I recently have started to decipher documents from two archives in Germany. Two such documents date to 1724 and 1761.
I have had real success using handwritingocr . In fact, it has generally performed better than a couple of competing solutions. And, the prices are reasonable.
A brilliant transcribing and translating service. The transcriptions of old wills (back into the 1500s with writing that is almost unreadable to me) has been incredibly good with what I would think to be 99% accuracy (unlike other services I’ve tried) Highly recommended!!
I used Handwriting OCR to digitise a collection of handwritten documents that ordinary OCR tools couldn’t read accurately. Uploading the files was straightforward, and the results came back quickly with the original structure largely preserved.
A few faded words needed correcting, but the transcription saved me hours of manual typing. Exporting the finished text was simple, and I appreciated the clear privacy information about how uploaded documents are handled.
I’d recommend Handwriting OCR to anyone working with handwritten letters, notes, journals or archive material.
