The mutton rack was absolutely lovely
The mutton rack was absolutely lovely. If I were cooking it again however, I wouldn’t use the instructions given on the website.
I would score the fat and render it on the hob, then roast in the oven.

A rewarding discovery.
I originally visited Gridironmeat online to source pork back fat .What I discovered was a delightful selection of meat at very reasonable prices.
The site was easy to navigate and ordering was a simple process.
My purchases arrived on time and were extraordinarily well packed. The business is both efficient and effective.
Without exception, the meat was well butchered and very tasteful. The pork back fat I purchased rendered down perfectly to produce a most wonderful pure lard.
I will most certainly use again on a regular basis.

Returning customer.
Two recent orders of trad sirloin and rib eye both full of flavour and tender as! As an experiment, I purchased another sirloin from a recognised premium local butcher today and compared. Perhaps with the delivery charge GIM works out a little more expensive, but I'm more than happy to pay...there was no comparison.
As a repeat purchaser, I also recommend the Old Fashioned Smoked streaky bacon, thick cut and rind on, it really is old fashioned. Would prefer a heavier smoke if I had to be critical.

Excellent produce and first rate support
The decision to order fresh food online is not an easy one. You need confidence in the food itself and the people supplying it to you. Seeing other reviews helps but it is your personal experience that makes the ultimate difference. Before I bought, I was able to ask some questions by email and get very helpful answers. I was looking for a specialist cut of pork shoulder (the Boston Butt) to produce pulled pork for a party of 35. I was guided through the selection of the product, and given helpful advice on cooking. I was able to specify a delivery date and the product arrived as planned. It was absolutely excellent quality. Having cooked it, my guests were full of praise for the flavour and texture of the meat. So, an all round fantastic job and I would have no hesitation in recommending the Grid Iron Meat Company to anyone.

Quality meat and great customer service
First order through gridiron for pork ribs on the smoker. The ribs are really meaty, but also squarely trimmed, which is great of you are doing lots!
The customer service was fantastic. One of my two boxes went missing in transit. I sent an email at 6.30pm on Thursday, expecting a reply in the morning. But several emails later that evening with Ian and he confirmed replacement ribs would be delivered before 12pm on the Saturday.
