DO NOT order from Herbsfordetox.com!
Throughout the last five years I have dealt with Herbsfordetox.com and its sister site, the European branch of Ourbotanicals.com, numerous times. Sadly, my experience has been uniformly appalling.
NB: This is NOT a review of the herbs, teas, or tonics sold on Herbsfordetox, which work great, in my opinion. This is only a review of the experience ordering these products through Herbsfordetox.com (and the European branch of Ourbotanicals.com, which is run by the same seller).
So, where to start? Before my order this June I hadn't ordered anything through Herbsfordetox since 2017. Why? Because my experiences with this company were so bad that I always picked an alternative. Unfortunately, since Brexit, the seller I had found in the UK, although reliable and pleasant to deal with, is no longer a financially viable option for me.
Back to Herbsfordetox.com I went. And what a mistake. All the bad memories came flooding back with the first email from the seller, a Mr. Raymond Obi.
This time I was sent two items which were lost by the Danish mail carrier PostNord. I contacted them with the tracking number and they confirmed this. However, when I contacted Mr. Obi about it, the items I was missing were out of stock. Instead, he offered to refund me 50% of the cost for these. I insisted on a 100% refund since that is what I’m entitled to under European consumer law (which he didn’t seem to know about/understand).
I’m currently still waiting for the refund, and it only took seven (!) emails and my threatening to report him to the European Consumer Centre for him to agree to it... Time will tell if this is necessary in the end.
This is just the most recent of bad experiences with Herbsfordetox.com, and especially with Mr. Obi. One of the more memorable times was when I received a product with a misprinted label, I politely asked Mr. Obi whether I could be sure that this was in fact a genuine Dr. Morse product. He was furious at this “accusation” and replied angrily that he was “offended” that I would even ask this question (??)...
On several occasions I was also sent the wrong product, for which I was blamed, and as a conclusion to our last correspondence in 2017 I was told never to order from Herbsfordetox or Ourbotanicals again. Well, I have learnt my lesson now, and I promise I’ll never, ever do it again.
All in all, Herbsfordetox.com and its sister site, which is operated by the same Mr. Raymond Obi, have appalling customer service, which is both arrogant, incompetent, and, frankly, unlawful.
DO NOT order from here unless you are prepared to deal with the kinds of issues described above (but if you already have, DO NOT be panned off with a partial refund or voucher if you are entitled to something else - file a complaint through your national European Consumer Centre).
