Ok prices but bad service, repairs and return policy. Stay away
On the surface when ordering my 3000€ BenQ w4000i projector, everything in the beginning went well. The payment was easy, website ok to use, and price decent. Also the order was shipped fast. However from day 1 I noticed a unusual mechanical buzzing noise coming from the intake fan from the left side, which is not supposed to be there.
After sending the projector back for a repair, one month of waiting, they didnt find anything, and sent the projector back. A month later, I noticed the projector started shutting itself down after being used on Brightest lightmode. After sending it again for a repair, a month later, they sent it back mentioning they have fixed the issue, tested the unit before sending it back, and replaced the fans and powerboard.
Immediately after testing I noticed the fault is still there. Not only this, I found out after investigating myself, that the only exhaust fan, was installed wrong way around, and instead of exhausting, it was intaking air, which must have been the overheating issue causing the previous problems.
After all these, and fighting with the customer service of Heimkino.de for two months to get a refund (which they denied, just asking me to send it again for a repair), they finally accepted.
I do not recommend buying here, as their repair services as well as customer service are clueless of the operation and possible faults with the projectors. Not only did they fail to notice the simply mis-installed fan two times, they failed to take accountability and allow me to return the faulty device, for a duration of three months. Due to these reasons, I highly recommend to stay away and order elsewhere. Also the wuality of the BenQ w4000i projector seems very bad after numerous similar reviews read from other users.
