankets and the diesel heater was really effective.

The van is also dog-friendly so we were delighted to be able to bring along our four-legged friend for the trip.

We created amazing memories and can't wait to hire again!

Booked 2 nights away in glen roamer. Whole process was easy. Upon arrival of picking the van up Ross was great from start to finish, clearly explaining & demonstrating every single thing on the van. Van was spotless. Unfortunately we had to cut our trip short. After messaging Ross nothing was a hassle, made the whole experience enjoyable and an ease. What a great friendly gent Ross is. Will definitely be booking again in the future. 10/10.

I hired the Glen roamer for myself and my two Sons aged 12 and 8 for 1x night to try out a campervan break as a single parent. We didn’t go far & booked in to Comrie Croft. We had an amazing time on the bike trails.
The boys and I loved the van, it had everything we needed, it was cosy and clean and more importantly “looks so cool”. The boys loved sleeping up in the bunk hearing the birds and running stream next to our pitch overlooking the skills trail.
Ross put me at ease with a thorough walk through at collection and reassuring me that he could be contacted at any time (which I didn’t need to do). It has really boosted my confidence to book a longer trip and travel further & I’ll definitely book with highland roamers again. Thank you Ross.

Me and my partner booked for Easter weekend and done part of the nc500! The booking was seamless from start to finish Ross was so helpful and accommodating the whole trip. I couldn’t recommend them enough. The van is spotless and has everything you need for your trip! Will be booking again in the summer!

Me and my partner recently took a trip to the Scottish highlands in the glen roamer as our first big adventure together. We had the most amazing experience (despite the weather) and this was majorly down to highland roamers. The camper van itself was in perfect condition, comfortable and came with everything we needed and more! As for the company and Ross himself, we couldn’t have supported a better business. Ross was so kinda and accomodating and really went the extra mile to ensure we were comfortable and made the best of our experience.

We hired both vans for a girls’ weekend away in March, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. Ross was extremely friendly and gave us a warm welcome when we arrived to collect the vans. He took the time to walk us through everything in detail, so we felt completely confident before setting off.

Both vans were immaculate, well-organised, and fully equipped with everything we could possibly need. It was clear that a lot of thought had gone into the small touches—dishwashing supplies, tea and coffee, and more—which really made a difference. The optional add-ons were a great bonus and made the whole trip feel like a cosy home away from home.

We headed to Arrochar for our adventure, and the vans were fun and easy to drive. Although the weather was typically Scottish—windy and rainy, with only a brief appearance from the sun—we stayed warm, dry, and comfortable throughout.

While we didn’t get the chance to use the fire pit or paddleboards, we were very grateful for the dry robes after an icy dip in Loch Long! Cooking in the van was easy too—we made chilli and rice for dinner, and sausage, bacon, and eggs for breakfast. The fridge had plenty of space for all our food (and wine!).

We had a fantastic weekend and have already booked the vans again for later in the year—next adventure pending! Thank you Highland Roamers!

We rented the Glen Roamer in February, which was perhaps a bit rash. But we had a wonderful time. The van was spotless and Ross explained everything until we were happy we knew what we were doing. Everything was snug and cosy. We found a scenic place to park in Port Appin, just outside the wonderful Pierhouse, and even teased out some sunshine for our walks. Now we've bought our own!!

Lovely vans and super friendly service from Ross at Highland Roamers. Used both vans for a long weekend of astronomy down in Galloway. Weather wasnt what we wished but the vans were great! Throughout the whole process, Highland Roamers were fantastic, always helpful, always had the right info. Would recommend

Exploring the Scottish Highlands with the Glen Roamer (the orange Highland Roamers van) was an unforgettable experience. The positive impression started weeks before the actual road trip, as Ross was consistently friendly, helpful, and supportive throughout the preparation. Communication was smooth, and we felt well looked after from the very beginning.

We received the van in excellent condition and settled into van life quickly. Since we were traveling in November, we were initially a bit concerned about the temperatures, but after two weeks on the road, we can confidently say that this was never an issue. The heating system worked reliably and kept us warm whenever needed.

The compact kitchen with two hobs was surprisingly practical, and we ended up cooking almost every day. Despite the limited space, we ate very well and found the setup more than sufficient for longer travels. The bed was comfortable, and the additional bedding provided was warm and cozy, which made a big difference during colder nights.

Living on just two square meters can certainly be challenging, but thanks to the well-equipped van provided by Highland Roamers, it became part of the adventure rather than a limitation. The vehicle allowed us to explore a large and beautiful part of Scotland comfortably and independently.

Overall, everything worked smoothly, questions or small issues were resolved quickly, and we always felt safe and comfortable with the van. I can highly recommend Highland Roamers and would happily rent from them again.

We spent 14 days exploring the Isle of Skye and the full NC500 in a Highland Roamers campervan — and it was honestly one of the best travel experiences we’ve ever had. From the very beginning, Ross was amazing: friendly, supportive, quick to reply, and genuinely excited for our trip. You can feel how much heart he puts into his business, and that makes all the difference.

We travelled in november, so we were a bit worried about the cold and about sleeping comfortably for two full weeks. But with the premium bedding add-on, the bed was shockingly comfortable. And the heater? More than enough! Even on freezing nights in the Highlands, the van stayed cosy and warm the whole time.

The van had everything we needed: a proper little kitchen (where my boyfriend easily cooked FULL meals), space to relax, and all the essentials for life on the road. It turned the Isle of Skye and NC500 into a true adventure — waking up by lochs, watching sunsets from the bed, and having complete freedom to stop anywhere and explore.

If you’re dreaming of a Scottish road trip, Highland Roamers is the way to go, highly recommended. And a big thanks to Ross for making the whole journey effortless and memorable. 🚐✨ We will definitely be coming back to take Glen for another round!

I was truly blown away with the Adventure packages available, dryrobes, wetsuits, backpacks, paddleboards- and more!!! They really have it all covered you can rock up with your luggage and your good too go! There website also has the perfect road trips set out and ready to go.

The van is extremely comfortable with a diesel heater meaning you can be cosy all night long- even in November! Tried and tested! Not to mention the facilities to cook amazing meals and wash up be able to wash up afterwards and make a fresh coffee 👌

The bed and bedding was super comfy with an added mattress topper, and blackout covers for all the windows i slept like a baby. The pop up roof allows more space in the van and the room to sleep, chill and take in the views with the cover opened up you can lye and take it all in

To say this has been my favourite hire to date is an understatement- being off grid adventure ready means no reliance on any facilities! Heat and power without the need to hook the van up! Oh and...A fire pit and camp chairs that make for the perfect set up for smores every night at sunset 👌

I have always been hesitant to hire a campervan as I was worried about trying to manoeuvre on single track roads. We rented Glen roamer this weekend and had a great time. It was a perfect size as we were able to navigate everywhere we wanted to go without causing a traffic jam, while being comfortable and big enough inside. It was a sunny but very cold weekend and there was enough space to enjoy hanging out in the van. Had a great sleep too on the cosy bedding and mattress. I was away with friends this time but planning a trip with my partner next year. Would highly recommend, thanks

Another sensational adventure with Highland Roamers, this is the second time exploring Scotland in the camper-van and it won’t be the last. So many more adventures planned. Highland Roamers make it easy and accessible to visit remote locations allowing you to get off the beaten path and explore scotland. What’s not to love. A perfect weekend getaway in any season.

We took our van to Glen Coe on a clear, crisp November weekend for hill walking, cold water dipping and cosy pubbing. The van was easy to use, so clean, and equipped with everything we needed - cooking utensils, fridge, bedding, dry robes etc. loved it! Will definitely book again.
