Delivered next working day. Prices on bullion are generally competitive. Their 1g bar subscription even makes margins on 1g bars pretty decent if you buy for the 12 months. Some of their info on the website is well out of date though e.g. info about the company activity and history which could give a bad impression for those not familiar with the Tavex 'brand'.

I made my first purchase with Tavex and I'm very happy with my order and service received. Initially phoned them and were very polite and knowledgeable. I placed my order late on Wednesday 01/04/26 and received it on Saturday 04/04/26. Considering that no parcels are delivered on Good Friday I received my order very quickly. Discreetly and well packaged. Tavex are among the top 3 bullion dealers for best prices. I will definitely use them again. Recommended.

No replacement for damaged item
I bought 4 gold bars: 1 was ok, 2 were dirty (took some effort but I was able to clean them) and 1 was damaged, presenting multiple scratches on the card/assay. I requested a replacement of the scratched item from Tavex (took them 6 days to reply to my e-mail) and they declined, claiming that this kind of issue can happen in transit and that because the gold in the card was in good condition, they would not replace it.
Extract from their e-mail: "I can assure you that all items in your order were new, and of investment gold quality. Unfortunately, when items are sent out by post, the CertiPack-style plastic packaging can become scratched. The gold bar is still in good condition and can be sold on as an investment item. For this reason, we cannot offer a replacement or refund. "
Each gold bar was posted in a paper envelop, all inside a padded envelope; the cards could have been bent or broken in transit but not scratched, without damaging the packaging; therefore the Tavex explanation makes no sense and lacks any degree of accountability.
