We only have one aim, to give savers direct access to, or allow trustees, employers and providers to provide tools their pension savers need, to improve their retirement outcomes. Put simply, there are plenty of tools which tell pension savers if they take A each year, earn B returns, their pots will last for C years. For almost everyone these offer no practical help, as nearly everyone has other income or savings to put towards retirement. Included in these are State Pensions, Final Salary pensions, ISA savings and part time work for example. Some of these are taxable, some are not. Our tool is the only fully holistic planning tool that can be used directly by individuals without expert input. Our tool answers the one question pension savers actually want answered, "How do I use everything I have, to get the after tax income I want in retirement?". Very useful retirement planner
I was recommended Guiide by someone on a Facebook page about retirement planning. Of all the retirement planning tools I have used, this one was by far the most comprehensive. Simple to enter the data, and simple to edit too. It also allows countless 'what if' scenarios.
I would recommend to anyone that wants to start retirement planning. It's never too early to start.

Useful for single people, look forward to joint analysis being added
Simple to use and produces useful graphs and resilience tests but for me I need the household joint analysis so I'll try it again when that functionality is added.

Straightforward planning
Easy to get a retirement plan, but several limitations (at the moment) mean that it doesn’t cover all situations, but I believe Guiide will improve over time. I like how it gives a different scenarios rather than “this will definitely happen”.

Great platform, but not if you want to use a protected pension age and retire before 55
Sadly you don't allow a retirement age under 55. Plenty of people have a protected pension age of 50 (I know I'm one lol) and would like to access their pension long before 55 (or 57 as it will soon be)

Many thanks for the review. Think its the first time I have had one starting Great Platform but 1 star.
Lets look at the issue you raise. I am not sure if there are any online retirement calculators that offer a pension pot withdrawals from age 50 or access to a final salary scheme from age 50. Although it is possible for those in certain occupational schemes before 2006 as you say.
I imagine the reason for this (like our own) is because it may lead others in the general public without this protection to use it incorrectly and therefore get misleading information.
As you say, others in these schemes may have the same issue. In an ideal world the scheme (or their trustees) would recognise this and provide a tool like ours but with this customisation for their members.
If this is not the case for your scheme, we would be more than happy to discuss licensing a customised version to them with this protected age element. If they wish to support their members with this protection better they may wish to provide this.
Please let me know of the scheme in question or feel free to forward this offer onto them.
