We had our new solar and battery system installed by Halo a little over a month ago, and couldn't have been happier with the whole experience.

From the quoting stage they were excellent to deal with, attentively listening to our requirements, and providing a competitive quote - including multiple last minute tweaks and changes. They were not pressuring in their approach at all, and genuinely were a pleasure to deal with. Everything was explained well, including covering how we might get better value for money from our system post install.

Regarding installation, the scaffolding went up around a week before and was left up for a week after, it would have been nice to have a little bit more communication regarding when this would happen, as they literally just showed up and started construction / deconstruction without any warning.

The actual installation itself was excellent however, the team were prompt and polite, and everything was completed by just after lunch with a solid handover. In particular they were communicative regarding any issues they found with our roof and setup, and dealt with them quickly. On the day they were also able to tweak the setup and fit in an extra panel after we expressed we would have as many as possible.

The paperwork and handover was also sorted incredibly quickly and we had everything required to register for an outgoing rate in our hands shortly after settling the final invoice, it was all handled very professionally. We would more then happily recommend them in the future and will happily return should we decide we need a battery expansion!

Needed to replace our battery and approached several suppliers. Matthew proposed a Sigenergy battery and inverter larger than others offered at a comparable price. He patiently answered all of my questions without any 'hard sell' including managing all of the DNO/MCS paperwork.
The installation of the battery and integration with our PV system was professionally and efficiently managed by Bradley. Two weeks in and the 'Time based control' mode in the MySigen App is already delivering significant savings. Would highly recommend Halo for the quality of the service from query to fully commissioned system.

A company who knows how to give excellent service. From Matt to the electrician Brad and the panel fitter Tomasz, great service and efficiency at it's best. 15 panels all fitted and working in one day and the scaffolding down extremely promptly. Highly recommended.

Whilst I could have written a review as soon as install day, I wanted to wait a little while to ensure the system is working as it should and to review any after sales service. I have had the system for a month now so feel in a place to write this review;
Quote / pre-install:
I had a number of quotes as expected and Halo came out as one of the most competitive. They were patient and able to change things very promptly, with the owner offering exceptional service and no BS. When speaking through other quotes with them, they were again professional and not at all dismissive. I conducted my own research through companies house and it looks as though Halo is in a really good position and should be around for a long time for any after care.
There was no pressure or sales tactics and they have belief in what they offer, so in the end, it was an easy decision.
I ensured the work wasn't started before the paperwork had been approved by the DNO and Halo didn't push for a date to book in until the DNO had responded (in case they didn't agree with the level of work). The application process was fast and communicated throughout.
The team sent out an engineer for a pre inspection to confirm panels / design / location and issues. This was seamless again and they were able to answer more technical questions about the exact location of the install.

Install day;
This was a slick and incredible install. The roofers came first in the morning and were starting within 10 minutes - not enough enough time for a quick brew! Although only 2 people showed up, which I thought wouldn't be enough for 20 panels, they had completed the roof work and had all panels installed in 3 hours! It was refreshing to see installers graft as hard as they did whilst still being very careful about the work they were completing.
Later on in the morning, the electrician arrived and confirmed where all the runs / wires were going to be located as well as the battery and gateway. He then proceeded to complete all the work and the whole install was completed within 4 hours! That is for 20 x panels, 2 x batteries, inverter and gateway. The electrician went through the app, ensured I was happy with everything and even enabled features so I could run smart home apps from the inverter.
All 3 installers cleaned up after themselves and were professional and polite throughout. I was amazed at how quickly they completed the work, but as they said - when they are doing 4 or 5 installs a week - it becomes 2nd nature. A really impressive install day and I couldn't have been happier.

Post install - After payment, all documents were sent across promptly and allowed for me to apply for my export number as well as having my insurance backed documents returned. Nothing was withheld and the transparency from the company is refreshing to see.
The system has worked flawlessly and is on par with the estimates they had given so far, so again, really good, honest service from Halo.

I don't often do reviews as generally service is on par with what I would expect for the money I pay - but Halo went above and beyond and from my own research, I could see they are a company you would want to be dealing with. I now rave about my solar install to everyone I meet and there is no comparison to any of the other companies that quoted me for the work. Thanks Halo for an amazing experience.

I had an excellent experience with the team at Halo Renewables. From start to finish the communication was great and their pricing was very competitive compared to other quotes.

The installation was efficient and completed in one day. Since the system has been up and running, I’ve had excellent results, my best day in March produced 49kw of energy from my 18x 485w Aiko panels—everything is performing exactly as I’d hoped and energy bills are now non existent. Highly recommended.

This week we had our Solar panels coupled with Sigenergy battery's, inverter, gateway and EV charger. Matt from Halo renewables has been a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Always answering any questions we had quickly and efficiently making the whole process from quoting to commissioning seamless. Bradley ,Thomas and the rest of the installation team did a great job and we are delighted with the finished result. Overall 10/10 with our experience with Halo renewables. Not only did they knock the ball out of the park with the pricing but the finished result with the installation and commissioning is impeccable.

Matt sold us a system that has proved to do exactly what he promised, Now a week in we are seeing super savings on our energy bills. They handled the project documentation and essential certification in a timely manor leading to us receiving a high quality Sinergy system with 15 panels and a 10kw battery at a competitive price. The installation performed by a dedicated team led by Brad was excellent. I stongly recommend Halo.

Having decided that I wanted a Sigenergy system, I went looking for a Sig specialist and came across Halo. Firstly Matt listened to what I was trying to achieve and specified exactly what i was looking for, secondly there was no hard sell - he left me alone to consider things for a month, and lastly their quote was very competitive. On the day, their team of 4 was polite, swift and efficient. The install was completed in 5 hours and was extremely tidy. I am extremely happy with the result. 1 week in, the system performance is ahead of what I was expecting and overall I'm delighted with result. (10x Aiko 510, 20/5 kwh Sig system)

Excellent. Halo Renewables have replaced our roof with a new in-roof solar system and battery and I have to say from start to finish they have been excellent. The team worked tirelessly for us and Thomasz ensured our property was water tight every evening. Matt was in touch throughout and always on hand to answer any queries. The price was very reasonable and the result worth every penny.

I can whole heartedly recommend Halo Renewables, everything from the advice, design and install were on point and Matt and the install team were fantastic.

I’m happy to admit I was a bit of awkward customer with changing mind some of the equipment I wanted and also changing the location of the battery which required some redesign and extra logistics from the Halo team but they managed to pull it out of the bag for me relatively last minute.

I have to give a special shoutout to the install team as the worked extremely hard getting the equipment installed in a challenging day of changing weather.

Unfortunately despite best efforts the work was unable to be fully competed on the day due to terrible weather but the install team made sure to prioritise solar/ battery install and agreed to come back at a later date for the EV charger instal which I don’t need yet anyway.

A big thanks to the team at Halo Renewable's for my solar panel and battery system installation. From the initial consultation to the system being integrated perfectly the entire process was seamless. The team were professional, courteous while on-site and the quality of their workmanship was excellent. Prior to departure they ensured I was completely happy with the installation, it's App operation and even tidied up every bit a debris. It's rare to find such a combination of great workmanship with sterling customer service at a competitive price. I highly recommend this team and would definitely use them again.

Halo Renewables have been excellent in all aspects from sales to delivery. The price was attractive but more importantly the quality of the solution. The quotation was detailed and clear which helped to ensure the product was fit for purpose. The installation team were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. In fact in my case, they recommended a battery location which was more work for them to install but ensured there was no h&s issues. Matt was also great to deal with, kept me informed and ensured the system was installed quickly and efficiently.

I have today had my SIGEN solar system, panels and batteries, installed by the hard-working team at Halo Renewables.
The scaffolding was already in place, but the team of Bradley, Thomas, Luke & Riley arrived at the expected time and battled through horrendous weather conditions to install 16 roof mounted panels and a wall mounted SIGEN inverter and batteries set up in the garage.
The communication throughout the quotation process from the Company Director -Matthew was very proactive and non-pestering. The survey that was carried out by the Surveyor -Guy Jackson was thorough and it was obvious that all the information he gathered had been communicated to the installation team when they arrived so they were able to get to work immediately and the resulting installation is exactly what I wanted.
In a very competitive market, I would highly recommend Halo Renewables and the SIGENSTOR inverter and battery set up. Make sure you check that your installer has the correct accreditations for installing both panels and batteries as a number of companies are offering services without having the correct accreditation. Halo Renewables had everything that was required for a fully warranted installation.

First up, I'm a massively difficult customer. I like to understand what I'm buying, and why one thing is better than another. Id spent ages looking into solar, meeting the full range of salesmen, call centre guys and one man band electricians. I had almost decided on an installer, when I came across halo and gave them a call.
From the first contact, it was clear Matt's approach was different. He laid out the facts of how his systems could work best, selling generated solar and charging the battery at night. The figures stacked up, and I was reassured that even if the figures for selling change, I'd still have a system which would cover my energy needs.
I asked lots of questions, all of which Matt had an answer to. For example, aiko panels are the choice of the moment, but Matt urged a little caution, as they are a newer company and their prices are significantly higher. His recommendation was dmegc, based on his experience, their time in the market and their backup. Again, much research proved him right.
Looking deeper, it's not just the quality of the headline kit he uses, but the little things. Clenergy rails, genius flashings, and other touches which would be easy to cut corners on, and most customers would never know, until it failed in a few years. This kit isnt the cheapest, but on each count the stuff Matthews team used proved to be the best you could get.
Matthews price was very competitive. Sure I could have saved a few pounds going with a call centre installer, but it would've been a bit risk as to who you'd get on the day. I know it wouldn't be who was best for the job, but who bidded cheapest.

From speaking to the office a few times I got a real sense that this was a family business, but was big enough to cope. Companies house backed up that assertion. Finally, knowing the install team are all their own staff, rather than a cheapest bidder generic install team.
Install was booked, and guy the surveyor came round. Id already got a good idea of where things could go, but again he respectfully suggested alternatives which made more sense.
Install came around fast, and was almost derailed due to the dno dragging the heir heels. My only feedback on halo would be that I did feel my concerns about to having an install completed without the approval in place were minimised. Perhaps it's a normal thing, but for me it felt like a risk. As it turned out the office staff harassed the dno sufficiently to get the approval in place.
Install day went really well. Thomasz and Riley cracked on on the roof, with the electrician team getting everything wired up. Lots of questions from the electricians was very welcome as it was clear they wanted the neatest install, taking into account the peculiarities of my house. They even routed wires through a loft to avoid clipping them outside the house. Much slower and more hassle, but much neater and all completed without grumble. The fact they all work together daily was evident. Each knew what the others would need, and it was all ready when it was meant to be. Great teamwork!
They kindly hardwired the network connection in for me, to avoid having to use my flaky WiFi.
Clearly it was a long hard day, and the weather was frankly terrible, but all were friendly and worked with good humour. I just supplied coffee and biscuits.
I couldn't resist a trip up the scaffolding the day after install (I did say I'm a difficult customer!). Everything is really neat and tidy. I understand that installing on slate is particularly tricky, but it looks brilliant. Cables tied out of the way, bird protection clipped neatly in place and the rails installed nicely.
I'm really pleased with my install and would absolutely recommend halo to friends. Glad I went with them over one of the call centre style operations who sub out each stage of the install.

From the moment we contacted Halo Renewables we knew we were in very safe hands. We had done a tonne of research before contacting them. Guy, their surveyor came out, quickly got the gist of what we were thinking and checked out our roof. We met with Matt, the owner, who’s knowledge is just superb, and we soon realised the system we thought we needed wasn’t going to be quite big enough and we could have been really disappointed. There was no hard sell as the facts spoke for themselves and we had total confidence to stretch to a slightly larger system, as it just made total sense to do so. But it didn’t end there. WOW, what a team Matt has working for him. Prior to the install we spoke to Ashton and then met with Tommy at their offices, as we had a few additional questions, which they took time to explain, making us feel nothing was too much trouble. The fitters and Electrician turned up on time, they got straight on with the job, each of them introduced themselves as they arrived and talked us through what they would be doing. They were so polite, extremely personable and just such a great bunch of people. Just what you want when you have people you’ve not met before in and around your home. We would like to thank Tomasz and Reilly, who fitted the panels, Luke who helped Brad do the electrics, and Brad who did such a fantastically neat job with the electrics and talked us through the app. Everything was done cleanly, tidily and with no fuss. Our system went in on 13th January and we are SO pleased with it. We would highly recommend Halo Renewables

After a some research and a few calls with Matt at Halo we took the plunge.
So pleased we picked Halo I must say the calls with Matt were so useful and his knowledge swung it for me.
Fitted today, lads were on time, explained the install and it was all fitted easily within the day.
They helped me set the app up and explained how to use it.
We were on Solar at 2pm on a winters day free power, with the battery topping up.
I should of done it sooner.

Great company to deal with. We had some real world issues at the time of installation 14 months ago but these were sorted out very quickly. The system, panels and battery have been great. We had an outage a week or so ago and Alfie, Ashley and Tommy got us back online very quickly. Thanks guys, great job.
