Über Doyouspain habe ich einen Wagen bei HelloCar Antalya gebucht. Um sicher zu sein mit Rundum Sorglos Paket von DoyouSpain. Dafür hat Doyouspain abkassiert. In der Türkei, tief in der Nacht, 5 km vom Flughafen mitten im Nirgendwo wurde mir dann erzählt, meine Kreditkarte funktioniert nicht oder wäre nicht ausreichend gedeckt um einen Kaution zu hinterlegten.
Bei Doyouspain konnte ich niemand erreichen, nach 22 Uhr. Also blieb mir (und meiner Familie) mir nichts anderes übrig, als für den vielfachen Preis eine Versicherung bei HelloCar zu kaufen, die dann natürlich problemlos mit meiner Kreditkarte bezahlt werden konnte. Einer anderen Familien ging es am Vortag genauso, ist also systematische Abzocke.

Wegblijven !!! Pure oplichting! Onze Mastercard werd zogezegd geweigerd voor de borg te blokkeren . Andere kaart visa wouden ze zelfs niet proberen . Zodus verplicht om 150 euro verzekering te nemen.anders werd onse reservatie gecanceld . Echt scam !

We booked the car through carjet. This was simple, good communication etc. We paid for premium insurance and also for added peace of mind obtained uk insurance for whilst we were there to avoid any possible insurance scams and try to not give you your deposit back. However on being picked up at the airport by hello renta car, they took us to their office in the middle on nowhere, at 11pm at night and kept our luggage locked in their car. They then stated that the holding payment for the deposit could not be paid with our credit card. I tried 3 different cards and again theyclaimed it could not be paid. They gave us the only option of paying their insurance for £290 and we could then take the car. We had no option. Pouring down with rain, in the middle of nowhere and our luggage locked in the car. It appears from other reviews that this is common in Turkey, but the agents like carjet should not use these companies.

Total scam company avoid avoid avoid ! They pretend that deposit of the mastercard is not working. Then they try to sell you the expensive insurance (without deposits) using the same master card.
When we refused this proposal the guy locked us up in the office and went away saying he would leave us inside during the night. My baby and wife started crying and the guy started shouting - we called the police and at the end we got away. Avoid this company please!

The vehicles you had were very clean, young and beautiful. Your staff was very friendly. I will rent from you every year.

Die Masche ist, vorzutäuchen, dass die Kreditkarte die Kaution nicht genehmigen würde und dann einen wesentlich höheren Preis zu fordern, welcher sich dann ohne Probleme mit der gleichen Karte bezahlen lässt.
Finger weg - nur Ärger!

We were made to wait for pick up for over 30 minutes. When we finally made it to the office we were met with hostility. They first tried to scam us into buying their insurance by claiming my card had declined without even asking for the PIN. When I insisted they try another card the same thing happeend again. Without asking for PIN the card was declined. They tried to sell me the insurance but I advised them I was fully insured as I had taken full insurance. The guy would not budge and insisted that I buy their overpriced insurance as there was no other way to get out of the area late at night so I eneded up paying for their insurance. I was then taken to the car which was already pretty bashed up. there were bumps and scratches all over the car. My son instantly made a video of the whole car ensuring the agent was also on the video handing over the keys. This really did put a damper on the start of the holiday. I contacted my card provider the next day and they advised that no payment was attempted!! Avoid Hellocars if possible and dont fall for their scam!!

I really enjoyed the complete service. Really professional and they gave me almost a brand new car. Were very supportive throughout and customer service was also on top. Special thanks to Ali for bringing the whole experience to worth remembering. Would definitely recommend.

This company is an absolute scam. When I arrived late in the evening, they claimed my credit card was “not allowing holds,” even though I’ve used it for rentals worldwide without a single issue. Their only “solution” was to force me into buying their ridiculously overpriced premium insurance. It’s a classic bait-and-switch: cheap price online, then invented problems at the desk so you pay far more.

The car itself was a disaster — the engine warning light was on from the start and it was clearly badly maintained, making me feel unsafe driving it. The staff were dismissive, unhelpful, and only cared about squeezing more money out of me. This was one of the worst rental experiences I’ve ever had. Save yourself the stress and danger — avoid this company completely and stick to a reputable brand.

I went to the car rental office expecting a smooth process since I had already paid for full insurance through CarJet. To my shock, they demanded a €1100 deposit despite this. I handed them my credit card, which I have used internationally for 23 years without issue (France, Italy, Netherlands, Turkey, etc.). After a few attempts, they claimed my card was "blocked for international use," which is simply not true.

Then came the trap: they told me I could only rent the car if I paid €180 extra plus €10 for car wash – otherwise, no car. I was stranded in their office with my wife, son, and six suitcases, in the middle of nowhere. What choice did I have but to pay? In the end, I was forced to pay an extra €190 on top of what I had already agreed with CarJet.

When I asked how this nonrefundable €190 could possibly replace the deposit (which makes sense for car safety), they just repeated, "It’s policy." They also tried to scare me with warnings that even the smallest scratch would cost me hundreds in repairs.

To make things worse, the car they finally gave us was at least 10 years old, full of scratches, dents, and bumps. Absolutely nothing like what a professional rental service should provide.

This company are scammers, plain and simple. I reported everything to CarJet and asked them to remove this rental company from their website, but they have done nothing. That makes CarJet equally responsible for allowing such dishonest companies to operate under their platform.

For clarity: I am Turkish, living in the UK, and this all happened in Turkey. So no, this cannot be dismissed as a "language barrier" or misunderstanding.

Please beware: all the glowing reviews you see online are most likely written by the company’s staff or their friends. I strongly advise everyone to avoid HelloCar Rental, ABBY Rentals, and NATES Car Rental – they are the same company, and they prey on travelers.

Do not rent from these scammers. Save yourself the stress, money, and frustration.
