Put the price up considerably

Put the price up considerably, around 30% increase with no warning. Cancelled subscription as they are jumping on the inflation bandwagon with next to no new content provided. Total ripoff

Customer loyalty is none existent.

I had noticed that my monthly subscription kept increasing when the quality of shows is pretty poor compared to other streamers. I was quite happy paying the £7.99 pcm, but like I say, it kept increasing without any communication, so I went on to cancel the subscription. You can imagine my surprise to see there were now various subscription options, all cheaper than the one they were billing me for. How bizarre! And whilst I was tempted to just change my subscription to the lower amount, on principle alone with how sneaky they were with what they were charging me and assuming I wanted the premium (I've been subscribed that long, when I signed up there was only one subscription choice). I never received any communication that the policies had changed and I could half my monthly bill. So I have cancelled and can't say I'll miss it. They also always offer great deals to new customers and nothing for the ones that have been paying for years. Customer loyalty, who?

How can a streaming service go from $60…

How can a streaming service go from $60 the first year to an increase of $10 each additional year which is a bit reasonable. But this year it went from $90 last year to $158 for the year, that's ridiculous. If next year there's a drastically increase I will cancel my subscription and not renew any more.

The "message" is more important than quality content.

Remember when Disney used to be good? Those days are long gone. I've enjoyed watching the classic films with my children, but can no longer tolerate a company who uses it's new, WEAK content as a vehicle to push it's woke agenda down mine and my children's throats. Keep bombing at the box office Disney. Can't wait for Snow White 😬.

Arrgh why can't I give half or zero stars??!!
I pay over £20 a month for this and from day 1 of singing up years ago it's never improved... but hey it's Disney, they are more than likely not going to bother fixing their streaming site cause they've already made a fortune!! Unless everyone cancels, maybe, just maybe they will improve or even fix their ruddy AWFUL streaming site!!!!

I stupidly purchased Disney plus sub for a year in Aug 2023. The shows are awful. Star wars was ruined with their latest movies. So much so, I was not compelled to watch any series, including mandalorian or obiwan, etc. Marvel has gone down a strange path. And this new SnowWhite... now pushed to 2025.

I tried to cancel my sub and get my money back for the remaining 9-10 months, but they refused.

Disney know their agenda pushing is getting in them in trouble. Blackrock and vanguard own majority stocks, so they're pushing a lot of those a long. Best to stay clear, as a consumer, actor or film studio

They just killed Dr Who, but BBC let them. Netflix is agenda pushing too. Time to get back in the cinema and support original movies rather than remakes/rehash.

Disney+ Is the new Netflix, don't be put off by the name i thought the same disney must be all kids stuff I was far from right, it has so much to offer from kids to adults series and box sets and alot more than Netflix without the servers going down unlike Netflix sign up today you won't be disappointed

Just resubscribed to be hit with the new £10.99 per month to get the same as it was when it was £7.99 still no new films or new content. Same old cräp! Paid for one month so I could watch home alone etc for Christmas. The quality is terrible! What is going on with Disney. Won't be renewing. This is corporate greed as usual.

Never again

Never again! Subscribed for their £4.99 plan with adds. We watched the ads and started watching the movie. My son accidentally lent on the remote and turned it off so go turn it on to continue the movie. The app then tells us there’s a problem with our privacy settings and me must up grade. After contacting customer services we got told the our devices an LG tv and a new apple ipad COULD NOT support the £4.99 deal! If this is the case why did it play adverts when we first singed up! With 6 very disappointed children in the middle of watching a film we had no choice but to upgrade to a more premium package. I feel like our family has been cornered and bullied into paying more money for their service. Disney IT IS DISGUSTING! I WILL NOT be recommending them to my friend and family and DISNEY IF YOU CANT PROVE A SERVICE THEN DON’T OFFER IT!

Only had as a free trial

Only had as a free trial. Buffers all the time, lip sync is always behind. Slow and laggy. Hard to navigate. Some great shows and some rubbish ones. Would never pay for it and it's a shame to the Disney's name.

Disney MINUS- Waste of time and money

Renewed subscription for a month after a gap of 12 months very little new content. Star Wars Ahsoka another poor storylineike all the other spin offs from Disney.
Marvel the sane Disney just blanding out stories that lack any edge.
Never ever subscribing to Disney + again

Subscribed 3 months ago for £7.99/mth via Sky. Didn’t really use it so cancelled a week ago (they don’t make it easy to cancel - had to call
Sky and wait for ages on a queue). Then I get an email today saying my subscription has gone up to £10.99/mth…what a joke. Avoid at all costs.

Decline of Disney Plus - look at their market value

Poor range of selection - you can tell it is made for specific types of people. Very politically biased during certain times and pushes harmful propaganda.
Disney has been known countlessly for its poor connection. From a big company it took too much of a long to fix. Takes extremely long just to move backward to fast forward through a scene. Netflix and Amazon Prime are far better at this. This is to do with how poor Disney’s compression algorithm is, as it takes significantly more bandwidth than Netflix. This effects how the quality of certain video images decline so quickly.
The payment for the membership itself has fluctuated so much in the past. Disney really is diluting its market. They either price their membership as high of a minimum as £15 a month or low as £4. Their pricing schemes are very bad.
Disney on an investors standpoint has done very poorly during the past 10 years, I wonder why. Since starting the streaming service, they have managed to lose earnings. Instead of the CEO fixing his own problem of cutting market share prices, he decided to fire 7000 workers. It was also attempted to get rid of certain movies and film earlier on in the year. This has not seemed to help the company at all as how it was thought to have done, referring back to the poor selection of movies. I am very disappointed in this poorly run company.

Turn it off and on again

Woeful service. The best customer service can offer is to 'turn it off and on again' or uninstall the app. Keeps getting stuck on a splash screen asking if I want to start streaming.. Yes. I do. Stop asking.
