These chaps work incredibly hard with long hours. If boxes weren’t labelled they would stop and ask us.

Really surprised reading the reviews for this company as we had such a bad experience- not sure if we were just really unlucky, but then again nothing has been resolved when we complained about what had happened.

In run up to move in May 25 they were really helpful but v shortly after move it became clear that many of our belongings were quite badly damaged. Worst was our sofa that had cuts from Stanley knives in it where the boys had cut the protective plastic off of this when we had got to our new home. This was the most upsetting as they denied they had done this when clearly that's what had happened. Wardrobes, tables, chairs and many flowerpots and plants damaged as well as lots of smaller and quite sentimental items.

We looked at Hamiltons and Britannia but as Hamiltons had good reviews and was a few hundred pounds cheaper than Britannia we chose Hamiltons.

After we found the damage we reported this and went through their insurance which we had purchased but only received a very minimal amount which was actually not enough to cover the flower pots let alone the sofa, wardrobe, table and chairs. Very disappointed and wishing very much we had not used Hamiltons, definitely added a lot more stress and also disappointment to the week that we moved in. There was also a lot of low level damage and scrapes to the house as things were brought in. Still not quite got over them denying they had used knives to unpack the sofa. We understand that things go wrong but to deny damage that was clearly caused by them is very disappointing.

Always highly professional, Hamilton service is always on time and with a super helpful crew, who didn't hesitate to assist with all demands at the point of delivery. Excellent in all respects.

Organised, friendly and did a fantastic job! Couldn’t fault their service. 100% recommend Hamiltons and would use again in a heartbeat!

Hamiltons moved a part-load for me from the Midlands to South-west France in April 2025. The service could not have been better. All the staff - from Paul and Kerri in the office to the removers on both sides of the channel - were friendly, helpful and professional. The load was picked up and delivered at the times agreed, and there was no damage at all. Thank you, Hamiltons.

We have had an amazing experience with Hamiltons. From start to finish they have been friendly, helpful, professional and very competent. The team who arrived to carry out the move worked very hard and did an excellent job packing, wrapping and loading. They then transported everything down to our storage unit where it was professionally and carefully packed in, maximising space and following instructions to keep some items more accessible. Hamiltons have personally moved me 3 times and just recently my mother, who had a large 16th century home. At the age of 85, we managed to convince her to downsize to a bungalow.

The move was a smooth process, the guys were very empathic to all but especially my Mum. Huge brownie points, Mum is a tough cookie at the best of times.

I will 5 star recommend Hamiltons, they already know they will move me again in the very near future. Thank you Mike and all the crew that make Hamiltons an exceptional removal company.

We have moved many times and this was without doubt the best experience. The crew were fast, strong, helpful, careful with our things and great fun. The office staff are organised, communicative, efficient and very helpful to deal with. No hesitation in recommending.

Our move went like clockwork. The men were efficient,effective and pleasant. It made the stressful process of moving much less trying. It is the second time they have moved me and I wouldn’t now consider using another company even if they gave a lesser quote.

We came across Hamilton's simply by Googling, but were very impressed from start to finish.
From the moment we contacted Hamilton's to the completion, they made the whole experience painless.
This was the first time we have used a removal firm as we were moving from Nottinghamshire up to the Highlands of Scotland so was a 3 day job.
We opted to do our own packing.
As arranged two of the team turned up on the first day and proceeded to load the lorry with our boxes and furniture and also loaded my Jager F type into the covered trailer. The team of 2 worked really hard and got everything loaded, getting on the road up north by 5pm the same day.
After an overnight stop, the team arrived in the Highlands at 1pm the following day
The team then proceeded to unload everything for us, placing everything where we wanted it in our new home.
Again, the team of 2 worked very hard and worked late to get everything unloaded, making their return joinery back the following day.
Hamiltons were amazing - so professional, polite, helpful, and calm - which was really appreciated. Nothing was too much trouble for them.

WHAT A SERVICE. This company is definitely built on honesty and excellent people, and it shows. PLEASE try these guys; you will NOT be disappointed.

An absolute pleasure to work with. We had a very stressful move and Hamiltons really did go above and beyond to help us with everything. Astral was absolutely amazing at organising everything last minute after our move was cancelled 3 times previously and the crew were exceptional.
