I wanted to highlight excellent service over the past 2 years from the Enfield branch. In particular Chris Tebbutt and Kirti Mistry helped structure finance for a nonstandard (Huf) house construction. Their understanding of such projects and the needs of complex clients really made the difference. At a personal level, they are also very positive, energetic and great to deal with. Thanks also to Caroline Ramplin for excellent service and apologies to anyone I have missed. Although Chris has rotated into a different role, we look forward to dealing with his successors and will certainly be coming back for further banking needs.

I’ve dealt with the Enfield branch for around 15 years. I have always found Kirti, Mark, David, Garry and the team to be efficient, professional and great to communicate with. A bank that values relationships - invaluable.

I have been with handelsbanken for over ten years now . Over that time I have had the same relationship manager all the time . This has helped my company very much as continuity is key when making decisions. Kirti and her team have really supportive to me when other banks have failed to deliver.

The whole team at Enfield Branch are brilliant. I find them all to be extremely helpful and available to talk to. I have banked with them now for many years and I find that I receive a personal service which is worth more to me than anything else. David Kirti Raki and Thomas do a great job and I am very pleased to have them as my bank. Keep up the good work

20 years I’ve been with them… they have no place in 2024. It’s like going back to the 80s - it is so inefficient I am taking my (significant) business elsewhere. The account managers are just…. Useless!

As a growing real estate business operating in Central London, we were looking for a reputable bank to refinance the debt on one of our key property assets. We were put in contact with Handelsbanken via our broker and they have been a breath of fresh air from start to finish. They got up to speed quickly on our business and requirements and asked the right questions to get expedite the credit assessment. The terms offered were clear and competitive and the paperwork involved in respect of the facility was far simpler than that required by other lenders. Following the straightforward agreement of terms, the process of then completing the paperwork and the refinancing was exceptionally quick and efficient. After such a positive experience, we feel we have found a real supportive long-term partner in Handelsbanken and are looking forward to working with Hampstead branch team as we continue to grow our business.

If I could leave zero stars I would. These are a disgrace , they are incompetent beyond belief. They stole over £2000 from my account for a series of errors they made. They are crooks. Then they offered me £100 compensation. They have no morals, no ethics and no standards

I recently transferred my business account from Santander to Handlesbanken. The people at the Swindon branch could not have been more helpful. I recommend this bank. Incidentally I was with Santander for fifteen years and they have been totally hopeless.

Banking as it should be 😀

The manager of the Exeter Handelsbanken branch has been very helpful and attentive. I would not hesitate to recommend this bank for personal service. I enquired online about their financial products and very quickly received a call to discuss various options and suggestions.

I banked, as a business, with Handlebanken for 10 years. It was a mistake. Their systems are weak. Their staff are earnest well-meaning folk but don't do anything that wouldn't be better automated. I thought that persevering and banking in my local community was the right thing to do but it wasn't and I was wrong.

Bara att en bank har ett så gammaldags system där man måste besöka banken för att öppna ett konto säger allt.
Har man ett så lågt miljötänkande behöver man inte veta mer om hur illa stält det är.
Tyvärr tvingad pga jobbet att få tillgång till deras tjänster.
Kanske dags att kliva in i 2000 talet och lämna anno 1800 bakom sig.
Pinsamt dåligt.

Subject: Feedback on Hampstead Branch

I am writing to share our experience with your Hampstead branch over the past three years of our five-year relationship, culminating today when our loan matured.

While the lack of competitiveness in the market is concerning, the main issue we faced was the quality of your staff following the departure of the team that initially brought us to your bank.

The replacements were poor in so many ways and simply did not seem to care, which may reflect the general culture of the bank today.

The experience has been incredibly disappointing. The staff quality and service level have been poor, reflecting a less-than-professional attitude. Specific issues include:

- Unanswered emails
- Poor level of knowledge among staff
- Incompetent advice
- General incompetence in handling queries and requests

This is particularly surprising, especially when banks are actively competing for customers.

I am willing to provide more details about our experience if you are interested in addressing these issues. However, if not, I believe this will continue to negatively impact your customer satisfaction.

Update 23/10/24: Further to their answer below; Guess what!! they never bothered contacting me privately to find out more. Pathetic

Update 23/10/24: Your response only reinforces the impression of a poorly managed organisation. You should have been the ones that dealt with this not the ombudsman. And to your point regarding a new bank, that was never going to be a problem.

When you ring the bank they answer the phone and know you by name how marvellous is that. They go the extra mile with everything giving complete peace of mind. I you are thinking of moving banks - I can't recommend Handelsbanken highly enough. Thank Wrexham Branch

This bank needs to be investigated by the regulators. Avoid them at all costs.

Mycket nonchalant och väldigt otrevligt bemötande vilket fick oss att per omgående byta bank trots mycket lång relation.

Inte alls intresserade av att tänka framåt gemensamt utan istället bemötandet ”vi förstår inte alls hur ni tänker”.

Oprofessionellt är bara förnamnet.

I have contacted on two occasions now. All details given and what I was looking for. Never had a follow up call on each attempt. Terrible service.
