The purchase to completion was 2 months longer than anticipated but not due to our estate agent Lola, she is very friendly and honest about what is going on. We felt that we could ring or pop in to see her and she was up to date with progress. I would like to thank her for her hard work and also the rest of the team at Hillsborough for helping us through the buying process.

Brilliant Service.
Really good communication and professional work from Paige and her colleagues. I used Haybrook, Gleadless, to buy my flat 5 years ago and used them again to sell it. I am very glad that I did, Would recommend to anybody thinking of buying or selling in the area to use them.

Unfortunately a 1 star rating is too high especially for the property manager.too long to explain everything but unprofessional and liars and costs you money. And definitely ignores you .

I asked for a valuation from 3 different estate agents, Haybrooks being one of them but chose to go with another agent purely based on price. When I spoke with Haybrooks to inform them this, the agent then slagged off my choice stating they're cheap for a reason and wouldn't sell my house anytime soon, which is pretty pathetic and very unprofessional. I wont name and shame the actual person though.
I’m currently looking to purchase a property and have made several enquiries via Haybrooks, yet haven't heard anything back from them. They're just being very petty because I didn't choose them to sell my property. I guess there's a reason why estate agents are ranked among the top 10 least trusted professions in the UK.

Frustrating to the bitter end
I hired Halbrook to let my property 2 years ago. I then decided to withdraw bc I experienced them as utterly incompetent. I had to pay a steep penalty for withdrawing from their full management service but that worth it. Anything to stop the pain of dealing with their incompetence. Two years down the line and am trying to recover the deposit from them, my tenant left without paying her last month rent, and the incompetence or lack of effort to resolve issues in a satisfactory way, has multiplied by ten. Its been two months and I am no where near recovering my money. They finally sent me a statement charging for things that were not declared 2 years ago, charging further for withdrawing from their service, for which I have already paid a hefty sum and to ad insult to injury no answers my emails or phone calls so I'm getting no where. Avoid at any and all cost.

We have recently agreed a sale on our property after 6 days on the market. Bianca visited us initially for a valuation, she was polite, pleasant and above all professional from start to finish. Very knowledgable on the housing market & explained the process to us making it seem less stressful that we imagined. After deciding to go ahead Bianca returned to take photographs and complete relevant paperwork, whilst being extremely helpful with any questions we had. Bianca was on hand to answer queries regarding the offers made on the property for which we were appreciative of. Outstanding service from beginning to end
The experience with Haybrooks was fantastic from the first phine call enquiry regarding the sale of our rental property. Excellent, efficient, helpful, friendly, responsive and organised sales team…
We currently rent a property through Haybrooks. We gave notice to terminate tenancy and leased with Haybrook Sales team to assist landlord sale of property.
All agents were polite, respectful, helpful, gave good notice for any visits required and responded to any enquires swiftly

Poor service and communication
I asked for a valuation from 3 different estate agents, Haybrooks being one of them. The valuer arrived as agreed and informed me that she was very inexperienced but would take down details and take photos which she would pass to her senior, who would contact me.
Weeks later and no contact was made. I therefore marketed my property with Blundells and the property sold in less than 2 weeks.
I’m currently looking to purchase a property and have made several enquiries via Haybrooks, emailing a request to view. No contact has been made. I therefore decided to go into my local branch last week and spoke with a gentleman who took all my details and agreed to arrange for me to view 3 properties tomorrow. I have tried to contact him several times and have left messages requesting a call back but have not received a call back. I kept the day free to view the properties as I need to buy quickly but assume that the viewings are not taking place tomorrow. I have no problem if the person has been unable to arrange the viewings but at the very least I could have been informed. This has definitely put me off wanting to purchase through Haybrooks as if they are this uninterested before you buy, what will the service be like once you have placed a bid. If the motivation isn’t there before they have your business then it sure as hell won’t be there after

The communication from Haybrooks…
The communication from Haybrooks Chapeltown is dreadful. In Chapeltown, there is a small team with a manager Emma, and Michael, the assistant manager. Michael sold my house, which wasn't a brilliant experience as he made minimal effort to write an appealing writeup to sell my property. However, this isn't my main complaint. I have a property rental business and looking to expand my portfolio. I reached out to Michael via email a couple of months ago to discuss my plans but didn't receive a reply. I bumped into him in the local Tesco car park a few days later, and I mentioned the email, which he confirmed that he had received, and he suggested he would reply.
I waited a couple more weeks and sent an email reminder but no reply. Then two weeks later, I sent a third email using the same email trail to ensure I sent it to the correct email address. Again no reply! I called their office and got through to their triage phone service. No reply! Then I finally got to the office and complained about the lack of replies. The lady I spoke to was Emily, who seemed offended that I dared to complain and reluctantly had the manager call me back. I talked through my requirements with Emma and asked her to get Michael to call me back. No reply! Today I called the office again and spoke to Michael. He said that he hadn't replied because I was rude to Emily!
Furthermore, my requirements didn't match his role within the business. I assumed that my looking to acquire several properties from an assistant manager responsible for selling properties on behalf of Haybrooks was a good starting point. However, I was wrong. Emma did give some helpful advice and suggested that their rental management was poor as Hillsborough managed it. She referred me to one of their competitors who solely deals with rental management in Ecclesfield.

An insight into Haybrook’s methods.
I’m confused, I’ve used PurpleBricks to sell my house who have posted it on Right Move and On The Market yet I’ve had cold calls from Haybrook only two days after asking me to sell with them. It went live midnight in the Thursday yet one call came two days later on the following Saturday and another from a different person on the Monday. The confusion is that I thought cold calling on mobile phones was something that took place 20 years ago! At least it’s probably around that time it last happened. No other estate agent does this, why does Haybrook? Bad form….. check you’re going with a reputable company before using Haybrook. Not recommended.

Our house on sale with a different…
Our house on sale with a different estate agent but keep getting calls every 2 days from haybrook asking if we want to sell with them I have said not atm our house only been up a couple of weeks then this morning 11th sept I got a call say I had requested a valuation on our house from them I never did this getting silly now haybrook know when you go with an estate agents that you are tied in for 20 weeks and believe me im not happy about that too 20 weeks not good anyway haybrook stop calling me I will contact you if I need to stop touting for business

Friendly, helpful, efficient and honest.
We are selling our first property so were very new to the whole process and quite nervous.
Bianca came to value the property and we instantly knew they were the right people to help us.
We liked their honest approach and the flexibility they offer to people that are selling the property through them. The house has been on the market for a week and it's already sold for higher than the guide price.
Good advice throughout the viewing and bidding process and always happy to help with any queries we had.
We plan to say in our next house for decades but if I were looking to buy or sell a property, they would be the first people we would go to.
